Dude if I hurt this horn in any way, I'm dead.
I play a trombone that is the ONLY one of it's kind left.
It is such an expensive and old horn, and I get get to play it for 4 years.
They only let the best of the best play this trombone.

I don't get what kind of proper band kid would let their horn fall into direpair. Our school had four horns (only horns, mind you, not other instrument types) and five mellos; only one of the horns and two of the mellos are even playable. I'm pretty thankful I had my own horn.

I make sure my trombone has been properly gunked out, cleaned, lubed, and polished on a regular basis. There's a reason my trombone looks brand new but plays like a dream. I take care of it.

I have two clarinets and a trumpet (THANK YOU DAD!) I will always keep them clean. (Inspection and cleaning once a month)

*GASP* I can't imagine not taking care of my alto. I clean it and take it for leak checks, pad checks and everything before each marching season. In fact it's in the shop right now (Darn you bass drum girl). I love my saxy waxy (that's what my mom calls it for some reason...aha)

The people who let their instrument get like that are stupid.
My schools band has instrument inspection once a month.
If your instrument is in ANY type of bad condition, you have to spend a week after school practicing with the BDs
