This was seriously news I wasn't expecting a day before my birthday in the middle of all the fun festivities.

I'm honestly speechless at the news. I've been in and out of crying fits all afternoon, silently praying to Heavenly Father that this simply was. not. true. To be honest, I don't want to believe someone has passed on, it's always hard no matter who the person is. I didn't know her as well as most, but being that she was a Forum Assistant, I always ran into her one way or another.
She worked so hard to get activity going in my guild, giving nearly 110% at any moment in time. She even won a prize in our referral contest that ended at the beginning of the month, little did I know she passed away the day I made the trade.
The fact she cared about everyone, be them a staff member or a user, a gaia oldbie or a newbie is what really touched me the most. I don't think Aparna had a mean bone in her body, and she did her job as an FA excellently.
It's so hard to lose someone who sort of worked with you, helping keeping this place clean, and I would presume it's even harder for those who knew her more than I did.
In one sense there is no death. The life of a soul on earth lasts beyond their departure. You will always feel that life touching yours, that voice speaking to you, that spirit looking out of other eyes, talking to you in the familiar things they touched, worked with, loved as familiar friends. They live on in your life and in the lives of others that knew them.
Rest in peace, we will miss you so so very much. ♥
