The Pekryht were a unique race of creatures that were brought here by accident. A young science student named L-kun decided to work on an extra-credit assignment after school. She was failing horribly in science and needed an extremely awesome project to even pass. Her mind wandered as many insane ideas ran through her head. She started walking home, anxious to get started on her new science project. L-kun sat in her room for hours, but was easily distracted. Everytime she thought of a "good" idea, she would start doodling all over her paper until her once "good idea" was a bunch of loopy lines and swirvey scribbles. She got fed up with it and decided to call a friend for help and advice.
She called her old pal, Sunstrike, and told him about her extra-credit science project. He laughed and knew how terrible she was at science. Of course he was mister straight "A" student and didn't even think about having to do extra-credit assignments...especially on the weekends. He threw some ideas at L-kun, but she declined every last one of them. She wanted something new...something incredible...maybe even something that would make history...
Sunstrike told L-kun he had an underground basement where they could concentrate on thinking up a science project. L-kun agreed and met Sunstrike at his house. They hurried down to the underground basement and started talking about their ideas. "Let's make something alive!", shouted L-kun.
"You're crazy", replied Sunstrike. "I am going to go get some things from the kitchen. Don't fool around down here, L-kun. I'll be back in 5 minutes", he said.
"Okie dokie!", said L-kun, with a sly grin on her face.
Sunstrike headed back upstairs to the kitchen and started fixing him and L-kun a snack when all of a sudden, "BOOM!" there seemed to be an explosion downstairs.
"L-KUN!", screamed Sunstrike. He was furious, knowing L-kun had done something terrible! He rushed to the basement, but couldn't see anything due to a huge cloud of smoke. "Hello? L-kun?", said Sunstrike. Sunstrike turned around as he felt a chilling cold breath down his neck, followed by a low grumble. The smoke cleared and revealed what appeared to be a....monster?! Sunstrike yelped and ran into a corner of the room. "L-kun...what is that?!", he whispered.
L-kun walked calmly up beside the monster and gave her "stupid" grin. "Uhhh...I don't know. It was just like he appeared out of no where. I think it was magic or something", said L-kun.
"Magic...MAGIC?!", screamed Sunstrike. "I told you not to mess around with anything down here! You know my dad works for the government. He keeps all of his "secret files" down here. We aren't even supposed to be here. Now he will find out and kill me!", exclaimed Sunstrike.
"Sorry...You don't have to be so mad..I mean, I'm sure we can hide him somewherem," said L-kun.
"Hide him?! ARE YOU INSANE L?!", yelled Sunstrike.
"No...I mean..we can just put him in a closet or something?", L-kun said.
Sunstrike sighed and gave L-kun "the look of death". They both looked around for a place to hide him, when they heard the front door slam.
"Uh-oh...Dad's home.", said Sunstrike. They both ran upstairs to stall Sunstrike's father from reaching the underground basement. They tried to think up every excuse to not go down there, but before they could even say anything, Sunstrike's father spoke.
"We're moving, son. Don't ask any questions. I have everything packed. Just grab some clothes and let's go. We have to leave immediately."
They both backed away slowly, then darted into Sunstrike's room. Sunstrike started packing. "You're moving? That really sucks. What about my science project you promised to help me with?", said L-kun.
"Science project? You're worried about a science project when I have an un-known creature in my basement that you created?! I knew you were insane, L"," said Sunstrike.
"I'm coming with you, Sun. We can move together. Then that way we can just forget about the whole monster incident and start over, okay?", L-kun said.
"Whatever...", replied Sunstrike.
So they both packed their things and moved with Susntrike's father. They left the un-known being in the basement. After all...it wasn't their problem anymore, was it? A few months after they moved, the house was sold to a young lady by the name of Raechal. She moved in quickly and seemed to enjoy the house....until she started hearing banging from the basement. She wandered down there and to her surprise, was L-kun's "creation". Raechal was very fond of animals and cared for everyone of them, whether they were the size of an ant or a giant. She took care of the creature as it were her child. She explored the basement more and found the floor was covered with eggs. They seemed to be glowing from inside. She ran upstairs and brought down every blanket she owned, turning her dark basement into a gloomy nursery.
A month went by and one of the eggs started to crack. She knew it was going to contain another one of L-kun's creatures. She also knew wouldn't have enough room in her small basement to keep all of them...so she opened up an adoption agency to the community. Soon the community because familliar with these creatures and lived with them. People were swarming to Raechal's basement to have their very own...creature...Wait..We can't just keep calling them creatures. We need a name for them. Pekryht! It means big hand. Which is one of the creatures' main features!
So...if you ever need a friend, come to Raechal's Basement..Or as the Pekryht's like to call it..the Pekryht Palace, where you can own your own Pekryht.
