Unfortunately, despite my love for the design, I had to disable bettergaia because it would cause random browser crashes, and the mouse would flicker, making it very hard to follow any drop down box links, whether I was surfing on gaia or other sites. So, until something is done about that, I guess I'll have to stick with original gaia. *sigh*

I have to do the same thing because of the problems you've mentioned. I love BetterGaia, but these problems are very annoying and it's makes the expereince of using BetterGaia very difficult. The regular Gaia setup is too cluttered as it is and if I can't use BetterGaia to make it less cluttered because of browser crashes, I don't think I'll be on Gaia as much until there is an update for BetterGaia.

My mouse flickers too. I found otu that when you hover on something, you can see that it's still friendlist etc. If it's on the friendlist, hover on the friendlist of the floating bar... O.k complicated... I will tell after I come home form school *rushes down*

That happens to me too, when I open Gaia in a Tab.

Same, but when I'm on certain pages, like the marketplace or my inventory.

I have/had BG 0.2.2.8, FF 3.5.3, and the TekTek toolbar 2.1, when I had those problems. It would be fine sometimes, and then randomly start flickering, and it wouldn't stop until the computer went to sleep for a while. When it was flickering, it was like it was always trying to sense the friendslist, because no matter whether I was on Gaia or not, the URL for the friendslist would appear down in the lower left hand of the browser, flickering along with the mouse.

»Thanks so much for this! I've just installed it and am trialling it as we speak.

I love that you can customise the background. Will we be able to individually customise post colours and the nav bar in the future? I have a nice vintage wallpaper BG and I'd love to be able to match colours to it xd

Also, I'd love to be able to keep my avatar stats showing permanently at the top.

I have some more ideas for navigation colors, if you'd like to see~
Names are in bold, and their color descriptions are in not-bold. I'll include the hexcode of a color if it's a specific kind of color.
A guide for some help~

Ushiromiya
1) Black
2) Gold (#FCD116)
3) Red (#CD0000)

If it's possible, the little house next to the "Home" button could be replaced with a pixelized version of the One Winged Eagle, like so. Add alpha transparency on your own, btw~

Udonge
1) Pale purple (#D8BFD8 )
2) Red (#CD0000)
3) Navy blue

With the same request like above, perhaps the house icon thing can be replaced with a crescent moon?

If you can't do the house replacing, I'd be fine with that.~

Make an option to wipe off the fconnect button.

That would be nice, or you could use AdBlock Plus and block this:

Also, the big annoying Gold Lotto sign in the middle. Kill it off.

The solution, hover on the friendlist again. If you have a lot of tabs open try them one by one until it stops flickering o3o

Wow, very nice. This brings back the nice memories of Gaia's homebar (Have to remember to re-block the FBConnect bar, as it looks so horribly out of place with this layout...)
I'm especially liking the transparency on windows (I've been a sucker for that kind of thing, don't ask why)

Suggestions:
Custom background images on pages
(As said before) An option to remove the Facebook connect button
Moving the "gold grant" screen over to the left, as right now it overlaps the time and logo.

@Captain Philip Pears: Add the following filter to your Adblock list:

Should remove the image while retaining the awesomeness (there isn't a box of WHITE where the image was before.)

but it shouldn't be happening in the first place, which is the purpose of reporting glitches. Thank you for the workaround, but does it work even if I hadn't visited my friendslist to begin with? I rarely do, and sometimes it started flickering while I was on another site entirely. Gaia was open in a different tab, though. ^^

Suggestion:

Please make the post width in chats format-able. Currently, they are WAAAY too squished, and turn large pages into even larger ones. I personally come from breedables, where EVERY thread is massive, and contains a lot of banners and content on the first page. At the moment, Bettergaia makes it impossible to visit these pages, so I had to disable it.

Please let me know if you do this, so I can redownload! <:

Probably you guys know this already, but here goes:

Clan and Guild announcements mess BetterGaia up.
The background appears in the bubble box, the online/offline button is blanked out and several parts of the layout are cut off.

I'd post a picture, but the only one I have right now is kind of Clan publicity.

I have another suggestion: allow for static images (the image won't move when you scroll up/down.) Along with this could be an option to center the image (if it's smaller than the screen).
