Personality: By all means, Mecriana is as much of a fighter as any life-long trained warrior. Though, where as she believes her cause to be just, she doesn't exactly have the insight to see it through to other individual's points of view. As such, she will gladly argue over anything she feels is worth the effort. Despite such things though, she tries to keep herself relatively friendly to those who wish to show her such gratitude.
Location: Mostly, she will stay near or around Ryuten, though is not restricted to that one area permently.

[~The Tree~]
Mecriana's tree is a good sturdy thing with thick bark and round, erect trunk that nearly seems to be flawless in its upward reach towards the sky. In color, it varries from a deep black towards the base and turns into a more speckled white near the middle and on random parts of the tree. Its branches are wide, thin, and curve in every which direction, however stiff and unbending; it is nothing like a willow tree. This sturdy tree, is perhaps mostly a curious sight to see because of its leaves and the fact they remain red, white, and blue throughout the spring, summer, and winter seasons. During winter they do happen to brown and fall off.
[~The Sire~]
She didn't know much about her father when he decided to up and leave, but Mec does remember him having a dark, spotted coat much like her own. Although perhaps a bit lighter, she's a bit unsure of hue and color.
However, she does remember his personality very vividly and how he acted towards her and in general. It seemed from the moment she had come from her fruit he was nervous and shifty about everything, hardly able to talk with stumbling over his words and always ducking his head down submissively at the possibilty of someone coming near the tree. For a Jala, he was rather broad and she dare say fat now that she can compare what she remembers of him to the other adult Jala's that came near the tree at the time.
One day, he told her they were going to play a game of tag, his idea, and when it was Mecriana's turn to chase him he suddenly bolted through all his gears and tore out of there without a second glance back; Mec had no chance in catching him still being a foal and still figuring out strides and the like. To this day she has chosen to nearly forget about her sire and to simply be indepent of any support from anyone else.
Also, she had decided early on that she would never be a cowardly push-over like he was.
[~The Consequences~]
Due to her being alone, Mecriana's upraising was eventually picked up by a male Zrun by the name of Scabbers. He doesn't know too much about Nequus and Nequus customs, but he does his best to keep her social, happy, healthy, and most importnatly alive. Unfortunatly, having a Zrun as a babysitter ultimately leads to some problems in behavior and of course how to treat others. Mecriana is very out-going, playful, and doesn't quite know when to quit.
Another consequence, would have to be her distrust of the game of a tag. Seemingly harmless, she knows deep down that there's a possibility whoever she's playing with just might end up running off in the process. Then again, games in general have her leery of one's intents.
Allowing herself to let go of control is something that she finds extremely difficult. She wants to be on top, in charge, and most of all she wants to make sure that she never becomes what her sire use to be. This may not always be the best approach to getting to someone's good side, but its a technique she needs to survive. A secruity blanket if you will.

Paintaloosa
What is a paintaloosa? Its a cross between a paint horse (pinto) and an appaloosa, where the horse shows both pattern styles from both parents. Spots within spots in Mecriana's case.
Why the Paintaloosa? As you may or may not know, da Ropin's favorite breeds of horses are mostly the North American breeds: Quarter horses, Morgan, American Paint Horse, Tennessee walker, Rocky Mountain horse, and of course the Appaloosa dipciated as a native american mount in art and literature. My two favorites? The Paint horse and the Appaloosa, and I'm absolutely smitten to see the types of coat patterns they produce when crossed.
In Mecriana's case, why the red, white, and blue feathers? To show my love of American bred horses, and of course the lonestar on her forehead for my love of Texas and its heritage with the horse and the west.

'Who the heck needs formal training to fight and fight well? Geez, buncha panzy-arses, teach yourselves! Anyway, as you may know I'm a loner for the most part, never been in a herd, don't plan on ever being in a herd in the future, and I was raised by a zrun- SHUT UP! >.< *ahem* Feel like pissing me off? Here are a few rules and regulations I follow (or perhaps you should keep in mind) when it comes to me, myself, and that horrible little thing at the back of my mind I call 'Aggressive-argumentitive-pissiness-disorder'. Or AAPD for short.'
If another opinion is presented after my own, politely argue the point until it gets through.
If an opinion is offered before I can make one myself, stop the individual and present my own.
Upon the circumstance the individual wants to keep arguing, fully embrace the chance to debate at any lengths necissary.
Rudeness, snobbiness, and ignorance will beget the same type of argements + attitude.
When threatened verbally, threaten back verbally and with a physical threat.
When threatened physically, beat them to the punch.
And in the case of full-blown attack- enjoy the time spent kicking everyone's a**.
When offered a truce, mercy, 'uncle' or plead for one's life- allow them to get up and leave.
Upon the situation when outnumbered or close to death, pick up my loses, exclaim how great a fight it was, and hual my a** out of there.

Personality
Scabbers is a very down-to-earth, serious critter that takes the raising of his charge almost as seriously as he would a child of his own. He is wary of strangers, especially Nequus, that may potentially harm Mecriana in any way, and is severely protective of her. He isn't quite sure he trusts even Mec, but he does his best to teach her right from wrong.
Family
Scabbers came from a moderately average family, learning what he needed too from his parents and siblings, and then moving off on his own when he was fully an adult. There had been no recorded relationships with female Zrun or children of his own as of yet.

[~Twilight Meetings~] "Today was an awesome day. Scabbers took me all over the place and we visited alot of trees, but I didn't know Zrun's could get tired so easily. He kept wanting to stop and take a break, silly Scabbers. Finally though it had started to get dark and I let him stop for a little bit while I played around. That's gets boring after awhile though, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks so. Scabbies told me to count to fifty and something magical would happen, I don't even know what magic is!
Nevertheless, I wanted to know, and so I counted to fifty; quite well if you ask me. It wasn't till after that Miss Elsie showed up, right out of thin air! Miss Elsie was absolutely awesome! We raced and she told me a story and after that I think I got really sleepy but I don't remember at all.
When I woke up Scabbers said Miss Elsie had gone to bed too, and that I might be able to see her again if I was good. I hope I'm good, I want to see her again, and I hope I can show her just how much faster I've gotten since out last visit. It took some doing, a lot of practice, and Scabbers telling me what to do, but I finally figured out that longer strides means faster running. Which makes me happy, I don't know what I would do without Scabbers to show and tell me things."

[~Jun and a Wibbit~] "Scabbers and I had relocated more towards the two-legged creatures he called humans. I haven't seen one up close yet, but they are very interesting and I think I like them. At the very least they're not scary or anything, so I don't quite understand why Scabbers wanted to stay away from them. Oh well, he's fine without me, and besides I simply had to try and get closer to them. I heard from a stallion back in Shiral that they have things called fruit and vegatables, and apparently they're a lot better to eat than grass. Tastier too. Or maybe it was just tastier? I'm not quite sure, I'll have to bring that up to Scabbers sometime and see what he says about it. Wait a minute... do Zrun even eat fruit?
Anyway, I was playing around in Ryuten when I happened upon a very young Bae foal named Jun. He was a very dull purpley color, but there were stars in his mane and tail and I think that caught my attention the more. That or his wings, I can see right through them! It was amazing, I wish I could do that with mine, but they're made out of feathers and as far as I know you can't see through feaths. Drat, that would have been awesome!
Oooh, and Jun was chasing something he called a 'wibbit'. It took me awhile to realize he meant frog, not wibbit. Scabbers told me what they were, and I suppose that's what it was. Poor green thing, Jun pounced it!
That's about it for our encounter. I think I'd want to see him again, but not until he's old enough to play games with me..."

[~Chapter 1~] "Oh my gosh, Scabbers promised to take me to the beach, and he did! He took me! I was very excited all day, and we finally moved off for our trek when the sun came up. Though that's not to say that I wasn't already awake, fully charged, and ready to play in the sand when we got there. The way he described it, the beach is a very big, pretty place that's padded with sand so when you fall over or flop down on it, it won't hurt one bit! Doesn't that sound like so much fun?
Though, it took much longer than I thought, and Scabbers is such a slow walker. I don't think we got there until twilight'ish, whenever that is, and though I love the sands something else caught my eyes. Turns out it was Aitumn! He's a Jala stallion I met back in Shrial, didn't learn much about him except for his name, but that's fine, he was busy going to and from Shiral so I didn't bug him too much about it. I think. I don't know sometimes, and Scabbers says I can be very overbearing... whatever that means.
I couldn't tell too well, and frankly I don't think he cared, but he seemed a bit distant? Eh, whatever, that's just Aitumn for ya. He had very nice wings though, large and feathery. I want mine to be like that! Scabbers says they will be one day, but I'm not sure if I believe him or not. I mean come on, they're soooo small right now, I can't really use them for anything. Oh well. Anyway, Scabbers was acting extremely weird, and apparently thought Aitumn was my father. Silly Scabbies, I wouldn't go near my father if I ever saw him again. Luckily we got that settled before anything happened...
But still. I don't like thinking about that coward sire of mine, I don't like remembering him. As far as I'm concerned I have no father, nor mother, and I have no desire to ever see or think about them again. I envy Aitumn's son, I suppose. He has both, and he has no reason not to remember them. However, I'll stop talking about it since I'm trying to forget.
*Ahem* I get to play with Tucker in the morning! I'm very excited about that, and I can't wait to have a friend to run around with. *SQUEEEEEE*"

[~Chapter 4~] "Wow! Just wow! I don't know when this began to happen, but today I've noticed just exactly how much I've grown in such little time! It was amazing it was awesome, it was, I mean, the running, not the growing, though I am quite in love with that as well. I finally got to feel the sand under my hooves, I stretched my body, lengthed my new strides, and I felt the wind against my neck and through my mane. What was highly entertaining though, was the look on Scabber's face when he saw me. I think he's known it for quite some time, but I don't think he expected me to know. Which is riduclous. I mean come on, he was about my heigh when I was foal, did he honestly expect me not to realize I was much taller than him now?
Either way, I went off for a moonlit run along the beach to test out my new legs, and damn are they amazing, when I discovered two figures upon the beach. Didn't care who, I just wanted to have my first encounter as a full fledged adult. Suppose I should have paid attention to Scabbers when he tried to teach me manners, but I couldn't even think of such things right now. I look back on it now and I'm glad they weren't strangers. One would have likely been set off his guard, but the other was Aitumn. Lucky me.
Well we talked, he was surprised to see how big I was now, and that's about it. It was good to see him, but I'll definatly have to catch up with him later, for tonight it was getting late and I had to get back to Scabbers."

[~Chapter 5~] "Scabbers had taken practically all night explaining to me that Aitumn might not be as well off as I had told him, for apparently the Zrun is alot better at picking up on these sorts of things than I am. Which is just really ridculous, you'd think me, a Nequus, would be able to pick up on other Nequus' moods better than he would. Oh well, it was time for me to go see him again anyway, I don't have many friends I can keep in touch with, and when its just me and Scabbers I tend to get a bit lonely.
So, I was off to find Aitumn after a night of very little sleep and Scabbers worries echoing in my own mind. If something was bothering Aitumn I wanted to know about it and I wanted to be able to help. But when I saw him he was really... alive, for lack of a better word. He reared, bucked, ran, and spoke as if he was simply high on life like I was, or like I usually was. I'm a bit disappointed in how badly I was able to keep up with him today, but I also blame that on the sand. Darn stuff, I still haven't gotten use to it just yet.
Least to say, Aitumn seems to be doing fine, so I'm not gonna let it bother me too much. Now I'm on my way home to go gloat to Scabbers that he was wrong and I was right. WooHoo, I love days like this!"

[~Guilty~] "So I was flying right? I'm getting better at it, no more crash landings, at least when it comes to smacking my face into the ground. I guess my problem is when I take those few loping steps after landing, I tend to trip or run into trees and other nequus. Hey! Shut up! I'm working on it!
So anyway such a thing happened to me today. I was flying, and when I landed I ran smack dab into this big bloke with a green hide and about as warm as a snow capped mountain. The guy completely ignored me, as if I were nothing! I didn't like that too much, and so I suppose I started throwing my weight around. Funny really, how I said that. Do you get it? You know, the green guy was an Aeri... he was huge! And here I am talking about my own weight, eh-heh. Entertaining. Anyway, we were getting into it, argueing, insulting each other, and we almost came to blows when a second Aeri came up and asked to speak with him alone. Uh, well, nothing like that had ever happened before so it kinda threw me for a loup. I didn't object though, and stepped off to the side.
After they talked about their drama he up and left. He left! Augh. I was looking forward to a good brawl, even if he was bigger than me I'll show that I'll never submit willingly. Well, I guess I can take it as him submitting. It was a bit rude, but my ego was saved. Then as for the second Aeri, I didn't really get a good impression of her. Didn't stick around long enough and didn't care. Brrr. I need to get to Ryuten!"

[~Judgement~] "Let me start off by saying, I'm very angry right now, so angry I'm not even sure how I should explain it. I'll tell you this right now though, I absolutely hate a jala named Sanue. I don't care what anyone else says about him, I hate him, I hate him, I hate him! This doesn't even have to do with the fact he was ugly and a freak, he did the most unspeakable thing he could have ever done to me! He made me submit to end a battle! I've tried avoiding this all the other times I fought someone and it looked like they were going to win, I always ran off and didn't give them the chance to determine victory. Sure, its implied, but its a different story when I have to say it out loud!
What's the big deal? My sire was a spineless coward, and I swore I'd never submit to anyone so long as I live. I'd never allow them to put themselves above me status wise. And this Sanue guy, this bird-brained freak, totally ruined that for me! I swear upon everything possibly swearable upon, I will get my revenge on him and redeem myself. I don't think I'll kill him, that's too drastic, but I would like to hurt him. Somehow. Not necissarily in a fight either.
I'm still pondering on how I can do that, but until something comes to mind I'll be following him around. I'm not letting him out of my sights, I won't give him the chance to make an escape. Ooooooh this boil's my blood! I know I'm somewhat injured from our fight, and I can't exactly challenge him until I'm healed, but perhaps I can hurt him in another way. Somehow. I'll keep thinking on this and I'll update you when I've thought of something worth doing."

[~*CRASH*~] "Sooo I was flying over D'ob trying to find Ryuten when I decided to go in for a landing. I swear the ground has some sort of personal vendeta against me or something, because I can never land without getting myself hurt some how. I suppose this is where I miss having some sort of nequus parent around, I was never taught how to fly or land or anything like that. I basically had to learn by myself through trial and error.
And Dappleass had the nerve to make fun of me for it. A golden dapple Jala mare with an Ichsa horn - I guess that means she's a crossbreed - ragged on my lack of ability and it really pissed me off quite a bit. Long story short, I mistook the signs and went after her with all the intent in Urin to fight her. It would have been absolutely awesome, but as I said I misread the signs. Out of principle I decided to back down- which is completely different from the situation with Sanue! *Ahem* Yeah, after that we had a nice little chat and I walked away. Dapple a** is apparently bitchy for some reason, but I didn't care to ask her why.
If the circumstances were different I'm sure I would have loved to brawl with someone as experianced as her. Maybe if I see her again she'll be in a better mood and I can drag a friendly fight out of her."
