You really are a computer whiz, Ami! Do you have a photo of your set-up? smile To all: How's it going? Finally, my shifts should be back to 30 hrs a week. Woohoo! Who else wasn't impressed by this summer's event? Sorry Fluff fans! I'm already getting a little psyched for my favourite "holiday"... Halloween! twisted

n o i r i s t You really are a computer whiz, Ami! Do you have a photo of your set-up? smile I was going to when my LCD monitor arrived (late June), but my camera's battery was dead. xp There are more desktop builds in this house, though! Finally got my nVidia GeForce 7800 GS AGP graphics card, so this is the final first part of the build. Interestingly, Internet Explorer 8 behaved better with my 8400GS PCI card. Edit: Hilarious. I only realized that the 7800GS graphics card actually has a G71 core (and not the gimped G70 core). Got so excited at this fact and was going to this guild to edit this post, then... it blacked out and crashed while I was using it. Not the first time, either. Really gotta remind myself to install case fans on this build. Edit 2: Crashed again. Last played Infinity Mijinion's theme song (Megaman/Rockman X6) on Windows Media Player 9 and walked away. I remember messing with the AGP aperture. I last set it to 128Mb. I set it back to 256Mb. Funny, the old 6800 Ultra didn't crash with the previous setting. Final Edit: It is now 10:24 PM EDT. Computer is fine and has not crashed since the AGP aperture change.

So I have this problem where if I get bit by the right thing it can swell up real big real fast. It hasn't really happened badly in quite a while so imagine my fear when something I don't know bit my second toe on my left foot. The initial bite hurt like hell and nearly every toe and half of the top of my foot swelled up. My second left toe was so swollen I could barely bend it. I've taken three doses of Benadryl and iced it quite a bit since then and while everything else has gone down except for the toe that was bitten. While the bottom is better it's still puffy and feels hard.
Bah, why do bugs think I'm some kind of free buffet?

I think you know what part of the episode I am referring to. lol wink SKDJF CEL THERE'S A LOT OF NIHON PARTS IN THIS EPISODE ARE YOU TRYING TO MANIPULATE ME AND MAKE CAE SLIP SOMETHING IN MY TEA /shot gomen. Okay, well I think I know the parts of which you are talking about, but the episode is mostly about Japan/Kiku around his allies.
GET READY ALICE'S GEEK SIDE IS COMING THROUGH
There's a lot of things Easterners aren't used to seeing from the West just as Westerners aren't as used to the East. So when he thought that Western cultures are bizarre and complex, that would be because he's very, very new to the cultures in the West. The timeline in Hetalia Season 1 revolves mostly around the World Wars (most episodes in WWII, but Hima-sama's timelines are kinda wonky so I don't blame anyone if they're confused as to how the series is progressing. Note that Himaruya isn't working on the actual storyline. He's just doing random facts about the history of the world, and although some aren't as accurate, the comics are hilarious.) Japan came out of its isolation around the 1850's (1839) and even around the second World War (1939), the country is still getting used to the new ways of the world. I'm no history expert though so I may get the years wrong.
But, I think that's why Kiku said that in the first scene.
Now if you say that Kiku is a hypocrite in this timeline, then I'd say no he's not. And the naked bit where he got flustered because Ital-- I mean Feli and Germa-- er, Ludwig doesn't have their tops on would be because the Japanese are way too formal around that time. Like I said, they're new-- or well, getting used to the ways of the world even in the World Wars. Perhaps he might be if you put him in the modern age today though, since Japan is blowing every single country out there-- don't worry England you're on top of my chart forever <3-- when it comes to their current culture.

@_@ Didn't expect history lesson here. xd I'm not really referring to the timeline of the story. I could care less about that. I just meant that while he freaked out over Germany and Italy running around half undressed, and yet he didn't really flinch when that "particular piece of literature" fell out of the bookshelf at the end of the episode. I thought it was funny. Now, if only it would quit freezing up in the middle on You Tube... And for the record, I wouldn't need to use Caelen for that. twisted Accio Alice Celestine Ravencroft Doesn't episode 15 of Hetalia kinda make Japan a hypocrite? The old ones are much better to learn about.

Finally got back to working on my MST's after a long hiatus. (Pookie had to move and he's my editor, so that's why.)
Now a part of me is worried that the Agape'll be going out of my reach when I'll get any closer to it... gonk
