Lieutenant Sodalite - Investigating one of the "free" P symbols around the room (Roll 5 + 1 bonus (recon) = 6 )
50 HP

Sodalite had hung back for a few minutes as the others spread out into the new area before realizing he had a duty to report one of the last things he had witnessed while in their previous location. The fact was that he had a duty to report the vision, didn't he? But this new locale offered up many similar markings that he might be able to use to paint more of a picture to go with the vision he had seen before. Maybe with some context behind it he'd be able to piece together more of a complete answer for the general in charge of this mission.

With the patches of monochromatic areas Sodalite recalled the vision of the slight woman that he'd witnessed earlier. Almost as drawn to the patches did Sodalite move closer. Slowly, with one hand clenched around the ring of his weapon did Sodalite make up his mind to close the distance between himself one of the seven symbols, yes he had counted, in order to peer more closely at the one that had drawn his attention to it the most. Crossing his fingers figuratively behind his back and hoping that he wasn't making a colossal mistake did Sodalite reach out to lightly brush his fingers over the symbol before drawing back in case something happened.

Captain Jadarite
75/75
Investigating Galvorn

Nobody had died when they were investigating that wind-filled room, which had been Jadarite's primary goal. Nobody had taken their starseeds out of their chests, either, so they'd held onto at least a modicum of logic even if they'd given into other impulses.

It made Jadarite feel strangely proud as they reconvened with the others in the final chamber. Proud of them, to some extent, but also proud of herself for keeping them in line.

The others fanned out easily on Jet's orders as they went to investigate the room. There were already people huddling around the important looking documents and the obvious sources of information. Jadarite glanced in that direction, but ultimately found herself stepping towards the corpse of General Galvorn.

She didn't get too close, but she wanted a better look at him. She'd glimpsed that his life signs were critical, and she'd seen enough of magic at this point that she didn't want the group surprised with an undead situation.

Lt. Andesine
Investigating the figure of a man. Touching the Pluto symbol. (5 + 1 (recon) = 6)

HP: 50/50.

That everything around here needed investigation couldn’t have been clearer. After what Teams Monarch and Question Mark had gone through in their previous area within the facility, considering the involvement of the White Moon’s knights and their various magics, Andesine wasn’t ready to trust anything that she saw. Not until she’d or someone else with a trustworthy perspective had taken a closer look at it and determined what any of this thought it was.

One of the few things she felt fairly sure about trusting, though: the monochrome splotches and the Pluto symbols surrounding them probably had important information. That had defined how everything had played out in the earlier investigation. Whatever symbol Lieutenant Borax had touched, it had injured him. The Uranus symbols’ effects all somehow related to gravity or the wind, such as turning the one corridor into the worst tilting house thrill-ride known to man. And the Pluto symbols made everything go black-and-white, then replayed memories of some kind of importance. If their previous experiences held true now, then the Pluto Knights’ magic would give out information but not violently, directly lash out at anyone.

Probably the most important of the monochrome splotches—or so Andesine had decided based on the presence of an actual person within its borders—was the one with the figure of a man in it. Quickly, quietly, Andesine nodded to Captain Leifite, then gestured at said figure to signal what she intended to investigate. With her team’s captain thusly alerted, she made a beeline for the splotch, and touched the glowing Pluto symbol.

General Faustite

"Yet," Faustite retorted to Tama.

They'd all made it down to the lowermost floor, and the attending officers followed orders well enough. Likely helped that Jet echoed his sentiments to the rest of his team. Everyone had gotten to work, and as much as Faustite wanted to lay face-down on the floor and nap for fifteen hours, he knew he should join them.

Walking felt like a monumental task after charging the building to its current level, though he admitted little of that to anyone. It had always seemed better to keep that to himself, lest the distraction of how he was doing impair any judgment calls during the investigation. Faustite tried to keep his panting to a minimum as he strode across the room, headed for the figure at the center of this mess. Galvorn would certainly be someone to learn from, if his youma could be trusted that he was still alive.

From the back, it looked like the youma was dead wrong. No one survived that kind of blunt force trauma. It had to be true, though —

Faustite joined Jadarite and spoke in a breathless murmur. "Met his personal youma. Insisted that Galvorn was 'up in his office'. Hard to believe that's what counts for 'alive', but a bond doesn't lie."

Super Sailor Niter

Niter sighed at the sound of Jet's orders. He wasn't planning on ignoring them, and he didn't think they were bad orders, but Niter had already been through a topsy-turvy hallway, a youma death, and multiple teammates jeopardizing their own lives by trying to throw themselves off a ledge and into some strange vertical hallway of suicide height. He'd already messed with the tech. He'd already witnessed someone getting exploded by one of those symbols that were further in the area. Niter would have vastly preferred if Jet's next order was to go home.

Instead, it was to go look at stuff. Niter didn't want to go look at stuff — stuff liked to explode, or ruin their days somehow. With a resigned sigh, Niter stepped off the elevator and into the room proper. Of all the offerings in the area — and there were quite a few — the one that caught his eye was the writing on the floor. It reminded him of the messages he'd seen on the tubules when they first entered the building.

There were a few others gathering around it — an Eternal senshi in sunset colors, a blonde Captain, and a super dramatic-looking Super — so Niter was hesitant to approach too closely. He stayed at conversational distance to them as he crouched and touched the information on the floor.

Super Sailor Psilomelane

Psilomelane didn't know what to think about what they'd learned so far. She knew they had been sent to learn what happened to the youma that kept disappearing in the Rift, though she understood very little about the Rift itself. The General in charge had also mentioned learning the purpose of the building, which had something to do with storing and shipping weapons, by the looks of it. But the two teams had run into quite a lot of trouble on their way to learn what they could, and they'd encountered nothing about the youma.

They had made some decent discoveries, Psilomelane thought. However, it was nowhere near enough for her to fully understand what was going on. That hadn't seemed to matter; she had thought that perhaps the General in charge had gotten impatient, but a look at him had informed her otherwise.

She thought it sensible that they had been called back. She just wish they had more time to explore.

With the order to fan out, Psilomelane spared a nod to her teammates. She started for what looked like a small, personal medical center and joined a senshi there that Psilomelane hadn't recognized. "Hello," she greeted Hylonome. "I'm Psilomelane. I thought you could use some company over here." She thought Hylonome had the right idea for procuring a scalpel, but she herself wouldn't be much good with one. Instead, she went poking into the cabinetry for other handy supplies.

Tama, Witherite, Sodalite and Andesine would find that the scattered Pluto symbols were each parts of a whole. That is to say, they were fragments taken out of order and reframed to tell only a part of a story. With each one touched, more pieces of that story were revealed. Each fragment of the past was visible to everyone in the area.

Tama touched a symbol that engulfed much of the area in grey. In it, he saw a host of knights and Negaverse agents clashing with one another in a fit of battle, largely gathered near the elevator. Several had fallen, their bodies lying lifeless on the ground. Others were being dragged toward the medical bay situated near the edge of the room. As the fight wore on, Knight summons began to fill the room and turn the tide. More and more agents fell, until only a handful remained in opposition. The Pluto knights had been most troublesome, slowing or stopping agents entirely and leaving them vulnerable to their brethren.

Tama may recognize the Jupiter and Cosmos Knights that led part of the opposition. The Jupiter one was quite loud, throwing his weight around as he summoned merciless storms that swept away those who stood before him. He was vanguard to the petite Cosmos Knight whose channeled magic burned any that approached her.

She had been silent for an age. Then she looked straight at Galvorn and found her voice. "Arnaud, please, give up. You have to give up." The monochrome dissolved thereafter.

Witherite discovered a scene with only a few knights facing Galvorn as he stood near his workbench. The stocky, well-built Uranus knight kept her staff balanced against her shoulder as she addressed Galvorn.

"It's just us now. Time to find your sense, Arnaud. Pull your head out of your a** and we can all go home together. Don't let our friends — your friends — die in vain."

The Cosmos Knight near her nodded, but added nothing more. She kept her gaze trained on the blank glass floor.

"She's right." The Jupiter Knight stepped forward. "Gale and Caz are holding out outside this godforsaken hole. Who knows how long they'll be able to stand up to all your reinforcements. Jesse took a squad with him just outside the forges. We've only got a fraction of our squads left, and you're not doing any better. Give up on all this s**t before it kills anyone else, Arnaud. You
know you can leave it behind. Don't you remember what we swore together?

Sodalite saw Galvorn poring over his workbench with another, smaller General standing at his side. The second one wore a form-fitting garb that belied his willowy appearance.

"So, this place is like a hideout for you, right? Looks neat. Gotta admit, it's got me wondering how many secrets you got stashed away up here."

"There are no secrets, Chelonium." Galvorn spared him a glance. "There's nothing I would hide from you."

"That so?" The smaller of the two hoisted himself up to sit on the workbench. "Funny you should say that. Hilarious that you should say that
now."

"Why now?"

"Oh, I don't want to disturb you from your oh-so-important work, but it looks like the knights have breached your facility again. Broke in without a trace of breaking in, just like I said before. Almost like someone let them in. Maybe someone that knew the leaders of their insurgence personally. Say, might be the same someone who got a letter from them recently. With an Earth sigil carved into the wax. Sound familiar?"

"Chel —"

The smaller General grinned, and summoned an ornate dagger to hand. "If you want to prove it isn't you, then show us your loyalty." He set the knife on the workbench.

Andesine witnessed a few knights facing the General that remained in the room. It was Galvorn that spoke to them.

"I forgive you for misunderstanding my aims. You aren't the first to think I would falter in my service to the Negaverse. I must make something indisputably clear to you:

"There is no more Arnaud. He died as the Earth Knight you knew. You now stand in General Galvorn's office, and I am he. I am your
enemy. And you — all of you, and all the ones you left behind to get here — will be exterminated for your trespass." He summoned a keen voulge to hand and pounded the butt of his weapon against the floor.

"Your codenames, as well as the ones who bear them, mean nothing to me now. If they stand against the Negaverse, they will die. As will you. Ready yourselves."

Taaffeite would find that the cabinets were easily passed, as they were only set up in a rough circle to cordon off the medical bay. Beyond it was the rest of the circular office area, which was dotted with splotches of monochrome where knight magic had been frozen in time.

Hylonome and Psilomelane would find a trove of useful medical supplies behind the glass doors of the cabinets. There was gauze of all sizes, suture thread, suture needles of all types, some kind of glue, iodine swabs, alcohol wipes and other disinfectants and astringents, gloves, syringes, needles, surgical tape, and other devices that looked unfamiliar to modern-day medical professions. One of those devices looked similar to an otoscope, yet when used, it produced a broad, fan-like beam that rotated as its button was held. Another one looked similar to a pen and produced a narrow beam the size of a pin head.

Hylonome was able to arm herself with a scalpel, though they had plenty more materials if they needed them.

Many of the diagrams looked prototypical to the weapons and traps they knew to have come from the factory, almost as if these were first drafts that Galvorn had kept for posterity. Some of them had wildly ambitious plans, and perhaps that was why these drawings were favored — one proposed the idea of using a ring or other piece of jewelry as a subspace conduit to call the weapon to hand, and another suggested an explosive chaos trap whose trigger was linked to a Negaverse officer's vitals. A third, which had never made it to production, was a kind of decloaking device that was postulated to find henshin pens.

As Taenite, Cymophane and Benitoite examined the diagrams more closely, they would find that each had handwriting that matched across all of the papers. The henshin pens note was circled, and in the corner was scribbled dedicate R&D to this. On the image of a ring, the same person had written transmute weapon into ring and vice versa?.

Perhaps most notable was that the image of the weapon and ring had a piece of string connecting that to the drawing of a youma in the corner of the board. At the edge of the drawing, another note was written: what can we learn from them? We need to know how they do it.

As Jet and Aquamarine looked over the dagger together, they would find that the symbols inlaying the blade did not match any of the planetary symbols they had experienced on their respective investigations. They did not look like English, nor like any language encountered on Earth — if they were a language and not someone's fanciful designs, then it was not a language with which anyone living was familiar (with the exception of Galvorn, one may suppose, if one also supposes that he is still alive).

It felt nearly weightless when hefted, and the blade sung as if cutting the air itself. Based on the tools nearby, Galvorn must have been modifying it before he encountered a terrible fate.

Kamacite, Roselite, Fafnir and Niter looked at the information that populated across the floor, they would find the death toll staggering. There was no telling which of the remains matched which of the numerous mineral names, however. Whatever had happened here, the end results told of a grim outcome.

As they looked over the names and statuses, more were added to the list. Familiar ones — including their own names — came up with the majority of them recorded as HEALTHY. Each of the agents and senshi that volunteered for the investigation had shown up as such. When Faustite's name appeared on the list, the status listed was UNKNOWN. The information continued to cycle at a steady clip, going back to the beginning of the list with roughly one second spent on each name, and a continuous usable surface of about a square yard.

If they touched the floor and held their finger in place for roughly three seconds, a small user interface populated over the writing. It allowed a search field for any individual in the area, as well as access to a more complete database endemic to the building. If they had anything they wanted to check, they had a personal terminal to it now.

As Jadarite and Faustite circled around the frozen figure, there was little else to discern from him at first glance. He was a towering fellow, standing at roughly six and a half feet, and his shoulders were quite broad, though his frame suggested that he had become more sedentary in recent years. He must have been about mid-thirties — despite the pained look on his face, he was clean-shaven and well-kept. His dark uniform featured the hallmarks of a General, with a dramatic black cape, red anodized pauldrons, and sharp piping that accentuated his hard leather jerkin. The jerkin looked intact from the front.

What stood out, apart from the man being frozen in monochrome, was that a light had begun to erupt from his chest — right over his starseed. It was little more than the size of a quarter, but as bright as a floodlight. It, too, was frozen in time.

“It seems each of these seven pieces are part for a larger whole. Scenes from the past. A story, if you will indulge me.”

But there was a part he couldn’t bring himself to say: “They knew you, didn’t they?”

‘Arnaud, please, give up. You have to give up.’

A certain pang in the Mauvian’s chest hit hard when he heard the words of the formerly silent knight of Cosmos. What was it about her that caused this? He had felt something in the other room when he saw her as well. It was a strange sense of loss. But of what exactly?

He felt as if he lost a person. But this woman was from the past. It was impossible.

Tama shrugged away his feelings like he often did. There was more here then was being shown currently. He grabbed another P symbol, wondering what else was in this scene.

Wither watched the scene play out before him looking at the knights that addressed the general. He must have played them ... or ... been one of them. Wither honestly wasn't sure, but it did seem like they had some trust in him.

He wasn't sure if those were their actual first names or nicknames, they were using, but there was a clear familiarity there.

It was weird though, there was so much knight magic here, how did they even get here. He frowned knowing it was possible, remembering back to when it had happened years ago, senshi and knights.

He turned seeing many of the symbols being occupied and decided to move to the next free one. If they got to them all, maybe they could get the full story or something close. He wondered if they could remove them, but figure may be getting the story first before setting off something like the chains might be best.

When he stood in front of the next free symbol, he reached out and touched it, just as before, waiting to see if he could get another glimpse of what happened.

Captain Leifite
HP:
75/75

Down down down they went until they reached their destination. General Faustite joined them this time. Leifite was pensive during the ride down, deep in her thoughts. They stepped out in the next area and she paused. This clearly was a general's office - as the different little beats of the past played out around them - but it was all the damn knight markings in the entire facility that confused the hell out of her. It was clear that this used be the lab of some sort of knight, but at some point, the Negaverse came to power and Galvorn turned to the winning side.

But why had this facility been here - the Academy too - if knights and senshi were aliens? The senshi definitely were, but if the knights too were aliens, why in the hell would they put their base of operations here? She supposed it probably had something to do with the Silver Millenium and Earth and Moon Kingdoms. So if this place was concieveably part of the Academy or outlying facilities, then the knight symbols made sense.

The rampant knight magic on the other hand...

She stepped up to where Faustite and Jadarite were standing and tilted her head. "... It even froze the light from his starseed... Huh... that's odd. Do we even have a way to forcefully eject a starseed like this?" she said, looking up at the little flashlight of light over his chest. She wasn't tall enough to see into the hole of light though.

General Benitoite.

"R and D..." What was that, he suspected some sort of research group but made up of who, and what did the D stand for? Either way he'd wanted something dealing with henshin pens looked into, but what? Maybe it was worth looking into henshin pens in the future, though what to look for and where to start with the research he wasn't sure. But if a fellow General had seen some worth in looking into them than he figured it worth it again. "So henshin pens...." He'd long since removed his gloves, when he didn't even know, and it was slender fingers which reached out to touch the paper gently. Moving from that paper to another.

"Change the ring into a weapon? Was he looking at how to do that? Or wait..." There were more notes that he noticed after a moment. "He wanted to pull a weapon from the ring...but why?" But why? Why bother with knight items? If their weapons are like his own, like others in the Negaverse, than why did it matter if a weapon could be pulled from the ring when subspace was a thing. Wasn't it the same idea really - pull a weapon from thin air.

"Maybe that isn't the point...the important thing, at least not the only important thing." Because the henshin pen and the ring pictures were both connected to a picture of what he figured was a youma. But how did that all fit together? Stepping back he glanced over his shoulder to see if he couldn't find someone he knew, one of his own. His cousin he spotted but also Arseno. "Cuprite, Arseno, either of you mind coming over here? I want ideas from either of you." He questioned with a motion of his head for them to join him.

Super Corrupt Valeria.

Valeria's attention had gone right to the medical area, of course it had, and away from others she drifted in order to look over the medical bay that was here. Over turning the IV pole as she moved, bending in order to sdo so, she continued on inspecting things. The instraments looked unused, and fairly run of the mill and uninteresting at the moment.

it was the cabinets she went to look into, see if there was anything which they might need. There was no telling what might be hidden away in them. She wasn't the only one looking over things though, as she discovered quickly, but to them she didn't pay much mind as she went to searching and finding what she could. Most of it all looked familiar to her but some was a bit odd...some more than a bit odd. "Either of you practice medicine?" She questioned from where she was considering grabbing some supplies, knelt on the floor peeking at things. "We could take some of these supplies..." And some of the odd items, soemthing to look into later.

Eternal Kamacite
HP: 100

Kamacite wanted to reach out and hug his friend. The puffy hair was concerning, but he didn’t look hurt. He remained close to Roselite for the time being, looking over anything they could learn about the information in bright blue.

He kept his head down when the other two Senshi joined them. They didn’t talk to them, so Kamacite didn’t say anything.

And then Kamacite saw Roselite’s name. He reached over to gently place his hand over Roselite’s arm to get his attention. And then he saw others’ names. And then his own.

But when it came to Faustite --

“Faustite,” Kamacite called to get the General’s attention, but his voice came out weak, so he cleared his throat and tried again. “Faustite, there’s something here you might want to see. It… it might be nothing,” he admitted, feeling his cheeks flush a little because maybe he was just being paranoid. Maybe it was because Faustite was half-youma. Was there anyone else in the area with them half-youma…? Kamacite didn’t immediately see anyone else.

Slowly he lowered himself to crouch down closer to the information. Long fingers reached out to gently brush over the words --

He hadn’t expected the interface to appear.

For a moment longer he stared. There was a search field, but… everyone he cared about was in that room and he knew they were uninjured. What could they possibly want to search for information for if this showed vitals…?

Well… except for Faustite…

Hesitantly, Kamacite typed a single word into the search field and hit enter: Youma

He didn’t know if any information would come up, but they went to the building to try and find out why youma were avoiding the area in the first place.

Another look was exchanged with Cymophane, because he happened to think it was incredibly rude for Benitoite to ask someone else their opinions when he and Cymophane were standing right there.

“This is very interesting,” Taenite said thoughtfully, clearly intrigued and not shy about it. “You know what? I know exactly what this is,” he explained to Cymophane, nodding with confidence.

“You see, Faustite and I, well… let’s just say we’ve gotten together after hours. As in, he’s very acquainted with my bedroom. Ask him about the sheets. Seriously. Top of the line luxury. Anyway. This is definitely...”

He paused for dramatic effect, and the revealed the big answer to Cymophane.

General King Jet
HP: 125

Jet cast a vaguely distressed glance over at Aquamarine, and let out a quiet sigh. “I shouldn’t need to order people around. Everyone here volunteered to help out.”

He understood that some people needed more direction than others, but if they didn’t want to be there, then they shouldn’t have volunteered. It just meant they were a liability by standing around, and he was serious about sending anyone who wasn’t pulling their weight to wait outside of the building.

“Glad you’re okay, though. I don’t like that you could have been hurt,” he added after a moment, turning to lean against the desk so he could lightly brush Aquamarine’s hair out of his face, fingers lingering on his cheek. But he didn’t let his attention last too long. He looked back at the dagger and shook his head.

“What do you think? Some kind of experimentation? Or maybe just trying to modify it. Might have some magic in the blade,” he suggested. He turned the dagger over for a better view, noting how weightless it felt.

And then, before Aquamarine could stop him, he brought the edge of the blade to the tip of his finger and drew the edge against it. He wanted to test for sharpness and if there was any magic beyond feeling as though the air itself was being cut when swung.

Super Miyamoto.

The half hour break, before returning to the investigation, had been much needed for the corrupt senshi. He wasn't much for social things, and being around lots of other people, so he'd needed a bit of a break after being around so many peopple for so long. Not to mention all the magic going on, from storms to winds and more, he needed the time to decompress before going back at things.

The trip back in wasn't too bad though he did wonder what they'd find, as far as the General inside was concerned. Being stuck inside for so long seemed a terrible thing, might drive a person insane really.

The office was more than just a simple office, though it did look ******** interesting as hell to him. There was a lot going on though.

After giving everyone else time to fan out, to see where they all drifted, the dark eyed corrupt headed towards information being displayed in bright blue. Looking over thigns, silent and avoiding anyone else who was here, he took his time looking over things before bending to poke at things. Poking at things might get things to change - to show other information? Though whatr else he'd want to see he wasn't sure...but he supposed any new information would be nice.

Moving his hand to poke and prod at the glass he had to move some of the human remains out of the way, such a mess really, it didn't bother him really that it was human bones - they'd died long ago. Also, considering the General looked like he was frozen mid attack he was going to assume these bodies had belonged to knights, he also hoped they were former knights. He figured good riddance if indeed they had been knights.

Time to poke at glowing blue information and play with human bones...cause why not? 4+2=6?

(Anyone around him...he's open for talking and such.)

Captain Kosmochlor, Team Pipevine
HP: 75/75
Searching the small boxes in the third area, 4
Yes, yes, whatever, General Galvorn. Kosmochlor had her own interests -- she flitted off to the diagrams instead, at least at first, even if she didn't stay looking at them for very long. Nobody had directly ordered her otherwise, and that was her defense, and she'd be sticking to it if anyone asked her anything! Which, ideally, they wouldn't, because why would they, but it was good to have something prepped in her favor if she really needed an excuse.

Not all of these tools she recognized in detail, not exactly, but most of them she could at least guess at a close analogue for. And the dagger looked intriguing, but the General-King and his... tag-along? boyfriend? a third option?? were interested in the dagger, and she'd take her turn when they moved away, she didn't want to crowd them. Mostly she was thinking about her tablet, or some paper, or something -- maybe those engravings meant something? If she copied them down, she could do a little research.

But there was too many people in here!! Everyone was crowding everything of interest. And... look, she'd been thinking about that personal project she'd been poking at for a while, anyway. Maybe these long-forgotten Officers might have made any plans for things an enterprising officer might have been able to replicate? There was only so long she could poke at something without getting frustrated with no breakthroughs, but...

She'd come back in a minute. Too many people would be watching her right now. Someone might get suspicious. Not that they should be suspicious, or anything! But if they were!! It was always good to be cautious around people who could very easily kill her, and, frankly, the death of one convert Captain who'd spent a few years in Seattle instead of Destiny City did not an incident report make. Instead, Kosmochlor kneeled down to look through the small boxes in the third section -- maybe one of these might have something interesting?

General Larimar, Team Mourning Cloak
HP: 100/100
Checking out the scattered remains, 4
Larimar was still scowling and fighting off a headache, but lucky for zem, scowling might have well been zyr neutral face. Yes, there were painkillers in the medkits, but those had a purpose. How ******** pathetic would it be to need to take some for what was genuinely just a mundane, normal, headache, especially in front of -- oh -- a ******** General-King? Haha, no, ze was just going to deal with it on zyr own, thanks.

Desecrating the dead? God, who cared. Larimar summoned zyr dagger to hand, just to have something to touch skulls and bones with that wasn't zyr hands and had more dignity than a poking stick, and went to work looking at the remains. Maybe some personal belongings weren't completely rotted to dust? Maybe some sigils? If people were seeing memories, it might be worthwhile to try and identify remains. Or maybe not. One never knew. Maybe there was something hidden in these crumbling bodies that, useful or useless to the investigation both, might be interesting to Larimar zemself. Maybe some kind of a trophy, if ze would be so lucky.
