He scratched his head sheepishly as he forgot that she was a new teacher as well. When she said something about finding the headmaster together, he nodded "I will gladly help you find him! The sooner we find him, the sooner he will help us." Min-De then asked "That is a good idea and all, but do we have any leads?" Kan-Shin's smile quickly turned into a frown and closed his eyes as scratches his head. "You do have a point, Min-De! Sheesh, I feel stupid for getting carried away!" Kan-Shin grumbled. He looked at professor Saffron and asked "Should we start asking other teachers from the teacher's room or any other place you think we should try?"

Lin nodded and then leaned forward to hug Ambrose again. "Alright... And I have to move on with my life. I cannot put my entire life on hold, my dreams for a family gone, simply because I am too afraid of losing someone if I grow close to them. I think that would be worse than losing another person close to me."

She leaned her head back just slightly and lightly ran her hands through his hair.

"Would you like to go back to our elven home for awhile right now? I miss it and you and I grew closer while we were there the last time. Professor Akakios is still here and can take care of the hospital wing. I believe we are all recuperating right now."

She smiled softly. "We can tell my family about us and you can also receive your own pendant of our spring water, if you wish. Does this sound like something you would like to do, Ambrose? Or do you wish to remain here?"

Ophiuchus sighed softly from where he was standing. It was the same risk Ialo was taking - if Riser were to fall (which the White Serpent sincerely doubted would happen) Danni would not be the only one to go on a killing spree. "Of course it's not mentioned, but it's still there."

Alec took in everything that was happening in stride. glad that Riser was distracted with Seven for the moment so he could talk with Ophi in relative privacy. Alec turned his head to face Ophi as he spoke. "So yeah, we're being boned again, this time by someone who makes Riser looks like a pushover." Alec actually took the time to process the information, and a very blank, yet worried look came over his face. "...that's actually the scariest thing I've ever heard."

After the initial shock was over, though, Alec stood up from where he was, now having a much more determined look on his face. "Well, we'd better start planning then. What can we do to protect ourselves while we're waiting? Is there any kind of defense systems built into the school?"

He seemed taken aback at what Seven had just said; she had agreed with him, over everything. Clearly full sentience was not part of this 'primary goal' of hers. He stared at her, his eyes wavering ever so slightly as he did; that was why he hated her, she was a fake. After eons of sifting through human minds with little to no resistance, this steel beast stood before him in clear defiance of his own motives and his own power. No matter how hard he tried, he knew it was a futile effort, all the concentration in the world would not allow him into this electric brain.

The animosity slowly dissipating from the room, the Fallen turned to answer Leaton's question.
"Well, there was one, but Alex made quick work of that. I've brought in a specialist though, he's an expert with kinetic and ethereal barriers, and he's also a close 'friend'. His name is 43BLACK, call him Mr. Black if you'd like; he'll be arriving in the courtyard any time now, if he already hasn't."

When Alec mentioned defense systems, Danni fell into a contemplative silence. Right. Shields. Damn it, those weren't her specialty. Her father's, yes, and Ambrose's, but not her. She'd never had much use for such things.

But damn it, there was a need for them now. The shack. She'd focus on the shack. It was on the school grounds, and it was her home. So it would be protected. No nice little white magic shields for the shack, no sir. She still felt a muscle twitch under her eye when she used white magic. It went against her nature.

She'd just think of it as a wall. A big, badass, angry wall around the shack and the area surrounding it, right up to the forest. The thought of it made her grin, just a bit, and the grin was anything but friendly. It was hard, brittle, dark.

The threat of absolute disaster always gave her such a rush. Because it did, and because she knew Cook was update her later if she asked, she leaned back against the wall again and dropped off like a stone, the dark grin still on her face. Oh yes, she thought, it was good to be back...

"Ah, good, someone who knows where they're going." Relieved, Gia followed Kan-Shin, trusting him to navigate the halls that never seemed to end.

Ambrose smiled, though his heart was pounding. Tell her family...Oh boy. He'd have to tell his as well, of course, but he'd prefer to put off taking her to the island. Darkness lived in the forests beyond the clearing and the shore, after all. Hadn't Izzy summoned it from the shadows there often enough for him to know as much?

He ran his hand over her hair again, and thought she smelled of spring. Fresh, innocent, bright, all that was good and whole and pure. And he loved her.

"We shall go to your family and tell them. I'm quite fond of your home." He said, smiling.

Old legends depict a tale so fantasy that even the most gullible find it hard to believe that souls travel to a different world once their body departs. But not even old legends could compare with what happens to high vampires when their soul departs from their body.
It's true, that even the undead could still have their souls intact. But the vampire is a cruel, dark species although in personality could be strongly opposed. Once the soul departs from their old body, it searches for long periods of time to find a new body capable of inhabiting. It usually strikingly resembles their old body, although not every soul is lucky enough to find a new body their same species.
Most would see this transition as reincarnation, but there are differences between a vampire reincarnation. Memories from the past life aren't as concealed as they would be if a human were to take this same form of afterlife. It takes only a familiar face, a familiar taste, for the old memories to come rushing back. For the new body, it's disorientating. For the old mind, it's warm reassurance.
With this in mind, young 17 year old Marcos Demoir was packing for what he hoped to be a memorable experience at a new school, fit for his new exceptional talents.
