The squid looked at Sly, then at Gia, and whined like an oversized puppy. She wanted to play with both of them...

Gia ran a hand over the squid, then grinned over at the boy. This might be one of her students. Who knew? "Hey there. I'm Professor Saffron. You?" She asked, grinning.

Stryker yipped like a scared animal, and instantly reached a hand toward a shadow, grabbing it and covering himself in a cocoon of darkness. Slowly, a hole appeared, big enough for his face to be seen. "Uhm.. H-hi," he stammered, not sure whether to drop his shield or not. If worse came to worse, he could make Wind push him away. Wind liked him, so it didn't mind doing his bidding. However, hearing that she was a professor, he dropped the shield, the shadow moving back to it's original spot. Still, he was tense, ready to run, or defend himself. "I.. I'm Strykerius," he said, his deep voice thrumming the air with power, like that of drums pounding in a slow, steady rhythm

"What," he said motioning his right hand around through the air as he began to pace slowly around. "would you say is your opinion of the world today? Personally, I think it is a dismal, horrible place. The human species has deviated horribly from what was planned of it, and I aim to set this straight with time."
He motioned his hand across the ground and a large earthen throne rose to meet his command; as he sat, a ring of spires of some sickly black energy billowed around his head like an otherworldly crown. Leaning forward, his chin resting on his left hand, "I'm sure you must have noticed the change Ialo experienced earlier, why suddenly he became so different, so dark, so strong."

Lin finally broke out of her daze. So much had happened in such little time that she hadn't known what to do or say. But now she had a pretty good idea. She needed to get out of here. She needed to get James and get out of here as fast as she could. She was already very weak from all the dark energy that permeated this place. Poor James had used so much of his own power that he had passed out. The shaking that had been caused by his mere voice had startled her, but she hadn't really been scared. This was James. Nothing about James scared her.
She didn't believe that Satan was really gone. If he could be so easily defeated, then her people would have defeated him thousands of years ago. Heck, many people could have defeated him a long time ago. A simple child could not have truly killed Satan. That was just not plausible. Besides, if he were dead, then evil would cease to exist and Lin would no longer feel weak. Seeing as how she very much still did, she knew that Satan was not gone.
Lin let go of Ambrose's hand. He seemed just fine right now. He did not need her protection. James did. It actually unnerved her greatly how calm he seemed to be. Why wasn't he feeling weak as well? He was part Elf. Maybe since he was just part Elf, he didn't get weak around dark energy.
As Lin let go of Ambrose's hand, her force field left him and everyone that he was holding hands with. With her force field still in tact around her, Lin walked toward a wolf-like creature. He seemed to be on their side, so she wasn't afraid of him. She simply grabbed James by his arms and hauled him off of the creature's back.
James' feet fell to the ground with a dull thud. Lin managed to drag him far enough away to an area where she could form a water portal.
She gently laid James back down on the ground and then grasped the pendant around her neck. She took a single drop of water from it, dropped it on the ground, and then used most of her remaining energy to focus on making a water portal back to MFHS appear. One did appear, though it was not as bright or as large as the normal ones that Lin made.
With her eyes drooping, she leaned down, grabbed James' arms again, and managed to pull him through the portal. As soon as they were through the portal, Lin collapsed on the ground and almost instantly passed out beside James. Her long brown hair was lying sprayed out behind her, shining in the light. With how serene she looked, many who might pass might would probably just think that she and James were taking a nap.
The portal would stay open for 10 more minutes. Lin had put that time limit on it when she had been forming it so that anyone else who wanted to follow her back to school could. Since she had set that time limit while forming it, it did not disappear when she passed out.

Gia smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Strykerius. I hope I'll see you in my class sometime. You'll learn more about creatures like this cutie here." She said, stroking the squid even as Milo snorted his dissent. She chuckled, running a hand over his head as well. ____________________________________________________
Danni listened to Riser, wishing he'd just get to the damned point. Did he really pull her from her nice, cushy cloud just to talk about the stupid world and Ialo? Ok, so maybe she cared about the second subject, but still.
With a sigh, she looked around, saw the blood drenched earth and the clear blue sky above, a direct contrast. "The world? As I see it, people reap what they sow. They made this earth what it is now, and now they just have to deal with it. It's none of my concern." She said, shrugging.
"As for Ialo...There's power inside him I probably won't ever understand, and frankly that's his right if he doesn't want to share it." Usually she had just a bit more tact than this. But she decided that, today of all days, she was entitled to be just a bit out of sorts.

Wind was blowing all around the path Kan-Shin and his apprentice, Min-De, travels on. He looked around and smiled as he thought "This road brings so many memories of this place." He looked back at the letter he got that said the Mystic High School Fountain was in peril and is under construction. He thought it could have been the principal but the handwriting were nowhere near the principal's calligraphy. He finally reached the sign that said the school is coming up pretty soon and Kan-Shin turned to Min-De "Hey Min-De! Keep your chin up! We are getting near!" Min-De looked up blushing and stutter "Y-y-y-yes sir!" When Kan-Shin saw the academy but his smile of expected nostalgia soon turned to a frown of disappointment. The school was not as grand as he remembered as he saw the school being rebuilt. He looked at the letter again and sighed "I hoped they meant the education was decreasing due to lack of good teachers, but it seems the person meant it literally! Let's go, Min-De!" Min-De responded quietly "Yes! Sir!" as she became nervous to see the school her master came from. He then walked around to greet his good old teachers. At the same time, there have been teachers that tried to be nice to him to make their students think that his teaching helped Kan-Shin. However, he can easily tell that they were terrible teachers so he kindly greets them and leaves them. Eventually he did notice pictures of teachers he never met yet and thought "I would like to see how good these teachers are!"

Adolf wasn't sure if it was really alright to let the little elf girl drag the necromancer around like that, but he wasn't hurt (that the yokai knew of), so he didn't stop her. He got the vague feeling that she wouldn't respond anyway. He was wondering what exactly she was doing, but when she opened up the portal... well, golly gee. Why hadn't anyone thought of that sooner? (Of course, he hadn't because he couldn't exactly just rip portals out of nowhere with people laying on his back.)
Carefully standing, he walked over to the portal. It was a bit small... but maybe--ah, yes. By decreasing his size to about half (such a useful thing to know), he was able to fit through. Ten feet tall was much easier to deal with than twenty feet tall, by most people's standards.
He walked calmly through Lin's portal and back onto the grounds of Mystic Fountain High School. He saw the girl had fainted rather unceremoniously right outside her own portal... Foolish. Why was it that young people were always so foolish? The dragon, the devil-killer, the necromancer, this elf, and his own goddaughter. (And, quite likely, Fluffy, too, but it had been a while since he'd spoken with that particular yokai.)
He sighed gently and resumed his natural height before gently picking both elf and necromancer and placing them onto his back. He would carry them to the hospital wing, though he wasn't sure if anyone was even there. The only one he knew of that seemed to ever be there was that Ophiuchus character, who he'd just left behind through the portal.

Lia and Ambrose walked through the portal behind Adolf, while Sly and Cook stayed behind for a moment, then realized Danni wasn't going anywhere any time soon. They, too, walked through, leaving the others to...whatever they were doing.

Kan-Shin went around looking at every class and what he found did disappoint him to some degree. There was nothing wrong with the way most of the teachers taught. Kan-Shin sighed as he looked out the first-floor windows and going back on memory lane and realized "You know! Out of all my classes with the exception of two or three, all of them have been pretty bland! I mean only my favorite teachers were the ones with funny punchlines and epic pranks but the others were just pure information. It was no wonder people around me nod their heads until they pass out!" Min-De stood next to Kan-Shin and asked "M-master! Are you down because you find it odd that school is so different or is it something else?"
Kan-Shin sighed and thought "Well of course anyone would find odd because it is so differ...." Then an idea popped into his head as he thought and jumped up so suddenly "Huh! WAIT!!! THAT'S IT!!!!" He turned to Min-De and gave her a kiss so close to her lips that it was enough to leave her speechless and blushing for a week. Kan-Shin smiled as he held onto her shoulders "THANK YOU FOR THE IDEA!!!! NOW THERE IS A WAY TO SPICE UP THIS CURRENTLY DULL SCHOOL!!!!" As he skipped away from her happily, Min-De stood so still some passerby thought a student accidentally summoned a wax sculpture from a Madame Tussauds exhibition.
Just then he saw a portal outside with some young people and quickly assumed they were students so he went out to greet them. He casually walked up to the three students and asked in a uplifted tone "Shouldn't you three be in class right now? Get to class so you won't miss out on homework! By the way, where's the principal? I need to consult him with something!"

Stryker nodded, and slightly bowed; a respectful sign the Nymphs had taught him. "Yes, ma'am. I am quite fond of Creatures..," he mumbled, feeling embarrassed and nervous. "Professor Saffron, is it at all possible to enroll in classes through you? I'm not sure where the Head Master, or Mistress, is.. I've never seem him or her." His eyes looked around hastily, in case there was any danger. He was slightly calmed, however, because he figured Milo would notice before anyone if there was danger... Or would he even care? He was an Ether creature. Could they even be harmed in this plane?

"Well, I'm afraid I'm looking for the Headmaster as well. I'm a new professor, you see, so...It seems we're both at a loss. I'm sure he'll turn up eventually." She said reassuringly, smiling kindly.

Kan-Shin's eye grew wide when the female in the group just said she is a teacher herself. He was quite surprised because not only was she not in class when it was time of instruction, but the fact she looked rather young for a teacher. He blushed in slight embarrassment and scratched his head "I see! Sorry for my mistake! It's just you have such fair skin that I mistook you for one of the students! Since you said you are a new teacher I don't think we met, correct?" He bowed to the female teacher "My name is Kan-Shin Jun! I graduated here 7 years ago and graduated extremely early!"
Min-De was staggering in the hallway and she saw her master talking to some people outside the school. Absentmindedly, she walked till she was next to Master Kan-Shin. When she snapped back to reality, she jumped up and said "Master! I-I-I....." Kan-Shin stood upright and pointed his thumb at his apprentice "This is my apprentice, Min-De Kang! She has been with me for almost a year now!"

He sighed somewhat lackadaisically and leaned back into his throne as his left hand motioned to the young girl before him. "Well, it's plain to see you're in no mood for any filler. I'll skip straight to the point here if you'd like."
It was plain from the glare in her eyes as he stood that she wanted nothing more; she didn't care, he was losing. His shadow rather suddenly shot across the ground and enshrouded her as though he were dozens of times taller than he was. "My apologies for this, it will take but a second." He grinned, and with no more warning than that, he lunged at her with Tempora.
The pair found themselves in a desolate, forgotten realm devoid of any and all color save a sickly gray and black. Gingerly he moved the blade away from her throat, as though he had only lightly placed it there to begin with. A massive, intricate clock floated overhead in place of the sun, it gave a sickening sensation with its Tick...Tock.....Tick..........Tock............ constantly slowing, always slowing, never moving. All those that had surrounded them were frozen in place, entirely oblivious to the fact that the pair had gone to this macabre place at all.
"Alright Danni, not a single one of them shall notice that we were ever here. As soon as I release the effect, it will be as though we never moved a muscle." He swirled the blades around and placed each in a sheath attached to his belt. "Now that we have a moment of privacy, I'd like to discuss your future. The world's future. The human future."
Strolling around casually, this 'border world' as he would later call it seemed to be distorting his physical embodiment. As he walked, he seemed to be trailing off into dust. And at first, only in short glimpses, it seemed as though he were losing a definite form; minutes later and one could visibly see each of his separate forms swirling listlessly in and out of order, going from one form, to another, to the next, and on and on and on. His face, his body, his details were all changing at a moderate pace. "Danni, you're powerful. And as an added bonus, you wield my natural form; darkness. You see, I'm beginning to fear for Ialo. He is powerful, yes, but he keeps the power locked away in a box deep within him. He has never undergone training, only throwing the chains off that box when he absolutely must under threat of death. Danni, I'd like to offer you a similar power. Only in the details will you be different from Ialo; I want to train you, I want you to follow my commands on how to use this power, I want you to do what that fool was too stubborn to allow. Your fate will still be your own though, you would merely be an insurance policy against Ialo's failure. Should his death or what have you arrive, you would be able to step in and fulfill his role. If not, you would gain a serious addition to your already impressive arsenal of abilities."
He paused, looking down at her. "The most you would have to do beyond training is save Ialo's a** when he needs it; and you already seem to have that trick down." He grinned as the glow from his eye began to swirl and distort in that eerie world.
