Intercity 280 South This is the highway that connects Carter City to its neighbors. The four-lane freeway is 20 feet above the ground, and the only way off of this section is to jump. Be careful.

A slender, golden figure appeared, scanned the area, and vanished, heading west.

And over the highway, a demon flew.
Now which way? Flare sent. And has your Ender told you anything about the robot, and what we'll face once we get there?

A large black cat padded its way in after the demon...though it was on the ground, and not up in the air. It seemed content to ask no questions.

He continued to watch the creatures in front of him. He wondered if they were together. He suspected that they were because they were all going in the same direction. Of course he was going that way too so it didn't mean everything. He would probably head off in a different direction then them after he got off the freeway but until then they knew where to go better then he did.

"Vente vade. Truewind intoned, lifting Owle and himself safely down to the ground. Northwest, Flare, into the West Fields. As for the robot, it is many-legged, like a spider, and fires missiles. It has no immediately apparent way of seeing, but has no troubles aiming.

Ooh, fun, Owle intoned sarcastically, but loped toward the West Field nonetheless.

Truewind slid along through the air behind the huge cat, wishing he had a faster way to travel.

Dregnar stopped and peered down the road. There seemed to be a military blockade down that way. The robots wouldn't be that way, and he didn't want San to get close to some of the humvees that he saw over there. He didn't know how reckless she would try to be. Insteed he began to look in the other directions, hoping that maybe he would get a clue as to where to go.

Missiles...fun, Flare replied, with far more enthusiasm than Owle. I suppose we'd best try to close in on it, close range...
True, do you think it senses heat? I could fix that...and cloak the field in fire.Even as she thought it, her hands began to glow red.
She vanished toward the West Field, paying no heed to Dregnar.

Dregnar wondered if he should follow the other people off where ever they were going. They seemed to have more of a clue then he did. Still they might be as lost as he was, so following them might not be the best idea. He sighed softly, if only he knew how to track robots. That would at least give him something to go off of. As it was he didn't know where to start looking.

Espyn arrived above the intersection which he had yet to determine if it was safe to land on it physically, so, he waited for his companion and hovered in the air with the air current strength still whirring about his ankles and wrists. "What a.. large... street this is..." he poked out of his mouth in fragments. "Well we don't want any other people coming in here.. or any of those machines to leave by this.. maybe we should dispose of it."

Dregnar stared to the north toward where the other group had left. Finally he decided that he should probably go the the north too. Though it probably wouldn't be a good idea to continue to follow that other group. He decided to check out a little more the the east then they did. With a light spring he jumped from the freeway and landed on the ground. Then at a quick pace he began to head north.

Mort quickly appeared next to Espyn, their hands tightly gripped. Mort looked around them, then froze as he picked up a message from Julian. "Did you hear that? It sounded like the Manabu Building. A fight, I think he said. Do we go or do we stay? If we destroy this highway, it eliminates a way for us to use to retreat."

Kit murmered angerly, it felt strange!
