The hippogriff nequus sauntered forward, his feathered wings tucked in tight with irrtation and his stubby tail flicking from side to side without hesitaiton. "Just. Leave. Me. Alone," Sanue muttered between his beak, turning a fierce olive colored eye toward the annoying mare trotting beside him.



As if! Fat chance! Not gonna happen! How many times had she said these things over and over? "Don't count on it, feather-head", the mare snorted haughtily, tossing an unruly mane to the other side of her neck. She was still very sore from her fight with Sanue, but she was determined to get on his nerves until she could get her revenge. He could try to run her off as many times as he wanted. It wasn't happening.

Sanue rolled his eyes and stamped his taloned forelegs into the ground, the claws gripping into the dirt. He'd rue the day he ever met this mare! You'd think she'd get the point after awhile- he didn't want her around! "Suit yourself!" the silver jala hissed, aiming a one-legged, sideways kick from one of his hind hooves in her direction.

Mecriana's ears pinned against the sides of her skull as she felt the wind from his kick, and snaked her head out to bite at his flank before he trotted away. "Jerk!" Ugh, if she wasn't already injured she'd try to fight him again! As it was, her ribs hurt, she had a headache, and she was fairly sure her left hip was going to give her hell for the next couple of days.

He had thought about just wheeling off in the direction of the Hellene territories and letting his new herd mates deal with her, but at the same time he didn't know them very well. If they ended up killing her or badly injuring her, then there would have been no point in his going easy in the first fight and not doing it himself. Gah. If only he could chase her away for good! That's when he felt her teeth sink into his shoulder. Angrily the hippogriff wrenched himself away, before wheeling to face her. Why couldn't she just get the point and leave him alone? How many more times would he need to chase her away?

Mecriana had her ears pinned once more, and neck arched stubbornly. "You can chase me away as many times as you like, I'll just keep coming back", she snorted, stamping a hoof into the ground. Although she did happen to catch some figures in the corner of her eye, and when she looked in that direction a very wide smirk came to her maw. "Hello up there!" He wouldn't dare chase her away with other nequus watching.

The hippogriff froze momentarily, he wasn't a very sociable nequus, and he didn't like big groups of strangers. Especially ones who may side with his 'enemy'. It ruffled the silver jala's feathers to say the least.

Mecriana snorted nonchalantly, shaking her unruly mane in an almost laughing sort of way. "Naw, I fight all the time, and he didn't even hit me with that one", she jeered, sticking her tongue out at Sanue. She didn't mind that they thought Sanue was the bad guy, it was all the better for her. And it would annoy him, hopefully. The better she got under his nerves the better she could hurt him. "My name is Mecriana, and the bird-brained freak over there is Sanue. Its nice to meet you both." She grinned at the little bae, icy blue eyes enjoying their company.

Bird-brained freak. He'd love to tear her throat out for that one, but like before he refrained from doing so. It would be a disrespect toward Aitumn, a friend of Sanue's AND Mecriana's. "Sanue will do just fine though", he muttered, gripping the soil with his front talons. He didn't like being made fun of, and he'd surely love to make Mecriana stop following him around. "I don't suppose you'd want to follow these two around instead? You seem to enjoy their company more", he returned Mecriana's jeer. Clearly irratated.

The paintaloosa mare just grinned and shook her head. "I told you, I'm going to make you regret ever beating me in a fight. Even if I have to follow you to the ends of Casa Tiner to do so." She seemed to be getting under his skin. Good. Once more she returned her attention to the aeri mare and bae. "So, how do you two know each other?" They certainly were amusing to look at next to each other.

Mecriana pricked her ears at the sudden sad face, somewhat surprised, but was relieved when the aeri mare smiled again. Mec didn't like making strangers, especially nice ones, sad. "Yes, fighting is pretty much the only sport I really enjoy. Its fun... most of the time", she scowled at the thought of Sanue winning. She hated him for that. "That's cool Amari, I haven't gotten a chance to meet herd members before. What's it like?" For now, she could ignore Sanue. He would still be there and if he ran she'd chase him.

Thus far he wasn't liking this encounter, Mecriana was too sure of herself, too pompus, and she was getting away with disrespecting him. The feathers along his neck ruffled and rose. At least there was SOME form of decent conversation though as he turned his hawk-like gaze in bae's direction. "Unfortunatly, she does." he spoke evenly, settling himself. This fellow seemed to be alright though, at the very least he wasn't shouting words like 'monster' or 'freak' because of the way Sanue looked. "A few fights huh? It seems like you came out fairly unscathed, so you must be somewhat good at it, correct?" Stallions could talk like stallions to one another at least, Sanue had no patience for mare talk.

Mecriana bobbed her head as she listened along. Just because she hated Sanue, didn't mean she couldn't get along with others. So long as they didn't get into an arguement, that was. "That sounds like a pretty nice herd, but I think I like being by myself. Its much easier to go different places whenever I feel like it, and I don't have to answer to anyone", she spoke thoughtfully. She liked her independance, it was nice, and she really enjoyed it. She did chuckle though at the mention of the bae, it was just amusing considering the size difference. "Really?"

Well, no, she shouldn't, but the hippogriff wasn't going to bellyache about it. She was his problem, and he'd deal with her. "Admitedly fighting and fighting well does take some training. I've had quite a bit of practice, plus-" he paused and raised on of his forelegs, his talon gripping at the air and showing of their claws. "These help as well," he chuckled and placed his talon back down on the ground. He was somewhat curious about Xavier's out burst though, and cocked his head to the side. "What happened?"

Mecriana shifted slightly to adjust the weight she was carrying onto another hoof, relaxing slightly. Although, she did get a twinge from her hip, and tried to ignore it. "Longer than I would have liked admitedly. I was suppose to be meeting my friend Scabbers in Ryuten a few weeks ago, but now I'm preoccuupied with other things." Meaning Sanue and her revenge against the silver jala. Flicking her ears in interest she bobbed her head for the mare to continue. "How is he weird?"

The hippogriff chirped in a pleased manner at how this stallion seemed to admire his talons, indeed Xavier seemed like a good sort to be around. However he wasn't very happy about the tale told about him becoming some sort of slave, and Sanue gave a thoughtful clack of his beaked muzzle. "Some people are just strange, that sounds very odd." Taking another nequus as a slave or pet? What did she think she was, a Katilenuck?

At that Mecriana snorted and rolled her eyes, glaring over her shoulder at Sanue before turning back to Amari. "A mutual friend introduced us awhile back, we just met again recently and he had the nerve to check me out. He's so ugly! It was an insult, so I attacked him." She left out the fact that he had actually won the battle, that bit was still very raw for her. "Now I'm just trying to get revenge. Somehow." As for Xavier she glanced over her shoulder once more to get a better look at the little bae stallion. "He's afraid of mares?" That sounded pathetic, but Mec kept that bit to herself.

Yeesh, sounded like it. Though at least the bae had gotten over it, somewhat it seemed, since he was fine talking about it so openly. That was refreshing to hear after all the grudge holding nequus he ran into over the years. Sanue flexed his talon on instinct when Xavier spoke of it again, amused that someone else found it as useful as him and Ignatius had. "They are great weapons, but they're also very useful tools." He glanced down momentarily until he found a fairly sized rock, and grasped it within his talon; picking it up as he did so. "I don't need to use my muzzle to pick things up," he explained. "Its very helpful while flying."

Mecriana merely shrugged her wings. "Fighting is my way of life, and nothing is going to change that." She'd never be like her spineless coward of a sire, never, never, never! Flicking her tail and setting her head up high with pride the mare listened further. "Yeah, I suppose so." She glanced over her shoulder once more before scooting closer to Amari and whispering slightly. "Do you want to help me plan something? I'm haven't quite figured anything out yet." Amari seemed to be on her side of things, so she thought she could trust her. They'd have to go somewhere where Sanue couldn't hear though.

"They're pretty awesome, and ripping and gripping are their specialties", he nodded. Xavier, he decided, was quite an interesting fellow to talk to. And not a bad sort at all. For the moment, he was ignoring the mares, maybe he'd even be rid of Mecriana if she decided to stick with Amari after their conversation.
