Ialo though for a moment, and crossed his arms. "I would like for you to find as many mentions of what kind of magic Setsuka uses the most often."

No one, Ialo thought, could be wholly unpredictable. If Adolf could find out what sort of attacks Mirror b***h (he was beginning to love that term) was most partial to, he could begin there with protecting the shield. From what he personally remembered, Setsuka loved to play with her prey and twist their minds. Perhaps the first order then, would be to create a shield that blocked spiritual magic - no astral projection, no telepathy across the barrier... could that even be done? It probably could. It was just a magical signal jammer.

Dymetri looked down into Lin's beautiful crystal blue eyes. "Where ever you are, I'll be. I'm not going to lose an opportunity to be with you a second time." He cuddled against her hand as she smoothed his hair and smiled. His eyes closed. "When do I get my own pendant, darling?"

"Ah, good, someone who knows where they're going." Relieved, Gia followed Kan-Shin, trusting him to navigate the halls that never seemed to end.

((Hello I am back! Sorry for the long hiatus! I just had a huge writer's block!))

The staff room only had several members remaining. The only people in the room were the assistant principal and the secretary. Kan-Shin looked at the clock and sighed "It is obvious that most teachers would be teaching at this time!" He lightly interrogated the two individuals and gathered that the principal has been gone for quite a long time. He even showed the letter he got and both of them cannot identify the author. Kan-Shin bowed in gratitude for their help. He faced Gia and smiled "What do you teach? Since I am going to be free all day, I wouldn't mind seeing how you teach your class! I will make sure I use the camouflage spell to reduce the amount of distraction!"

Immature Excuse
Dymetri looked down into Lin's beautiful crystal blue eyes. "Where ever you are, I'll be. I'm not going to lose an opportunity to be with you a second time." He cuddled against her hand as she smoothed his hair and smiled. His eyes closed. "When do I get my own pendant, darling?"

Lin sighed softly and leaned her forehead up against Dymetri's as she moved her body closer to his and closed her eyes. In her mind, only Dymetri was near her now. They were in their own little world. Oh she loved him so much. She honestly never thought she would ever feel something this intense. She didn't think that love existed to this degree. She had obviously witnessed very loyal and deep love, but elves did not show their passion for their partner in public for the most part. It wasn't that the elves looked down on that display of affection. They simply didn't show it themselves. So, she had never witnessed such a love that she was feeling now.

Lin smiled softly and sweetly, and brought up her other hand to brush it gently along one of Dymetri's cheeks.

"I believe we should wait until tomorrow. Then, my family can come with us when you receive your own pendant. I know they will be more than happy to give you one when they see how connected we are. We do not give out pendants very often, but my headmistress at Bai Ching has one and so does Professor Akakios now. These people are held in high honor among us. This will mean that you will be held in high regard and affection among my family as well when you receive yours."

Lin's father had continued to walk toward his house when he soon realized that his daughter and her friend were not following him. He turned around and saw them a few feet back holding each other. He smiled and laughed softly. He was very happy to see that his daughter found someone she truly loved and someone who returned her affection, but if they kept this up, they would never reach their home.

He cleared his throat softly. "Children? We need to continue moving forward or we will miss supper."

Lin smiled and laughed as she heard her father. She kissed Dymetri's cheek and then pulled back. She began walking forward again and kept her hand in Dymetri's.

"Yes, father. I am sorry for the delay."

((...I got nothin.))

"Ah, I'll be teaching the 'Mystical Creatures' course starting at the beginning of next week. I'm afraid there's no class to distract or teach at the moment." She said on a little laugh.

((Well, that's something I suppose.))

((Hey all! I just got back from a 2 week trip with my unit. Twas crazy and a half. But anyway, I know I left you all hanging with that last little tidbit before I left, so here's the rest of it! Say hello to Silas Lime!))

Silas was sitting at the head of his immense meeting table that was situated in the center of his board room located on the top floor of his 200 floor skyscraper in Tokyo, Japan. Japan certainly wasn't one of Silas' favorite places in the world, but it was the biggest economical hotspot, and key to his conglomerate's success. Silas was holding his head in his left hand as his right hand fiddled with his armrest. He was currently in his bi-annual profit assessment meeting, and the table was full of all of his department heads, each with their own subordinates brought along for their own benefit. Silas began to zone out as each of his heads updated him on their profit margins for the quarter.

"Our assets in the food industry have recently broken through with their innovative 'Microwave Thanksgiving'. Families all across the U.S. will be clamoring for it. Projected sales will push our stocks up at least 5 points within the first month of release."

"Our cosmetics divisions have also done well with their new acne creams. They not only get rid of the acne quickly, but make sure that it comes back within a few days, thus ensure people will keep buying our product. Projected sales are upwards of 10 million a year."

"And the science division has recently started research into the..."

Silas held up a hand that silenced the board immediately. He was getting bored with all the details and wanted someone to cut to the chase. "Spare me the specifics. What's the bottom line for the quarter?"

There were several nervous looks around the board table as the specified 'speaker' of the group stood up from his chair and addressed Silas directly. "...ahem, well, despite our leaps forward in many of our fields, it seems that our overall profit has only gone up... by... 5%..." The speaker's words trailed off as he spoke the bad news aloud. There was a deep silence throughout the board as Silas' eyes snapped open at the news. He slowly picked his head up and began to stare daggers at the hapless board member who had spoke. "....excuse me?"

"...ummmmm, well, profits have only gone u-"

Silas immediately slammed his fist down on the table, causing the polished mahogany to shake violently. Silas' voice was high pitched and just the slightest bit squeaky as he bellowed at his employees. "I HEARD WHAT YOU SAID! HOW WAS THIS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN!?!?"

The speaker from before was floored back in his seat and began to shake visibly from fear as he attempted to explain the situation. "W-w-w-well s-s-sir, i-it seems that w-we own most of t-t-the available business left in the world. S.Lime Inc. is the biggest conglomerate in the world now. We lead in just about everything. We've hit a point where we can't grow anymore."

Silas growled in anger at this. This was unacceptable! His code-monkeys had projected his profits would rise at LEAST 25% by the next quarter! Silas would not stand for this. He swept his hand across the whole room, shouting as he did so. "GET OUT! YOU'RE ALL FIRED!!" Everyone in the room jumped out of their seats and immediately scrambled for the door in a flurry of papers and expensive suits. Silas sat down in his seat with an angry thump as he hit a button on his desk. A small chime could be heard as Silas seemed to speak to the room itself. "Mary, come in here. Now."

Almost immediately a rather shapely secretary walked into the room, carrying a stack of papers in her left hand and a warm mug of coffee and the world newspaper in her right. She set the mug down in front of Silas with the papers next to it. Silas grabbed the mug angrily and began to sip the expensive, imported coffee as he ranted to his secretary. "How could this happen? My experts told me our profits were supposed to have gone up 25% by now!" Mary simply smiled at her boss as she explained the situation in a sultry voice. "It's quite simple really sir. We've just gotten so big that we can't get any bigger." Silas grunted as he picked up the paper and began to leaf through the pages. He needed to clear his head, read something that would make his day a little bit be-

And that was when he saw it. The headline of the technology section. "Enlil Corp. does it again!" The article was spewing endless praise about Enlil Corp's new line of military AI chips. They had managed to beat out Silas' science for the upteenth time this year. Silas let out an angry yell at this and immediately began to tear up the paper mercilessly. "HOW!? HOW IS IT THAT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS THAT p***k STILL MANAGES TO OUTSHINE ME!?!?" Silas threw himself back into his chair violently, causing the reclining mechanism to work overtime to compensate for the sudden motion. Silas held his head in his hands. He had to beat that no good Ialo at something sometime. He just had to! Ialo had beaten him in just about everything ever since he had been at MFHS. But Silas had more issues to worry about, and they were staring him in the face next to his coffee.

Silas began to leaf through the papers in font of him as he chided his secretary. "You know as well as I do that there's always room for improvement. Show me where we don't have any holdings yet. There's gotta be something we're missing." Mary immediately pointed to a spot on the page that listed several extremely small profit businesses, listed from most profitable to least. Silas began to skim down the page until his eyes rested on the the 6th entry. Academics it read. Silas tilted his head to the side as he read that, speaking aloud to his secretary. "I thought we had holdings in Harvard now?" Mary's smile stayed on her face as she relayed the new information to her boss. "Unfortunately much of the stocks associated with Harvard were sold off during the last stock plummet. People felt that they needed to invest in education more to help even out the economy." Silas nodded his head at that. "Yes, that's right. People do still hold on to silly hopes like that don't they?" Silas flipped through the pages until he came to the list of most profitable schools in the world. The list also included many schools that were considered 'secret' to the rest of the world, but Silas covered ALL of his bases when it came to money. And right at the top of the list was... Mystic Fountain High!?!? Silas nearly spat his coffee out when he saw that. He immediately pointed to it and began to question his secretary frantically. "How ist that possible!? I went there for chris'sake! That school was second hand, at best!" Mary's calm was still there as she explained. "It seems that they underwent new management recently and the new headmaster was able to fund the school himself through his personal bank accounts." Silas looked at the short list of stats listed underneath MFHS' name and stopped dead when he came to one detail in particular. Headmaster: Ialo Enlil.

Silas' face began to take on a shade of red that would make a tomato jealous, but before he blew his top completely, an idea came into his head. A brilliant, devious, evil, wonderful idea. Silas face slowly became calm, then the semblance of a grin began to form. Soon Silas was full on smiling as the idea began to mold and take solid form in his mind. A small laugh escaped his lips as he set the papers back in the pile before him. "Mary, call Isaac. We've got some work to do." Mary curtsied just low enough for Silas to see down the cut in her shirt, exactly as he had paid her to do for the past 3 years. She picked up the papers and promptly left, swaying her hips all the way out the doors. Silas sat in his chair and began to laugh to himself. First quietly, then it grew to a fever pitch within minutes. In one moment of brilliance Silas had figured out how to grow his empire even farther and finally beat his long-time rival Ialo Enlil.

{{LOL!! Okay, I was reading up in the first section of MFHS to remember some of what Lin and Dymetri went through since Lin is probably supposed to remember and so I need to read and remind myself. Well, I stumbled upon this gem of a post by Secret that I just had to quote. It's when Athena sees Dymetri at her and Lin's window for the first time. Remember, Lin and Athena are roommates. This post was classic and made me laugh so hard, which is hard to do!}}

Secret Kirari
((*evil grin*))

Suddenly, Athena glanced out of the shower on a hunch, and--yep, she'd forgotten pants. She didn't really want to walk around pantsless since Lin was back (had she been alone, it wouldn't have mattered). So, the shampoo still in her hair, she stepped out and wrapped a towel around herself so she could quickly grab a pair of jeans. It didn't occur to her that she could just wait and then cover her lower half with a towel when she was done.

Unlocking the door (it was a habit built from living with ten brothers, a sister, and pets upon pets), Athena stepped out and was about to briefly apologize to Lin and grab her pants when she saw none other than Professor Valen standing at the window, talking intimately with Lin. And both, if Lin turned, would have a wonderful view of her towel-clad, shampoo-haired self right now. She did what any person's first instict would be: she yelped loudly, pointing dramatically at the vampire professor.

"GAH! DUH! BLEUH!" Whatever the hell she was saying was even beyond her as she glanced from Lin to the professor to Lin and back and forth, her finger subconsciously following her gaze. Obviously not thinking clearly, a small spout of fire was shot at P. Valen, and she dashed to her side of the room, grabbed pants, and rushed back. For whatever reason, though, she turned and stared again. "RURAGH?!" It sounded more like a half-threatening, half-scared bark than anything more human...

She was so glad that her tail had stayed down by her legs the whole time.
