You gals remember Tamagotchi toys, don'tcha? They were really popular many years ago and lots of schools banned kids from bringing them in. Remember? Huh? Do ya? C'mon, don'tcha remember?
For some reason I bought a new Tamagotchi recently. It's a V5 model, called "Familitchi," which allows you to raise three little creatures at once and increase their family bond. The art on the packaging was so adorable, I just couldn't not buy it.
Familitchi can also connect to The Tama & Earth EXPO flash site, where you can use the password in your toy to play unbelievably cute games and win money to buy new toys and food for your familitchi. (Seriously, just look at that site. HOW CUTE IS THAT??)
At 19 years old, you'd think I'd be grown out of this. Well, I'm not. It was an impulsive feeding of my inner child.
So, anyone else play with these Tamagotchi toys still? Or, have you ever bought something you're way too old to be interested in (e.g. a Barbie or My Little Pony or Lego set)??

I used to have a tamagotchi angel until the battery died and my dad attempted to fix it and took the whole back off...it didn't work after that >.<
I can't think of anything for the other question at the moment xp

Oh man, I remember the old school Tamagotchi's from the mid 90's. They were banned at my primary school, because people kept letting them beep. I remember I had an electronic pet, but it wasn't a brand name Tamagotchi. I'm tempted to buy one of the new versions to keep as a key chain, but I'd also like an old one.
That site is super cute!

I just joined a Tamagotchi guild here on Gaia, and there are only three members... including me! sad
Um, I'm usually not one to advertise, but if any of you girls are still Tamagotchi fans, it would be ever so fun if you would join the Tamagotchi Universe guild~!

I don't even remember where's mine anymore, but damn, I remember when I would never, ever let go that little Rakuraku Dinokun! It was like so goddamn awesome to grow a tyrannosaurus. And then, when it died, it became a vampire. You could turn on the A/C, feed him with vegetables or meat, if you fed him with meat it became a tyrannosaurus, if you fed him with vegetables it became an apatosaurus, the game was really, really fun and I ruled at it, it was the coolest thing in the world. The teachers even asked us to hand them over in class! surprised
Oh, and I remember there was one of these with Footix, the rooster from the France 1998 World Cup.

I remember Tamagotchi's, In grade 6, it was 'you're only cool when you have one'. I had one(before the fad started), and I loved it. However, I killed it with orange pop. D: It was an accident! I swear!

One of my friends had a NanoPet and then grew tired of it, so she relinquished this small creature to me. And I took good care of 'em, until I went somewhere that was inappropriate for providing digital care, to a youngling.
Needless to say, my pet wasn't approving of my neglectful ways and left me, to my own devices.

I still have an original Tamagotchi someplace. It needs a new battery, but I've thought about playing with it again. ^^
