Hibiki's Apartment

Hibiki’s apartment in the Human World is situated in the outskirts of Gold Coast, Australia. It is a modest building found in Burleigh Waters suburb of the city, which is a part of the Burleigh Heads area. Hibiki works in the James Street area of Burleigh Heads, switching from the various work places as maintaining a single job is difficult, given his role as a Shinigami Captain.

The apartment itself is fairly secluded, and though it is a bit shabby it is far from inhospitable, but it still could use a repaint or so. Hibiki’s room is found at the topmost level of the two-story building, and he is fairly close to the staircase leading to the roof of the apartment. This is appropriate as The rooftop is the one normally used for emergency meetings, which is wide and spacious, as compared to Hibiki’s room which is fairly small to minimize his expenses.

As a last touch, there is a Senkaimon path that leads directly to the rooftop of Hibiki’s apartment. This is labeled as an emergency path, and is only to be used in dire times.

Hei has since acquired the rights to the land and the former tenants have found other accommodations. After buying it up, he made some changes and repaired the entire complex. As always, surrounding the entire complex and the adjoining lot, is a Hachigyō Sōgai, which prevents intrusion by anyone on the other side of the barrier, save Lee who created it, and Hei, who managed a sight-based memory retrieval to use Bankai when he gets near it..

Apartment Complex Layout

  • A: The main lobby of the apartment complex serves as a quaint recreation area in which the tenants are able to gather in small groups. Upon entering the front door, there is a short stretch of hallway that terminates with a sitting area at the far end. The sitting area plays host to a couch, two chairs, a fire place, and a coffee table as well as various wall hangings and potted plants. Just before this area is a hallway leading to apartments 1 and 2 to the left and a flight of stairs at the very end, and a hallway leading to apartments 3 and 4 on the right. The stairs leads to the second floor, which plays host to apartments 5-8 from one end to the other. After that is the third floor, which leads directly to a long hallway with a door to the immediate left, which opens to the laundromat, a door on the right in the middle of the hallway which leads to apartment #9, and a door on the far end of the hallway at the left that opens up to storage. The stairwell finally ends as it reaches the roof, which plays host to an emergency Senkaimon. Off to the right of the sitting area, but behind it as well is an elevator, but it does not go to the roof.
  • B: The roof is host to the emergency Senkaimon, but is primarily used for the Shinigami meetings.
  • C: The adjacent lot is no more than an area for play, but the secret of the lot is that there is a hidden door there that leads down into the vast training grounds beneath the surface of the Earth.
  • D: A storage shed where supplies are kept.

Jūnibantai Fukutaichō

Even though she alone knew that the Sephira would be trapped inside the Seireitei for a year and a half, and knew that here they would be safe, Tsukiko still could not put herself at ease. Her friend was gone and others were heavily wounded, and the Sephira were more powerful than she had anticipated. As she appeared atop Hibiki's apartment in the Human World, her sensors and other such things went off, quickly scanning the area for other spiritual life forms and tabbing the temperature, a manageable 75.9 °F in the dead of April. Tsukiko spared a glance behind her, taking note of the fact that the Senkaimon was still wide open. This was not such a surprise given several other Senkaimon were to connect with this one, and everyone else was using it at the same time she had been. She was surprised she hadn't bumped in to anyone on the way here. For a moment, Tsukiko stopped and stood still, switching to her most basic sight setting that instantly turned everything, in her eyes, into a great black expanse where anything was solid was mapped on a 3D grid with green lines. Once her CPU was done collecting a digital map of this entire block and storing it away, Tsukiko switched back to what would be normal vision for a human.

Stepping off the edge of the roof, Tsukiko landed on the sidewalk below and ran off in search of both a place she could find medical bandages as well as something that she could use to hide her unsightly appearance from her wife. By the time she was several blocks away, she saw the light of a Senkaimon across the street from her and she stopped abruptly, wondered who would be this far away, and turned to watch as Ciel stumbled out and fell to the ground nearly the second he made it through. In three quick steps, Tsukiko was at his side, kneeling in his blood which quickly began to soak her cloak. Gingerly she took his hand as he said his final words, and unable to find any words to say at this moment, remained dead silent as Ciel passed on right there in middle of that dirty street. In some way, Tsukiko could help but blame herself for his death. He had died protecting Yuki and Elisia, and if she had just been faster instead of focused on being angry at Ori, she could have prevented this. It was several seconds after Ciel had died that she managed to say anything, and even as a gynoid she couldn't choke back the sadness she was feeling. "Goodnight... I will make sure you get the hero status you deserve..." Squeezing his hand briefly before letting it go, Tsukiko looked at him as she considered cremating him on the spot. She couldn't really think of why she shouldn't, especially since she couldn't just take him back to the apartment to bleed all over Hibiki's furniture. However, just before she cast Haien on him, she stopped and realized that someone else might have some parting words for him just as she had had them. Letting out a mechanical sigh, Tsukiko picked Ciel up and leaned him against the nearest building. "Just wait right there... I'll be right back..." She said, almost implying he had a choice.

In a flash she was gone, running all over the area until she finally returned about five minutes later with an arm full of medical bandages and a black cloak, though the bandages would not be used for the purpose that she had originally intended, at least not completely. Sitting in front of Ciel, she expertly disrobed him and then patched up his wounds with copious amounts of the bandages. Tsukiko already used her rings to turn the bandages into spiritual bandages so that they would be invisible to humans, and she had done so in the middle of the store she had been in, though she felt bad about stealing. There was nothing she could do about that now, however, so she would just have Hibiki pay for them later with his human money. Now that he was all patched up and no longer bleeding all over everything, she stood up and cancelled her Bankai, reverting to shikai for the time being. Her change in attire had rid her of the blood-stained clothes and provided her with the comfortable Chinese-themed attire of her Shikai, namely the halter top and brocade pants, both of which would soon come to be covered with long coat. She would have sealed Juushin completely, but her wedding dress had a ruined strap, so she would have to wait until she could fix that. Glancing down at the back of her left hand, she saw her division's symbol, the thistle, indicating that her power had been reduced down to 20% as was customary when going to the Human World. The thistle stood for vengeance, and that was well how she felt at the moment. It was only her mother's orders and her wife's safety that had stopped her from using her full power against Ori in a fit of blind rage. In the back of her mind, even though she thought it might cost her her life, Tsukiko was sure she could have done something significant to the man, if not bring him to death. Picking up a roll of the bandages, Tsukiko began to wrap up her entire head in order to hide her chassis and glowing red eyes from the rest of her colleagues by the time she had returned. Once she was done with this, she picked up the long black cloak she had stolen and threw it over her shoulders, then slid the hood over her bandages head. Now every inch of her body was covered and only two dull traces of glowing red could be seen from beneath the cloak's hood. Picking Ciel up, she began to make her way back towards Hibiki's apartment. All in all, she had been gone for over 20 minutes, and would return long after everyone else had returned.

[She won't actually be back at the apartment until my next post with her. tl;dr; She arrived, scanned the area, then set off for bandages for the wounded. On her way, she found Ciel and watched him die, pondering on whether she should cremate him or not. Deciding against it, she left him then returned with bandages and a cloak. After patching him up, she reverted to Shikai, put the cloak on, then grabbed Ciel and set off back to the apartment.]

Tadashi Sakamoto

9th Division Lieutenant

Other than Hibiki, Tadashi knew this place best. The area in which Hibiki had stayed was familiar to him, so he found the place where everyone would meet in case of emergency situations like the one they'd been through. Thus, he made it onto the rooftop first, unaware of the fact that Ciel had just died. He paused for a moment, allowing his beating heart to slow down and the battle thrill to fade. Then, he realized his Bankai was still active and cancelled it, knowing that he'd soon feel the negative effects of using it in the manner he had.

Sakamoto sat down and rubbed his forehead, frustrated with the whole affair. How quickly things changed.

Nu was one of the latter ones to appear into the human world, as she carried Lee with her. Instead of of the roof, she chose to appear by the entrance of the apartment, no real reason behind this action. Stepping out, she looked around, already sensing her limiter. She has heard about this place, this was one of the various zones Hibiki used when he was deployed into the Human world. Walking slowly into the building, Nu had to take note of the amount of dust collecting inside the building, doubting Hibiki's ability to clean. Walking past all these things, Nu was forced to climb the stairs, Lee slung on her back, adjusting her weight at each step. Reaching the second floor, she began looking for a bed to lay the captain on. Eventually finding a small one at the end of the hallway, Nu let the Captain rest, already searching for something to treat him with. Leaving the room, she makes off to scour the building for anything that could be used as such, though she checked up on the roof first, as the main gateway was there. The other captains have not arrived yet so she made helping Lee her highest priority.

The kitchen was the most obvious place to look for water, though she was hesitant on the state of the liquid and if it was safe to use on any sort of life. Turning the knob slowly, she was pleased to find regular looking water burst forth, meaning Hibiki at least pays for his bills while he was at the human world, as what, it was a mystery. Filling a small pan with water, she carries the thing back to his room, watching him as he slept. "Tch, I bet you are going to scold me when you wake up huh?" She once read that even the unconscious can still hear their surroundings, though she has no idea if that was actual fact, though she liked talking to people when a battle raged on around them. Reaching into her pocket, he delicately pulls out her scarf Eriko returned, placing it back upon the napes of her neck, the only part of her clothing that was still relatively intact. Looking over to Lee, she couldn't help but feel proud of being her former lieutenant. He certainly hasn't lost his touch since she had left. "Idiot......using those kinds of Kido....."

Glancing at her arm, she sighed, perhaps Hei had something if she was asked him enough. She was hopeful anyway, as she couldn't imagine life without her other arm. As ready for death as she may be, this did set things back for her, maybe she'll ask Elisia instead, better chances with her. Before she left, she leaned down on Lee, a hesitant look on her face. "Ah...." Kissing the man lightly, she instantly rises up, red faced. Letting her scarf fall, she leaves the room in a quicker pace, to go to the roof again.

[Hehe, bad Nu~ xD]

A pair of sliding doors appeared in the middle of the rooftop, as Elisia stepped out of the Senkaimon onto the rooftop. Looking around herself in surprise, she was momentarily thrown off by the location. The Human World was still full of the unknown to her, as she had not made frequent visits to the Human World and had definitely never come to this particular area before. Seeing Tadashi, she nodded at him, looking a little dazed as she was a little preoccupied with things. She adjusted Hei’s position on her shoulder as she frantically searched for a place where she could put him down. Noting the fact that they were on rooftop, on which she doubted there was going to be a bed or anything like that, she sighed, sifting through the current possibilities. Of course, she could try to go to Hibiki’s apartment, which she was guessing was below, and attempt to find a bed for him to rest on, but Yuki would be coming soon and obviously, the woman would want to see him. Still, she could not believe the fact that Yuki was pregnant and while she really wanted to know more, she knew that asking here, in front of everyone else, was basically revealing it to the others. She trusted them with secrets, but since that her mother-in-law had asked her, there was no avoiding it. There was also the fact that the others would most likely gather here, so it would be silly to move now, only to have to come back later.

Looking down at her clothes, she let out an exasperated groan. Her wedding dress had not been exactly cheap and she had taken quite a bit of time to choose the appropriate one that matched her wife’s and one that she liked. Unfortunately, now it was utterly ruined – she had lost the train part to her dress and there was a massive slit on her right side. If they were going to stay here for a while, she’d need to find new clothes one way or another. She spotted the limiter, which had appeared, in the symbol of the bellflower. This particular insignia was for the Yonbantai Division, and it meant ‘those who grieve are loved’. At that, her memory jolted to other things – more important things than her clothes. Half of her entire Yonbantai Division had been decimated by Kyouketsuki, Kyo’s vampire, and they had already lost one Lieutenant to a black hole. She had no time before to prepare a burial, let alone grieve, and yet, while she knew that she needed to do that, there was no doubt that it would be better to do it in private. Wondering where her wife had gone and hoping that Tsuki was alright, she carefully lowered herself to the ground and sat down cross-legged, before rearranging Hei so that his head was resting on her lap. While she knew that she usually used this position only for her wife, it was the best idea that she could come up with for the meantime. Remembering that her Bankai was still active, she double-checked his unconscious state with Libra, before sealing it completely. As gently as she possibly could, she lightly shook him, attempting to rouse him without him getting mad. “Shuuto-san,” the term for father-in-law felt uncomfortable on her tongue as she had never used it before, especially since it was Hei she was referring to, “Can you please wake up?”

KATO MEISHI

Change is the constant,
the signal for rebirth,
the egg of the phoenix,
Angels are bright still ,
though the.BRIGHTEST fell.

Kato walked slowly onto the roof. Ignoring anyone who might've arrived before him, he assumed the lotus position with his sword placed across his legs. As he sat he began to think, and the more he thought, the more he realized that this was one of the worst situations the Soul Society could be in. Every second spent here he knew another one of his subordinates was murdered. "Where is the justice in retreating," he thought, his fists clenching. "Where is the honor?" As he thought more he was forced to acknowledge that they did not have the strength to continue the battle, let alone win it. This raised an important question. "If we can't win it now, when will we be able to? Will we be able to?" Kato clenched his hand around his unsheathed blade, drawing blood quite easily.

"You don't really want to fight, do you, Kato." The sheer notion of that comment shocked Kato for a few seconds.

"Of course I want to fight! Kanpata, you of all people should know me better th--"

"Shut up, Kato. Just...shut up." Once again, Kato was rendered speechless. "You don't want to fight. You know how I can tell? You no longer see the point. We might as well have already lost and you be dead. It's all the same to you. Yes, our shinigami are dying, but every second complaining or mourning will not help the ones that are fighting right now! Don't you see? We have to fight with the belie--no, the internal rock solid knowledge that we will win and we will save not only us, but the humans too. You should at least know that, you were a human once too, remember?" He paused. "A wise person once told me that it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog. You may not be the heavy hitter, but trust me, with my help, whomever faces us will wish they hadn't. Now pick your head up and fight. And if you die, die well knowing that you hit that son of a b***h with everything you had."

Kato smiled and remembered a passage he read in the Human World. It wrote,
We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.

Tadashi Sakamoto

9th Division Lieutenant

Tadashi felt the presence of anther Captain and saw Elisia there, looking battered and somewhat depressed. Of course, there was also the fact that Hei of all people was out cold and looking injured. Standing up, Tadashi paced over to where Elisia was trying to talk Hei into consciousness.

"...I'm sorry about all this...is, well, is anyone else hurt?" he asked after a moment's pause. He knew Elisia's mind had to be overloaded with what had just transpired on her oh-so-happy day, but he wanted to know just what damages had been sustained by the Gotei for obvious reasons. Truthfully, he didn't know exactly what happened to anyone else but those who had been in his sight. He knew Suzume was okay, for example, but not if someone like Hideki was unharmed.

Despite the fact that the winds generated from his attack were fierce enough to actually hinder his line of sight, Hibiki was still confident that Tadashi had taken the opportunity to launch a surprise attack against Neida. Though, he was still doubtful if their speed could outmatch her sensor capabilities, Hibiki was still confident that they would win it, one way or another. It was for this reason that he was surprised by the sudden emergence of a veil of fire all around him, effectively encasing him in a column of fire. He doubted it was an attack by the enemy, as they could’ve simply incinerated them on the spot, which caused him to wonder who exactly did it. His question would soon be answered as he received the mental message directly from the Captain-Commander herself. Her words were dire, and though Hibiki was still somewhat confident that they would be able to pull through somehow, he dared not to ask questions and instead sealed his zanpakuto and opened a Senkaimon from within the column of fire. Given the events that had transpired, they would most likely make use of his apartment in the Human World as an evacuation center, and though Hibiki knew this one of their backup plans in case of such a contingency, he never dreamed they’d have to really use.

Passing through the Senkaimon channel that led directly to his apartment’s rooftop, Hibiki could already feel the limiter upon him as he entered the Human World, something he had grown used to. He was immediately alerted to the presence of several, but not all of the Shinigami. Doing a quick scan of the area, Hibiki noticed his Lieutenant Tadashi, along with Captains Elisia, Kato, and Hei, the latter of which was visibly knocked out cold. Though, Hibiki was glad Hei showed some sign of weakness, it was a hollow pleasure as it wouldn’t do them any good right now. Rubbing his forehead to relax himself, he managed to catch some brief traces of reiatsu from Nu and Lee who were just below them, probably inside his room. He was glad that he was of some use to them, but a sudden thought raced through his mind which caused him to panic a bit. Phasing through the rooftop, as was possible given the fact that he was a spirit, Hibiki fell down the ceiling of his room, taking care not to disturb Lee just as Nu left. Jumping into a closed locker, Hibiki emerged from the sizeable cabinet in his gigai, before briskly walking outside just in time to meet the trembling faces of the people he shared the payment of bills with, the couple Nina and Edward.

Grabbing him by the collar, Edward trembled ”D-dave.” he muttered, as it was Hibiki’s name in the Human World, mostly because his real name sounded far too eastern for the western area ”You won’t believe it man. When I came back from my job, I saw a floating pan in the kitchen and the faucet opened by itself man!” he yelled, at which point his girlfriend joined in ”Y-yeah, you don’t think this building is-- ”Haunted that’s exactly it!” interrupted Hibiki, much to the fright of the two as they let out a terrified scream. Patting their shoulders, Hibiki nodded to them ”Don’t worry, I’m an expert when it comes to these sorts of things.” he spoke, much to the delight of the two ”It seems that there are actually several spirits inside the building, and much more might arrive. This makes it difficult to cast them out, but there is one way to do so-- by using the divine absolute powers of a Shinto priest!“ Hibiki spoke out as he quietly as he could so as not to disturb Lee and Hei, though he didn’t care about the latter. Taken back by Hibiki’s demands, Edward stammered out ”A Shinto priest? Are you kidding me? There’s no way we can find one!” to which Nina simply nodded ”But it is the only way, now go, I’ll try and slow down their passage to the best of my capabilities.” with that Hibiki turned them around and escorted them to the ground floor before pushing them out of the gate ”Y-you’ll hold them back, how?” Nina spoke as the two of them were pushed out ”Using my will of course! Now go! I’m entrusting the fate of our home and of myself to the two of you.” Hibiki stated. Nodding the two of them promised not to let him down and ran off in search of a Shinto Priest.

Once the two of them were away from ear shot, Hibiki let out an exasperated sigh. Stretching his arms and legs, Hibiki felt some form of stiffness in his body, he mused it was rigor mortis before going back inside, deciding to simply walk back to the roof. He guessed it’d best if he stayed in his gigai so as not to give the impression that the building was deserted.

Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taichō

"Telling me to go. But hands beg me to stay. Your lips say that you love. Your eyes say that you hate. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. What you build you lay to waste. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take. So I, I won't be the one. Be the one to leave this. In pieces. And you, you will be alone. Alone with all your secrets. And regrets, don't lie. You promised me the sky. Then tossed me like a stone. You wrap me in your arms. And chill me to the bone. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take."

Lee had not felt himself be lifted up as he was lost in the dream world at the moment watching some old memories. After awhile he found himself lying down in his inner world which consisted of a frozen castle rising up out of the ocean. Rain fell without interruption as was normal for his inner world. In the distance sitting on a frozen throne was his spirit considering him with interest. Sitting up Lee groaned and rubbed his neck looking over at her. After a few moments silent conversation Lee got up and stretched. It was odd to be talking to his spirit again as if nothing had happened yet at the same time it was refreshing to be on good terms with her again. After what seemed like hours Namihime looked at him and told him it was time to return. Nodding in silence Lee gave her one last look before disappearing back into his body. He felt himself get laid down though didn't hear a word of what Nu had said. He wasn't entirely sure it was even Nu at the moment nor that what he was seeing was even real.

Perhaps everything had been a horrible dream and he was just now waking up from it having fell asleep at the reception. Gazing through barely open eyes Lee spotted the horrible wound Nu was sporting still and fell back into despair. It had all been real and instead of waking up from a nightmare he was waking up to a nightmare. His eyes closed completely again Lee could feel Nu's breath on his face for a moment. Then suddenly lips pressed down on his and after a brief kiss that Lee somewhat returned confused Nu rushed off. Sitting up completely in a daze Lee grabbed his head.
"Nu-chan..?" It all seemed too good to be true in the nightmare he was in as he looked around. Quickly he deduced this most certainly was not a hospital and after forcing himself to gaze out a window deduced they were not in Soul Society anymore. They had lost after all. Now they were banished from the home they knew it seemed.

"I failed." Looking down for a moment he moved back over to the bed and settled back down on top of it. What of the Sephira he had been fighting? Did he survive to go on to kill any people. Did he perhaps not get stopped one bit by the chain of attacks he used last? Looking at his hands he sighed taking his zanpakuto off his left side and threw it against the wall in anger. 'We failed yet again Nami. Failed our friends and colleagues against an opponent we should have best immediately. Next time I go into battle prepared.' Getting up he picked the zanpakuto up giving a silent apology and set it on the floor beside the bed. He was a failure and so he did what failures were supposed to do and laid down. Closing his eyes he thought back to the kiss Nu had just given him. What did it mean? Did she have feelings for him? Did he have feelings for her? It was all very confusing and his head spinning did not help. Either way sleep did not come leaving him laying there and left to his own dark thoughts.

"Sacrifice through Danger and Pure Love. That is what the Lily of the Valley symbolizes."

Elisia literally gave up trying to rouse Hei, even thought the talking wasn’t a very good idea from the start, instead looking up to Tadashi, a faint smile appearing on her face as she saw that he was basically unharmed. As he asked who had been hurt, she remembered the fact that he had been somewhere else far away from the others, so he would not know much about who was hurt. Of course, he had been taking care of Suzume then, and she had yet to thank him for that. “Thank you, by the way, for looking after my sister,” she told him in a grateful voice. After that, she fell into a period of silence for a few seconds as she reviewed who had been injured and what loss they had sustained from the battle. Struggling with herself to stop herself from crying, she settled into a weary mood, looking far older than she was usually. “From what I know, on our side, we lost basically all the Hachibantai members and half the Yonbantai members. We lost Jūichibantai Fukutaichō to a black hole and I assume that he’s most likely gone. Junibantai-Taichō and Masashi-Taichō are unconscious and several others, I expect.” she listed them in a tired voice before continuing on, “Other than that, I’m not sure of what the other casualties are.”

Casting a worried look in Kato’s direction, she wondered what the matter with him was. To tell the truth, there was an element of guilt with him, as she had been pretty close to him, before she had fallen in love with Tsuki. Perhaps it was time to bring that previous bond back. Remembering the fact that Huang was an old acquaintance of Kanpata, Kato’s zanpakuto spirit, she quietly thought, Huang, I need some help ~ An irritated noise from Huang echoed inside her mind before her spirit finally replied, Jeez, I’m running all your errands nowadays. Firstly your sister and now I have to talk to Kato? Fine, this is the last time and I mean that. Out of the corner of her eye, Elisia noticed Huang materializing in her human form, visible to everyone now. Satisfied with that, she turned her attention back on Tadashi. She had not managed to see or hear from him much in the battle, except of course, the telepathic messages, but that wasn’t much. “By the way, how are you? What happened? There was something about somebody healing, I believe?” she asked in a worried voice. Meanwhile, Huang had gone up to Kato, looking down at him with an expression of exasperation on her face. “And what the hell are you doing there, looking like that?” she asked in a blunt voice, before sighing and spotting the blood on Kato’s hands, which was a clear sign of anger, usually, “Are you, by any chance, upset about this retreat?”

Feeling:T h e S a d R e t r e a t
"Truth is simply a conception..."

Coming from the gaping open Senkaimon atop Hibiki's Apartment, Hideki stumbled out in a jumbled mess. He fell to his knees the moment his body was free from within the Senkaimon and the limiter symbol etched its self upon the back of his right hand. The symbol of a snowdrop, symbol of hope, and colored carnelian, a bloody red color. It was an ironic thought, Hideki had reasoned in the garbled mess that was his vision. The 20% cap placed on his reserves of power dwindled the only thing that was keeping him alive to impossibly strenuous levels. The blood was seeping from the hole in his chest like a a slow river. His hands were now clenching the ground in a pool of the crimson liquid as he found out who was here already. He noted many: Elisia, Hibiki, two humans, Tsukiko, Hei, Lee, Kato, and Tadashi. He was only slightly happy he was not the last to show up, but the pain in his chest was terribly annoying to deal with.

Lifting his right leg up so his foot was now place on the ground, Hideki grasped the roof as he pulled himself from his crouched position. Upon spilling out blood as a result, Hideki nearly fell down again, but steadied himself. Panting heavily with a cold sweat on his forehead, Hideki made his way to the stairs. He stopped at the top and grabbed a nearby railing before coughing heavily into his hand, blood rushing from his airways to his hand. Hideki sighed heavily before laughing at his own condition before moving farther down the stairs. He brushed his hands on his clothes as he reached the bottom of them. Looking for somewhere to go, he found the second door on the left to be apt and, even better, found it to be open.

Slipping inside, Hideki switch his body to his gigai-body. This body was completely different from his own. It had loose, wild shoulder length hair and a slightly larger build than his normal one, being a tad bit bulkier. It holds two close loop rings in his ear's lobe and has the clothing stylings of a strange fantasy character, though being in Australlia, it fit quite well. It also left his torso bare for the most part and caused his wound to be visibly seen. It was a nice inch and a half hole in his chest that stops just before his spine. Looking down at it, Hideki sighed yet again, though this one was accompanied by a small amount of blood spilling from his lips. After cleaning the said blood, Hideki made his way out of the apartment he 'borrowed' and looked down at the small lot that was part of the complex.

He noted everybody gathering there and softly jumped over the ledge and rolled with his landing before falling back to the earth as he went to stand due to pain in his chest. Hideki's skin was getting a pasty color to it now, from the loss of blood, and he could not help be simply sigh as he laid upon the ground. He felt worthless like this, and was simply a way he did not wish for any other to see him as. That was, of course, if they even recognized him.

⋆⋆⋆ HAKASE xELISIA
yonbantaixTAICHO

Elisia lifted her head to stare at the newcomer, who had fallen to the ground for one reason or another. To tell the truth, she had no idea whatsoever of who he was and to say the very least, he was utterly unfamiliar to her. However, one thing that she did recognize, was the wound on his chest and the fact that he was most likely suffering from blood loss. She hesitated briefly as she had no idea of who he was but scolded herself for her folly. If he was a human, he would not be able to see her and she’d rather risk the memory wipe and everything afterwards, instead of causing the death of one of her subordinates because of her lack of care. After all, it was relatively safe, since she doubted that either Yuki or whoever else was taking care of it, would let the Sephira come to their hideout. Of course, even if she did heal a Sephira by accident, she doubted that he would be able to take all of them on. Nevertheless, he had not even called out to them for help or anything like that, if he had been a Shinigami.

“Oh, curse it all,” she muttered angrily under her breath, before looking up at Tadashi and pulling an apologetic face as she said, “Sorry, could you look after Junibantai-Taichō for a bit? I just need to go heal somebody.” Knowing that every second that passed, led the unknown man closer to death and that there was absolutely no time to waste, she gently slid Hei from her, placing him on his back on the ground, before standing up and moving next to the man. “Rukki Huang. Gemini. Taurus.” she slid her zanpakuto out, activating her Bankai once more. Making a slit in her skin, she impatiently waited for her blood to seep onto the wound. As her powers had been suppressed by her limiter, the wound was healing at an excruciatingly slow rate and thus, she added to its effect by casting her most powerful Chiyudo spell, whispering, “Chiyudō #99: Zenji.” With both the Kido and her Bankai in play, the wound healed at a faster rate, similar to her usual speed. After that was done, she carefully made a cut in his skin, before using Chiyudō #63: Zōketsu to replace his blood before she healed her own wound up. Feeling slightly light-headed from using her powers and the blood she had to use, she hurriedly steadied herself, before looking sternly down at the man before him. While she wasn’t sure whether he could hear her or not, it was still worth a try. In a firm voice, she said, “Well, you should be alright now, sir, but don’t try to move for a bit. Also, pardon my bluntness, but who are you?”

[ Sorry for the out-of-order post, I might be busy tomorrow, so it’s best if I get it done now. gonk ]

Akane Itsuki, Third Seat of Division Three

Riku Ryuu of the Black Mist Mountains

Akane lifts the self-made cigarillo to his lips. He had just gotten back from his selective missions and now this? He sighs and looks around, "Quite the hole we've fallen in.." Akane exits the Senkaimon and looks around as he exits. He can tell the mass is gathering below and walks over to the edge. He jumps on to the fire escape to make his way down. Akane scans the area, his eyes being closed since he left the Seireitei. He scratches his nose and looks around, walking over near the group. He kneels to Elisia, "Ms. Hakase, am I right? The one who was married? Terribly sorry I missed the wedding, but I had prior engagements; anyways, I don't mean to interrupt, but have you seen the Third Division Captain?"

Akane stands and blows out the cloud of smoke, knowing it irresponsible to blow it in a suffering's face. He felt his little comrade's presence around and smirked. He smiles down to Elisia, waiting for the answer on when his Captain would arrive, and maybe yell at him for not being where he needed to be when the assault took place. If anyone was to ask of his whereabouts, he knew that they couldn't be told, and would have to play it off. That is how Akane usually knocks off answering questions. He would then realize his 'assistant' right on top on him, after she had tackled him.

Suzume Yuuki, 4th Seat - Division Three

Jinkouteki of the Painted Night Sky

Suzume had stumbled out of the Senkaimon. She rebalances herself and resituates her plain haori. Suzume looks around and walks to the edge of the building. She twitches her nose, displeased with not being able to help anyone. Suzume folds her arms over her chest, "I know a lot of Kido, but I can't get my medicinal to work.. I should've been in the Kido Corps, to in the Fourth Squad. Why did Ak-" Suzume looks around and seems to being to freak out. She looks out to where some of the others have gathered. She scans the people over.

Suzume jumps down and lands gracefully. She runs forward and tackles Akane, "Aaaahh, Akane! I didn't see you at first, I thought you might get stuck back there!" She lets Akane back up and looks to Elisia, "Oh!!" Suzume waves her arms a little, "You're the one who got married! Congratulations, hun." Suzume looks to Akane, "What're you doin' Akane?" She listens as he tells her and looks to Elisia, "Oh, right.. I haven't seen him.."

Tadashi Sakamoto

9th Division Lieutenant

Tadashi grimaced at Elisia's thanks for looking after Suzume,"Not a problem...especially considering I couldn't do anything to stop that Sephira from hitting her with that Cero." He still felt a bit guilty that with all his speed, the only thing he could do was save himself. Tadashi gave solemn nods as Elisia reported the casualties. He didn't know the Juichibantai's Lieutenant, but it was obviously a grim situation when the loss of a Lieutenant was only one of the casualties. There was also the fact that they'd lost many regular squad members and probably stood to lose a lot more since they'd left Seireitei unprotected. She then asked him about, well, his role in the battle. Once again, he had taken a back seat despite having his Bankai and opponents lined up for him. Shameful, indeed.

"Me? Apart from the mental stress that's sure to come, I came out of this all too unscaved. As for the healing...it appears the opponent was the one that healed Suzume. I was carrying her away and seeking you out before I realized her condition."

To Tadashi's surprise, Elisia's next statement was for him to look after Hei. He certainly didn't think the Captain would enjoy awakening to see a stranger staring down at him after all he'd been through, but he supposed Elisia couldn't just leave him on the ground unattended. He nodded and took her place. Again, he thought as he looked down at an unconscious Hei, how quickly things could change...

...for the worse.
