Basic Corrupt Hylonome - casting magic for Taaffeite 50/50 HP Med Kits: 3/3 Basic Spell Level 2/3
At the suggestion from Psilomelane the young woman turned to glance at the lieutenant, an unknown comrade, but a comrade nonetheless before pausing for a moment. She knew the words that she needed to use, had used them once or twice before, but for a brief second the phrase wouldn't come to mind. Shaking off the fog cloud that had descended over her she gave a sharp glance to a familiar figure striding over to the med bay area and taking up a guarded stance. Her general was here. But even as she noted his presence did she also note he seemed to be wounded as well.
But first things first. Her gaze locked with Psilomelane and she looked puzzled for a moment. "Not sure if it'll work, but if it doesn't, he can help us out," and here she pointed to Prehnite's back, which was to them currently. "Ask him..."
Shifting her position a little Hylonome concentrated, really concentrated to fight through the fog that was trying to settle in, like an insidious thing, for the words that needed to be spoken ... and they came like a lightning bolt from the blue, "Hylonome's Grace," was enunciated clearly and she held her palms together and watched as the flower that was her sphere appeared before her.
But getting up was not an option and Hylonome had never been in the position where someone might have to be a middle person for the flower to get to the right person. Closing her eyes Hylonome winced before gesturing to Taaffeite. "I don't know if this'll help but it might take the edge off things."
Reaching over to the fallen lieutenant caused her to jar her own injury before she managed to get the bloom over to whom she wanted it to go to, "you have to eat this for the effect to work."

Sailor Scout Attack: Hylonome's Grace Hylonome calls her attack and brings her palms together. In her hands a single magical Edelweiss flower blooms. She will then pass the flower to an ally. Once in possession of an ally the flower lingers for twenty seconds. In this time if the ally chooses to they can eat the bloom. Eating the bloom will ease very minor ailments. If not eaten the bloom disappears.
Defining ailment for basic attack: things that cause minor discomfort like stomachaches and headaches, as well as minor muscle pain.
I guess think of it like a mild analgesic .. to kinda numb the pain?

Lieutenant Sodalite - Following orders to leave. Stopped briefly by youma critters but escapes unscathed. 50/50 HP
Med Kits 3/3
Lying low had been a good idea. The sorting out of the story that he had managed to see would have to wait for another day. The order had been given to leave the area and even if it wasn't Prehnite who had commanded him to do so, the order came from someone much higher than him on the totem pole. So he would obey. Edging closer to the walls of the room that would take him furthest away from the youmafied general did Sodalite briefly catch sight of Prehnite standing guard near the medical area and the young man sighed before continuing onwards towards the lift that would take him back to the staging area.
While it would have been nice to say that he got away without being noticed, some of the youma that had swarmed into the room tried to take interest in him but Sodalite discouraged them by bringing forth his little plastic mace and gently bopping a few of them on their heads. It wasn't probably hard enough to do any real damage but it gave the man time to dart out of their range.
All to soon he found himself nearing the lift and hefted his 'weapon' before taking up a solid guarded position. He could help by holding things back, but only if it was needed. If not he'd be on the first ride up.

Sodalite's roll (as he's heading to the elevators to get out of here
He did not like when people, even former people that had been frozen in time for seemingly hundreds of years, mutated. He did not like when they lost their prior form and when they crossed the threshold from what they were into demons. He felt the goosebumps along his arms as he watched from a short distance as what was the frozen General Galvorn became a being with an impossibly long neck and as many arms as a spider may have bragged about having.
Ransomite swallowed around a lump in his throat. He felt uncomfortable and sick.
He remembered when he saw that senshi laying on the ground, her body changing before his eyes.
"It was enemies they turned into youma. They're the ones threatening humanity. Sometimes that means we gotta turn to extreme measures, I guess."
Was General Galvorn an enemy? It was hard to believe otherwise with the way he kept swinging at them and throwing weaponry at some of them. The General-Sovereign was trying to defend him, though, and the youma were talking him down or were trying to, in any case. He recognized the one from his prior venture into the Scar, a lamp salesman who couldn't have been much smarmier if he tried.
The defense of the former general would speak to him not being an enemy. The demons' ready acceptance of him likely spoke to his transformation moreso than his being before his soul had been altered.
Why did they even alter their own?
Was the system destined to consume everyone?
O Lord, You are my defender and protector. You are my God; in you--
Ransomite was yanked out of his thoughts and prayers by hearing Fulgurite's voice next to him. Once again, he found himself grasping for phonemes, desperately trying to piece together bits of mouth sounds to find a proper response. Fulgurite was an eternal. He likely expected better behaviour. "Yes." Yes? What was he saying yes to? "Or perhaps no. It sounds like we are expected to leave now."
Eternal Fulgurite heading to the lift HP: 100/100 Action: (7 + 0 (leadership) = 7)
Was Ransomite alrght? Fulgurite spared him a half-glance of somewhat masked concern before burying it back under his generalized malaise. "Sounds like. I'm also being told to make use of this." He reached under his collar, pulling out the pendant which buzzed with energy asking to be released. It was likely intended to ease escape, but if they were just heading to the elevator anyway...
"Guess you are too. Don't you have one? You were here when we took out that giant youma and people tried to become a starseeded youma snack."
That had been where he had met Ransomite, at least. Not sure if that was where he met their mutual ex-general, now adorable moon knight, but that wasn't relevant-- "Keep your hand on it, just in case they end up needed. I know they're intended for senshi, but you're a lieutenant. Close enough to being an attractive youma snack." They weren't as likely to attempt going for Ransomite's starseed, but he knew there was a reason lieutenants were discouraged from the Rift as much as every other senshi was.
Speaking of senshi.
As he led Ransomite toward the lift, he kept his eyes out for Cryolite. "If you see a blond that might as well be wearing blackened swiss cheese, let me know."
He had thought Albite was pretty naked. He'd say Albite just gathered similarly naked types, but there he was--
General Aquamarine Taking the damage for Jet, then attacking Galvorn. HP: 81/100 (he only loses 19 instead of 20 because of his article of resilience)
Few were happy.
Naturally, there were those who were anxious to leave, those who, despite volunteering for this mission and thus accepting whatever dangers the Rift threw at them, would whine and complain as if the choice had not been theirs. No doubt they were relieved. No doubt they approached the lift with a modicum of satisfaction.
But there was an air of discontent among others that Aquamarine did not miss, even if, with his focus on Jet and Gavlorn, he could not pinpoint it to specific individuals. Mumbling, grumbling, recalcitrance, disrespect — all things Aquamarine was capable of engaging in himself, and had on numerous occasions, but would not accept directed toward Jet. Not with the time and devotion Jet put into this shitty organization. Not with the blood he shed for them, and the sleep he lost, and the care he showed to all these ungrateful fools.
They were fortunate that the majority of Aquamarine’s attention remained elsewhere, that their muttered grievances were little more than background noise to more pressing matters.
Galvorn swung at Jet.
Aquamarine could hold himself back no longer. He shoved Jet aside, and though he managed to save Jet from further injury, his scramble to do so made him sloppy, his parry ineffectual. He took a blow to the ribs which nearly knocked him off his feet.
He stumbled. Somehow, he kept himself upright. A ragged gasp tore from his throat, lungs briefly devoid of air. Pain lanced through him, hot and piercing. The dark blue of his jacket acquired a spreading red ********>,” Aquamarine seethed.
Galvorn turned on one of Jet’s senshi (Niter). Whether the senshi lived or died made no difference to Aquamarine; Jet had plenty of them.
Instinct sent him forward anyway. With Galvorn temporarily deprived of his various weaponry, Aquamarine retaliated, all thrusting rapier and plunging dagger — not his own, but the strange, ornate dagger with the indiscernible markings.
Guinex
Playing knight in shining armor to Jet's damsel in distress
She hadn't moved as far as she thought before that weapon had injured her and it was a good thing to as the senshi were ready and willing to help her out. The magic flower given to her was taken, though she wished the senshi who had given it to her could eat it herself. She didn't however know how that sort of thing went so she expected.
"Thank you both."
She at the flower and felt the effects kick in moments later, the pain ebbing away some. She still had a gash in her side, but at least it hurt less.
She tensed when something scaly got to close to her and tense up before hearing Fafnir's voice and relaxing some. She was glad to be getting out of here and made no objections to be carried out, though she noted.
Jet bristled when Aquamarine grabbed hold of him to drag him back, and then stared dumbfounded at him for a moment longer before his brows furrowed with frustration.
He hadn’t meant himself. He planned on staying there until the end. Until every last Senshi and Agent and Youma escaped up the elevator. Jet knew he wasn’t in the best shape, but they had their medkits and it would just take a little bit of time to get patched up.
Despite the assumptions flying around, Jet wasn’t abandoning anything. Regrouping and healing up and coming up with a better strategy to deal with the confused once-General was more important than agents getting too trigger happy.
He knew Faustite suggested dusting the General, but Faustite also thought it was normal for him to use himself as a kitchen appliance. The lack of respect and understanding for youma was becoming more and more apparent.
But Galvorn was still in his rage, and Jet turned his gaze to the youma, prepared to try and block another swing of his weapon --
“Aqua--!”
Instead of taking the attack as he had been planning, Aquamarine had clearly finally had enough. Jet was still trying to catch his balance as Aquamarine was hit instead. Not only that, but Galvorn was now going after Niter.
Enraged, Jet’s glaive was called back to his hand, already mid-swing as he swept low to take out Galvorn’s leg if he could. He was already pretty beat up, but even a nick on Galvorn’s ankle would work. Anything to slow him down and let the others evacuate.
“This is not some Knight trick! We’re fighting the Knights and Senshi that are trying to take over the Earth! But you’re right -- you have been fooled. By your own mind, General!” he growled.

Eternal Cymophane Trying to rally Team Leopard on his way to the lift. Protecting Niter. Due to the Rugose Pendant, Cymophane now looks like an ugly, bipedal, undead black panther. HP: 100
As himself, Cymophane would have bounced his way to the lift, all bright, chipper smiles and enthusiasm. With his youma appearance in full effect, his bouncing looked a bit more like stalking, his smile looked grotesque, and his enthusiasm, while still apparent, seemed a bit more predatory.
“Team Leopard, you heard the boss man, let’s get going!” he called, voice uncharacteristically low and growly.
Galvorn didn’t show any immediate sign of slowing down, despite the attempts being made by those defending the evacuees. Jet’s plan to have Galvorn temporarily disarmed seemed to have worked, but that didn’t stop Galvorn from going after the Senshi responsible for the loss.
Cymophane darted forward and put himself near enough to Niter to give him some cover, throwing his own magic into Galvorn’s path.
“Come on,” he encouraged Niter toward the lift. “I’ve got your back. Oh, it’s Cymo, in case you can’t tell. I know I look kinda gross right now. Use that pendant and you, too, can experience the wonders of temporary youmification!”
As per usual, Cymophane probably seemed more excited than the situation warranted.

Sailor Scout Attack:Leopard’s Strike Three long, black claws of energy grow between Cymophane’s fingers. Though he does not have to make contact with an enemy to cause damage, a swipe directed at them will result in torn clothing and the sensation of lacerations to skin. The sensation of pain will last for 30 seconds and has a range of 8 feet. At player discretion, the character can take lasting damage such as mild injuries that are deep enough to scar if desired, but not so much as to be immediately life threatening. The magic can be used three times.
Super Taenite Due to the Rugose Pendant, Taenite is a handsome (in his opinion) bipedal rock/lava monster with flowing lava hair. HP: 75/70 Lift roll: 10
Taenite could see the Senshi (Niter) with his cute little tune, focusing on Galvorn -- when suddenly the Youma’s weapons were gone.
“Well s**t, should have led with that!” he whistled as he held out his pendant at Cymophane's behest to morph into some kind of… attractive lava and rock monster, in his opinion. He didn’t have a mirror, but the blackened rocks now forming his body, glowing with heat behind it, suited him well in showing off his human earned muscles. His white hair now glowed yellow and red, and seemed more liquid than actual hair.
Luckily since it was just an illusion of a youma, he didn’t melt through the floor or anything crazy like that, but he clomped his way over to the elevator where Cymophane was trying to protect Niter, and gave the leopard Senshi a rocky thumbs up.
“Gonna guess those weapons are going to appear again at some point,” he commented in a low, gravely voice. In which case he was ready to use his rocky body to shield anyone from sharp edges.

Eternal Kamacite Kamacite used his Rugose Pendant. He is now a small, white, nine-tailed fox with red markings. HP: 100
With this being the first time Kamacite used his pendant, he wasn’t sure what to expect. Maybe something like Cymophane, or Albite. Instead, everything was just bigger.
Oh.
No, that was because he was smaller.
He stared at the ground, so much closer than he remembered, looked at his little paws and--
Roselite was ordering him and the other youma nearby. He felt the fur on the back on his neck bristle where as a human he might have turned pink from being flustered.
“Rosie,” he squeaked and tested out walking on four small legs. “Close your eyes, I’m going to try and give everyone some cover. Can you ready the turrets again, just in case?"
Oh, he didn't like his voice all squeaky like this...
He knew he had orders not to attack, but he couldn’t just do nothing. He wasn’t sure how to use his magic as a youma, but he drew in a deep breath and concentrated really hard and--
All of the lights in the chamber began to dim, absorbed into a ball of light in front of him.
He didn’t know how long the others would need to get out, but he held onto the orb for as long as he could and, maybe out of his own desire not to attack, the orb eventually dissipated and everything in the room went back to its normal brightness.
Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Solar Minimum - Acquired Enhancement All light, natural and artificial, is disrupted and temporarily absorbed into a single orb over five seconds until complete darkness. Devices with an electrical or magnetized charge (street lights, phones, cameras, etc) in the immediate area are also disrupted and the energy absorbed into the orb. Upon releasing the built up energy at an opponent, the orb explodes in a flash of light and electrical discharge that could cause heat and/or electrical burns (can be just the sensation or actual/lasting damage up to player discretion) in addition to temporary blindness and disorientation, which can last upwards of thirty seconds. Light and electrical in the area is immediately restored upon the orb exploding. It does not have to make contact with something to explode. It can be dispelled by Kamacite without exploding if necessary. Has an effect radius of 10 feet (although the flash can be seen as one would see any flash), and can be used twice.

Captain Seraphinite Used he Rugose Pendant--a black-green figure reminiscent of this (no weaponry). Attacking Galvorn. 4 + 1 = 5 HP: 75 / 75
Personally? He wanted to fight. Galvorn had lost it. Restraining him came to mind, if they could wear him down enough. Or just dusting him, and getting rid of the nuisance of the once-General. Maybe someday they'd find him again in the Rift and he'd be vaguely rational again after he had time to think.
Hearing Jet call for a retreat made Seraphinite object as it was--maybe not vocally, not with others around. His growing ire was torn between Jet's decision for them to leave, the people being blatant in their disrespect for him, and... Jet's continued insistence to put himself into harm's way.
Seraphinite glanced over to the members of his team, mainly Rigel and Spectrolite. They were already on the move--his unease grew seeing fresh splatterings of blood on Spectrolite, but they had medkits and could address that on the elevator. Though--he did a double-take. Was that... a... cat with tentacles... carrying Spectrolite..?
Ah. The pendent. Rigel. Oh that was a bad combination.
The complaints--yet more--to Jet for that were going to wait till later. Seraphinite pulled out the Rugose Pendent from the subspace he'd stored it in. Yeah, senshi had priority on them. But he was feeling petty and ******** it. If Galvorn was so against the agents, claiming they were knights, then he had no problem taking the shape of a youma and still punching him in the face.
Or. Whatever he could reach. Creepy snake-thing.
Seraphinite snarled, draining the energy from the pendent and feeling its strange magic wash over him. His body grew taller even still, tan skin darkening into pitch. Veins of green traced geometric patterns, highlighted black wing-like structures from the front of his shoulders that hung like ends of a scarf. More bits of skin and whatever else materials were pulled in formed more folds and flaps reminiscent of clothing. It felt weird. But he didn't feel anything extra empowering him, just his own strength he'd had before. Intrigued, he darted forward, moving up alongside Aquamarine to slam his fist into Galvorn's twisted body.
A faceless head slightly turned to Jet and snarled, "I doubt he's going to listen to anything you say at this point."

When life gave you lemons, grab some twisted tea and mix it with some lemonade. Annoyed as he was by this whole endeavor at this point--the addled mind of the General didn't seem keen on returning any time soon, and now he couldn't play with the frozen time magic--he still lit up when Jet offered him that lovely, lovely pendent.
"Oh, with pleasure," he chirped, snatching up the offered item. He knew what this was. He knew what it could do. Jet wanted them to leave? Sure, he'd do that. At least he got to play with something fun now.
Of course, he was fascinated to see more of the youma arriving--oh and one sassed Galvorn, he liked that one. He wasn't so happy to realize some were coming after some of the agents... like Spectrolite. "Really?" Him? He'd understand. He was a senshi, after all. Rolling his eyes, Rigel pulled the energy from the pendent, grinning wide as its magic took over.
The average sized housecat might not have been terribly intimidating, but it's multitude of bright blue eyes separated it quite clearly from the rest. As did the black tentacles that unraveled from his mouth that suddenly could open a bit too large. Two swirled around Spectrolite, shoving away the youma that was taking a swing at her. Picking her up almost bridal style between the two tentacles, Rigel merrily pranced off back towards the elevator, ignoring her squawks of complaints.
He'd need to thank Jet for this, later!

Lieutenant Spectrolite Fail Dodge + Heading to the elevator2 fail & 6 leaving HP: 35 / 50
Yeah. She really hated the Rift. Hearing Jet call a retreat relieved her, and she was only too happy to oblige. Her leg was killing her, and the arrival of more youma just made her skin crawl.
Between all the movement and chaos of people trying to leave to the elevator, Galvorn still attacking, and now more youma attacking them, Spectrolite missed a lot of what was going on.
She screamed, throwing up her arms as something with too many spines and teeth lashed out at her with long claws. Six slender slices slid down her forearm, and she stumbled back, trying to kick out at the thing before it could hit her again. A black tentacle though--uh, what?--curled around her, while a second smacked the spiky thing across the chest. She heard it grunt as it fell back, and the second tentacle joined the first in... picking her... up?
Uh. What?
Alarmed, she stared down at the... black.... cat.... with way too many green eyes as it happily trotted off towards the elevator with her carried above it. "I-... oh my god. Rigel? Is that you?" She realized the Super Senshi was nowhere to be found, and considering this... friendly cat just suddenly appeared... "I... I am so confused. I think that thing poisoned me and this is a fever dream."
The familiar laughter from the youma feline below at least somewhat confirmed it wasn't, but really felt like it should be.

Two youma grafts would probably be pushing it as far as 'not turning herself part-youma' went, anyway, and did youma even have internal organs? Faustite definitely didn't, but was he an outlier in the first place? Questions, questions.
So! Surviving! Order of the day! She didn't have one of those funky pendants that turned you into a youma, no -- maybe she could request one after this? -- but she did have legs long enough to give her long strides, so that was something, and probably as a Captain she wasn't too appealing of a snack?? Captain Roselite Staying to make sure everyone else gets out. HP: 75
The little nine-tailed fox youma spoke to him!
Oh, the little nine-tailed fox youma was Kamacite. Well, that was embarrassing. Roselite blushed for having made the mistake, but also smiled, because Kamacite looked cute. Most youma were either weird or terrifying, or somewhere in between. It wasn’t often that Roselite saw one he could imagine as some sort of magical pet.
He nodded and closed his eyes as directed, trusting Kamacite to protect him while he was vulnerable. Roselite knew what Kamacite’s magic was capable of, even if he hadn’t had many opportunities to experience it for himself.
He wasn’t any less terrified, didn’t think any better of himself, couldn’t remember what made him think he could be of help, but that didn’t change the fact that Roselite desperately wanted to offer whatever assistance he could. He would have followed orders and left, and been glad of it, but there were others who remained, who might need back up until they, too, made their escape.
So Roselite stayed.
Maybe, with less people crowding the area, they might be able to talk General Galvorn out of his confusion.
Maybe it was all futile.
Whatever the case, Roselite couldn’t bring himself to go until he knew everyone else was safe and accounted for.
