xxxxT h e meeting seemed to go over well, even when he spoke highly of Venus. Watching he as he spoke she seemed to become bashful or something. It was rather cute actually. Soon after Faux finished what he needed to say, Rinya was first to speak, she offered the idea to send both hunting and scouting exhibitions out to find what was needed within the land. Get, intel, as she stated "These are very good suggestions Rinya, I will take them into consideration of course." he spoke to her, letting it be known she was in fact heard and he was already pondering such actions being carried out. And within seconds of that the packs Iota spoke up, saying he and Whisper were going out and inviting those to join him.
up until there was talk of Temryin taking the scouts out for a scouting. Looking up at the sky Faux knew there was a few hours left in the day for the scouts to get a pretty good idea of the surrounding area. There was a condescending tone within Tem's voice that Faux had picked up on when he spoke of wolves staying behind and digging holes. No one liked it, but Faux was going to make sure everyone dug their fair share, even the Iota. The Alpha was about to comment on the plan ahead for then he noticed the friendly exchanged between the Iota and his fellow scout. Something within Faux stirred in an awe sort of fashion cross with maybe a bit of jealousy that the other had someone... Venus then crossed his mind once more. Eventually he realized that perhaps he should say something, however, one of the hunters decided it was his place to say something. Turning to Eros Faux was surprised that he'd spoken like this, he had a valid point... it was getting dark and it was unsafe for some. However wolves had great night vision and a lot of animals came out at night, in retrospect night time was ample time to explore, knowing the terrain or not. "Eros, I respect your opinion on this matter, however, Temyrin is the Iota and if he sees the timing fit they scout at this time I trust his judgement." the male spoke, backing up his Iota. After all, he was the leader of the scouts for a reason.

xxxxJ u s t when the Alpha thought the issue was settled, Tem spoke once again. However the sarcasm within his voice made Faux hold a snarl in his throat. Whereas both males indeed had their own opinions and were each right in one way or another Faux chose to stay as neutral as possible. Giving each of the males a look that clearly stated enough, he left it at that. And if one of them were to open their yaps again in "friendly fire" Faux would let out a loud, heavy bark in warning to stop or things will get physical. Not was not the time to fight, for it was the time to band together and work as a team... regardless of ranks, and if this needed to be said aloud, then he will when the time comes. Looking near Whisper, the leader noticed Kade was now among the Iota now. Nodding he approved of her going with her fellow scouts, spending time with them. Soon, a sweet and all too familiar voice stole his attention, opting to stay help and dig the dens. Looking to Venus, Faux smiled, however she looked back to Rinya before seeing him look at her. Frowning very subtly he looked away to a new voice that spoke up, Taski, looking to the hunter he nodded. "I believe we should start on the main den first. I will ask the Hunters to begin on that with myself. Warriors will start on the healers den, along with the pack mates and outsiders if they are able to help. When the scouts get back they can begin the pups den." he spoke to the pack, loudly once again so everyone can hear him. In a perfect world the main den would be dug by; himself, Taski, Velkan, and Eros. Whereas the healers den would be dug by; Haven and Raife... however, this is hoping that Raife can dig with his injuries, because everyone knew Russia was out of commision. Which is also why the Healers Den was to be dug second to first as well. As for Venus, she would probably join Faux's digging group... Iggy and Revan were welcome to join any group as they wished... however if they asked Faux would direct them to where Haven was digging. Even Zraei was welcome to dig but he was old... and he knew he couldn't dig for long periods of time like the rest of them, which was understandable.

xxxxO n c e the delegation was complete he decided he would help pick out the places of where the dens were to be situated. Once everyone started to dig he thanked them for staying to do so. "Thank you for digging, I will be right back to help. I am just going to check on Russia and Raife." he said kindly to those beginning to dig the main den. Trotting off towards his injured wolves he came up to Russia slowly, Raife had already left to help dig. Alright, good. Rubbing his head against the white warrior gently he whined lightly, "I am so proud of you Russia, you displayed a very brave act today and are lucky enough to live to tell the tale. You are a strong warrior and Uktena is blessed to have you. I am glad you are alive, rest well, I will check up on you in a little while." he complimented the white female deeply and sincerely. She truly was amazing and he wasn't going to allow her to think she was anything less, what happened with Fierce was not to be overlooked, in any way, shape or form. Just as he was to walk away from Russia, after giving her ample time to reply to him of course, he noticed a white wolf slink into the forest seemingly unnoticed by anyone else. A smirk spread across his face, what the heck was Venus up to? The same grin remained on his face as he too slinked into the forest after her. Attempting to be swift, yet cunning he kept on her trail as best he could. Several minutes later her rather ample behind was back in his view, enjoying that for a moment he was just about to pounce on her like some cat when he realized he was following... nothing. Within seconds she acted ninja and disappeared on him. Perking his ears he wanted to call out for her but he realized that wasn't the best of ideas for perhaps he still had an option of finding her and scaring her! Standing there he flicked his ears back and forth, side to side, he tried to listen for her light paw steps but nothing was sounding away. Frustration was about to boil in his belly and he set off with his nose to the ground, attempting to trace her steps once more by her scent.

OOC; This post turned out like ten fold better than I had thought it had.

Anouk and Kojak, even Blind Seer will need to be NPC's since we lost two, don't actually interact with them. They can dig wherever.

xxxxxEros had said his peace, believing that he was right in the fact that everyone should dig dens. He honestly believed that the scouts were trying to use something they enjoyed to get out of digging dens. No one else really enjoyed digging dens. Sure he would have rather gone out hunting like Rinya had suggested, but he knew the importance of staying behind and working for the good of the pack. Once he had said what he wanted, he settled down, making sure that Moon Lily was still near to him until Tala was back to herself to take over after his day of pupsitting. If she needed more time, then he was fine just hanging out with the pup, even showing her how to dig. Knowing that she was a pup, perhaps digging would sound like a good idea to her. Personally, he couldn't wait to allow his feet to tear up the earth knowing that their new chapter would be unfolding in what he helped accomplish.

xxxxxHis head moved, hearing that voice once more. But this time, the words were more than a little belittling. Just because Eros wasn't an Iota didn't mean that opinion wasn't worthy of being heard. If being an Iota meant he had to act like an a** to those that weren't scouts, then that was the last thing he'd ever want to be. He narrowed his eyes at Temyrin and tried hard not to growl towards him. The hair along his back raised defensively and it was obvious that he had a few choice words for the other male, but he kept them to himself, especially after feeling the air that seemed to bounce off his alpha up ahead of him. With a quick shake, he allowed his hackles to lay back down, soon sitting once more from his previous standing position. Then, he heard Kade speak up. Turning his head in her direction, he had to admit that he was disappointed in her choice, same with Whisper. In the long run, he didn't care what they did. But if Temyrin ever got sick, he'd make sure the wolf would lay outside of the healer's den instead of being helped within it. If he wasn't going to help dig, then he didn't deserve to ever use them.

xxxxxTo say the last word in all of this, Taski spoke up, followed by Faux, Faux letting them know that once the scouts returned, they'd still dig. A slight smirk lit up his face, but he made sure to keep it hidden and to make sure it left as soon as it came. Instead, he leaned over and licked the top of Moon Lily's head as if to reassure her from his outburst. He was sure that someone she just met becoming heated wasn't what she wanted to deal with. "Let's start digging," he smiled down at the pup, heading over towards the other hunters after Faux had stated that they'd dig along with him for the alpha's den. In a way, he was honored to dig the alpha's den instead of one of the others. Once they were all told what to do and were led where to begin digging, did Eros begin alongside his hunting mates. "Of course Moon Lily the Brave doesn't need to be shown how to dig," he in a way questioned the pup as his claws met the dirt and he was soon kicking up earth behind him. His tail wagged behind him as a proud symbol of his enthusiasm. The male's shaggy fur was soon littered with mud and dark earth. It was a nice feeling and a wonderful smell. To finally be one with the land on which they were living gave the wolf a new hope that helped to ease over the ill feelings of before with the head scout. They all had a new chance here, a new beginning. Whatever was left with the old den site was truly left and there was no going back. Perhaps here new loves would blossom, new pups would be born, and they could all move past the horrible death of their past alphaess.

xxxxxIt didn't take long for the dark brown to stain the wolf's paws along with his muzzle. Eros' once slightly red-toned jaws were now a deep, dark brown and he was sure he looked like a different wolf. He had no idea where the water source was, but would find it tomorrow in good daylight. The male couldn't wait to explore this land and to see what kind of prey it offered. They'd probably go on a hunting mission tomorrow, not necessarily to bring down food, but to see what animals didn't make it out of the smoke and fire. It would be better to scavenge first than to take down all new lives. If they were going to respect the place they lived in, they they were not going to take more lives than what had already been taken. They were fed, but they were fed by the great wolf goddess' hand and were not to be greedy. Every time he went out on hunt, he always thanked the goddess above. Now, his tongue happily lolled from his mouth as he dug, allowing him to taste the ground here near the base of the mountains. They were much closer to the mountains than he ever thought he'd get and the dirt tasted richer here, more of stone and sturdiness. He was excited and thrilled all at the same time of this new find. Lifting his head to look around at his pack mates, he allowed his tail to wag greatly before working again.

xxxxxThe warrior sat patiently through Faux's speech, not taking her eyes off the front of the group as she sat near the back. She never turned her head directly in the direction that those other than Faux spoke, but instead allowed her ears to flick back and forth in their direction. Whenever the conversation obviously became a little heated, she laid her ears back almost in annoyance. There was no place for any of this. In the end, she literally rolled her eyes at it all and was glad whenever the scouts went off on their little adventure and they could all work on the dens. It was like a breath of fresh air whenever all the intensity in the air left. The dark female didn't really care what she did as long as she was helping out her pack mates. She could have escorted the scouts, but no one called for that, so she knew her place to dig. Once they were allowed up and to begin, the female walked past another dark-coated wolf, Revan, and allowed her tail to whack him hard in the face. "You heard the wolf. Warriors are working on the healers den, so let's get going," she remarked. Onyx had an interesting voice, especially for her coat. One might think it it would be deep or even a little rough and scratchy. But it was the opposite. Onyx had a voice like velvet. Back when her sister was alive, the two were considered a very desirable pair. Each had their own very desirable traits, but after Granite's death, Onyx threw herself into her work and became a very valued warrior of the pack.

xxxxxNow, as she looked over Revan's stoic figure, she couldn't help but smirk at him, knowing he'd say something back on her remark of a warrior. She knew good and well that Revan had demoted himself after Granite's death, but he was still a warrior in her eyes and a damn good one. She had heard of what happened with Russia, Raife, and Revan with Fierce from the coyote's band and Onyx was furious with herself that she wasn't in that group. She would have given anything to get a hunk out of that mongrel. But she was glad that Russia was going to be okay and that Revan had gotten her pretty good. She was proud of the dark wolf and she had also always secretly admired him. Letting her tail gently tap him under the chin once more she winked in his direction, not going to let him talk himself down about how he wasn't a warrior anymore. Instead, she walked her way over to where the healers den was going to be and joined up with the other wolves who would be working alongside her. Her gait was a peppy one, for she was always in a happy mood, or at least an upbeat one, which was strange considering that her sister had been murdered by the coyotes. But once it all happened, Onyx had nothing left to do by to try and raise everyone else's spirits. If she could show them that she could move on, she could assist in everyone else's mood. It was something they were all going to have to move past.

xxxxxThe rumor had spread around that Faux would take her as a mate considering that she was sister to the hierarchy, but thankfully Faux didn't think the way that some of the traditionalists did. It wasn't that she didn't like Faux, for she cared deeply for him as a brother, but not so much in a romantic fashion. He was slow to a joke at times and always seemed to be thinking far, far away from the current situation. Besides, she enjoyed him as a brother. They could talk about things that neither of them could talk about to anyone else. And it was nice to have a sibling, especially after both of them had lost theirs. But for a mate, she wanted something in the present, someone with a coat similar to hers... Now, once she had her directions on digging did she begin, sinking her claws deep into the earth, bringing up huge clods of dirt with each scoop. Because she was a warrior, she had a little more muscle than some of the others and she put that muscle to good work. It was a nice way to relieve some frustration and stress from the little confrontation earlier. Once the energy had worn off a little did she slow down to a good speed for digging. She only glanced up a couple of times to see who was digging alongside her and to see if Revan was going to join at her side or not.

xxxxxIt didn't take her long to hear the footfalls of her alpha as he went over and checked on the other warrior. Of course she was going to go check on Russia, for she loved the female to death, but she also knew when the other needed her strength. Whenever she felt a little better, Onyx would go talk her ear off, probably with gossip since Russia was out of the loop while she was healing. Onyx loved gossip and she normally knew everything that was going on in the pack. Some would say that gossip was bad, but it allowed her to keep tabs on everyone and know what was going on, so in Onyx's book, gossip was welcome. Her ears perked back in Faux's direction, for she figured he would be going over toward the alpha's den to dig, but she was wrong. Jerking her head up to look around, the male had disappeared. Sure it was none of her business where the alpha went, for he had ever right to check on other things, but it made her curious. Wasn't he eager to dig dens? With a soft narrowing of her eyes, she scanned the area to see if anyone else was missing and noticed a certain white wolf who had stated she would dig was also gone. Was Faux off with Venus? Perhaps he was going to scold her for going off on her own like she always did. With a shrug, the warrior returned to digging, mulling over this new set of information in her head.

                              Location: new healer's den
Company: other warriors, outsiders, and pack members
                              OOC: Meet Granite's sister!

xxxxC l e a r l y Fierce's announcements weren't as lovey dovey as Faux's were... but it was just who the Tolinka Alpha was. The band knew she cared a lot for them, she just had a different way of showing it. That's all. She was harsh, mean and possibly cruel but those in this band knew that and chose to stay so clearly everyone was okay with who she was, if not... there was a lot of land they could just go ******** off on, Fierce wouldn't stop them... however, she'd also not allow them back on her territory. Once you crossed the line and betrayed the band, you were done. This female was not above holding grudges, as petty as that may sound. In short sentences she paraphrased a long winded announcement of everything that needed to be done within the new territory. Soon, all that was needed was one den, with many branches off of it. Just like the old one and all coyotes knew what to do. The Alpha den and beta den were at the very back, behind the main sleeping quarters, whereas the pup and healers dens were branches off the main den's sides. And of course emergency exits placed strategically without the entire den. It was kind of like a honey bee's honey comb if you will. She knew she wouldn't have to explain this to her band for any coyote within any band knew the rubric of den digging. Yes, it was a lot of work but it needed to be done. Fierce would help, if she were able to. She then explained the fight that took place between she and the wolves. Some here and there seemed angered, some seemed worried, some upset, but no one said a thing. And she liked it that way, if they wanted to ask if she were okay they could do that on their own time in a more personal way rather than in front of the entire band and taking everyone's time.

xxxxA l o t was happening within the area currently but the Alpha's eyes were only on this Aspen character in front of her. Here's not to say she wasn't aware of what was going on around her, she just deemed it waitable situations. However before actually speaking to her sister she turned to Cortez, "See too that rouge with Psosos will you?" she snapped in the Gamma's direction. And perhaps he'd hear the speak about who Cricket really is and such, for Fierce is not completely oblivious to who her father is... however, she was waiting for words to prove her accusations as true. Perhaps her Gamma could get the information out of them, and tell them to tell her or tell her himself. Who knew. But right now her sister was her main attention grabber. Approaching the female cautiously, limping heavily she didn't greet her with open arms... and received a reply she was actually both surprised and impressed with. Fierce's ears flicked forward as her eyes were still locked with Aspen's as she continued to speak to the Alpha. "You're alive? I haven't seen you in years Aspen... then you break through the wood work and just magically find my band. Where have you been? Why didn't you come back sooner?" she spoke to her sister, keeping her voice down. The questions that were just blurted from her mouth were only a third of the questions that were rushing through her mind right now... so many things were clouding her thinking process that she snapped at the ground and then looked back up at her sister. What the hell was going on?

xxxxA break within their conversation occurred as both Brisbane and Kane walked up to her, with submissive, apologetic yet respectful stances, to state that they were going out to mark the borders since she was incapable of doing so. As much as she hated to admit it they were right to do so. Looking at the two, glaring for interrupting, she snarled. "Stay together at all times. Remember my rules. I expect a full report when the two of you return." she gave the orders as quickly as she dismissed them, allowing them to do as they wished, for the band was clearly within their mind. Fierce would remember this when it came to promotions, Brisbane was already up there from the past few day's performance from her... so this was good to observe as well, her initiative that is. Turning back to her sister it was about time she explained her business being there, she listened attentively. "Don't fret Aspen... Yes, times have changed, I took this band by force. Murdered the scum that ran it before me, they murdered every old member in fear they'd fight for their rights. They couldn't kill me however. This is the biggest this band has been in years..." the Alpha spoke with more apparent pride of the band and it's growth than in her self. Then there was speak of her returning home. Whereas Fierce was strong on loyalty... it was different when they grew up. The Alphas of their childhood chased out possibly threats to their throne. Fierce was one of them, she just chose to return sooner. And the difference was... those within her reign... if they were to leave she wouldn't allow them to come back. So this was different right? Yes... it wasn't just her allowing her sister in, nope, not at all. Looking at the female before her she was a bit torn... especially when there was a mention of her losing her kits... "I was an auntie?" she said in both shock and awe, "What happened to them? The kits I mean..." she asked, painfully sitting down for the strength to stand was passing quickly. With real emotion, saddened eyes, she looked at Aspen truely sorry for her loss, she wondered what it would have been like to be an aunt, something like this had never arose to be an actual occurrence so it was hitting her hard... probably harder than she should. In her defence her emotions were flaring because of her immune system fighting hard at the severe wound on her hip and internal bruising along her back.

xxxLain was growing somewhat impatient but he would keep his cool and not allow anything to ruffle his feathers. Oh no. Years of living on his own had hardened him into a solitary creature without the need of others. It was only because this band had decided to use his own as their own personal playground that he felt ticked. Why just last week he was here hunting for rabbits and now these coyotes were mucking it up with their stink. Sighing, Lain casually sat down on his haunches as he surveyed his surroundings. He thought about approaching Psosos but he was talking with that no good of a hunter. Narrowing his eyes Lain shot Akkero a look that the other ignored. Was he part fox or something? What a freak of nature. Lain snickered and then curled his tail around himself. [Fierce] had not looked his way since [Aspen] started up her barking. Well that was all fine and dandy as Lain could sit here and rake his eyes over her. Yes, hmmm…a nice shape. Strong but not too muscular. Lithe yet powerful. And her coat was pretty too, even with the blood stains. She’d have to wash that off soon because that would so not do. No way.

The rogue felt something stirring in his gut at the sight of her. It had been so long since his last run-in with a female. He had had a mate once but she had died birthing his kits. Apparently they were too large and had ruptured her insides. The kits themselves could not survive with mother’s milk though and Lain had watched painfully as each one slipped away into darkness. To go where he could not save nor find them. A few days had passed and Lain eventually had buried each and every kit while leaving the body of his dead mate inside a cave. Then he had lit on out of there and ran until he could not run anymore without looking back. He took over this empty territory and had no use for company again.

So now here he was awaiting his audience with the alpha female. And he would tell his story to no other. Psosos already knew but that little runt (he thought rather fondly) would not yap too much. Besides he seemed terrified of [Fierce] anyway. Yawning, Lain lifted a paw to lick away a bit of dirt before setting it back down. He hoped this wouldn’t take too much longer. He had a bone to pick with these coyotes. Of course another thought occurred to him. He could not use violence to force them out for he was poorly outnumbered. But he did know the ins and outs of the land while they did not. After years of being alone this was a nice change. Perhaps he could worm his way into this merry band if not to torture them from the shadows should they turn him away. Despite his madness, Lain could be useful. He could hunt (better than that red idiot) and he could fight. Not to mention he had control over his emotions and looked at the world with a devil-may-care attitude. Yes, perhaps he could fit in here.

Fighting back a smirk, Kane stared at Rissy. He tried his hardest to not show emotion. Emotions didn't get you far in this band. But he couldn't help the smile that reached his eyes as he looked at Rissy. And as he walked towards Fierce he could her the slight skip to her steps. Guess she wanted to get out and look around just as much as he did. His tail twitched slightly but stopped it once he reached Fierce. He took on an in-disposable wall. He looked at her with courage he was known for. For the moment they were ignored so he kept quiet after his short speech. Fierce was talking to someone who was said quietly, was her sister. He wasn't eavesdropping. He had better since than that. He just couldn't help what made it into his ears to hear. He looked out the corner of his eye as Brisbane stood on the other side of him, making him literally the middle man. When Fierce spoke she was given his full attention. He would never disrespect her. She was to noble a leader. Well out loud at least. He could say things in the safety of his mind when others did not so smart things. Like her and Cortes taking on a couple wolves during the fire. That was just not smart. He nodded his head as she gave her order. "We will return before the moon is at the top of the sky, and the stars are shinning their brightest. And I will be sure you get a full report. I found a small pond, when i found the flowers Shiriki need for you so we will start there with out bordering." Turning, he looked at Brisbane and licked her nose before walking off into the forest where they were hidden.

God was it good to get out. To not have the band closing in around you. He loved it out here. And it was better that Brisbane was with him. He found this thought weird. Cause he never liked going out with others. He liked getting things done alone cause he could do it at his pace and not worry about another's safety. Cause while he would do anything for his band, he'd call saving another a nuisance. But having Brisbane, he felt calm and excited. He liked her presence. He looked back behind him, at Brisbane following right behind him. "I think you'll like this place. Its very beautiful, with tall stocks of white flowers." He smiled slightly and started moving at a fast walk. He really wanted to get there. To show her what he scene. Soon the rest of the band will know of the place but for now. It was his secret place. And he was showing Brisbane. He was sure she'd like it. And she could take in the needed water after the hard trip they just went through. Slowing down he took in a deep breath. The smell of soft crisp water reached his nose. Jumping through a bush he was there. "Brisbane, what do you think?" He looked over at her, a small smirk on his maw and his tail wagging slightly. How could he not be excited for this.

xxxxx Revan continued sitting in the same spot letting his ears turn and flick to listen to the many responses and rebukes among the pack. Eros chimed in after Tem remarked on taking the scouts out to recon. Of course Revan agreed with Eros. The pack needed to stay together and dig dens before nightfall. Being this close to the mountains had it's dangers. One of them was the cold that was associated with the mountains. Of course wolves were well insulated to the cold but night always dropped to below freezing around this time. It was pointless to risk hypothermia with so many injured and exhausted wolves. However, having thought that, the scouts were needed in order to secure the new den site. Strategically, sending the scouts out was a good plan, if only they had more daylight.

xxxxxOf course the scouts rebuked his remarks. They were both valid opinions and a couple of scouts voiced theirs on going out to scout. Of course they wanted out of digging but, hey, who didn't. Revan understood that but it had to be done. And as soon as possible too. They really needed all paws on deck to get it done before dark. Obviously the scouts didn't understand that part too well. Especially Tem.

xxxxxTem's rebuttal caused Revan to lay his ears to the back of his skull. What he sad was childish and rude, at least to Revan it was. There was no point in it and it was entirely out of place and disrespectful. Revan suppressed a growl at Tem, but only barely. Luckily, Faux chimed in and sided with Tem and silenced the small argument. Thank god he did because Revan felt like it was going to get out of hand real quick. Faux also ordered everyone to start digging dens. Well everyone but the scouts until after they finished their job. But on a funny note, Faux had ordered the scouts to digging the pup den. No they weren't getting out of digging. He nodded slightly, satisfied with the meeting.

xxxxxOnce dismissed, Revan stood to his paws and looked to Faux. He wanted to tell Faux that he would accept any job that the Alpha had in mind for him but he had gone off to dig. Revan didn't want to disturb the Alpha in his duties so he decided to hold off on doing that until later. Now Revan looked around to see where everyone was digging and who with. Being a subordinate, he had the freedom to choose which ever he wanted. The main den had more than enough digging it. The pup den would have plenty digging it when the scouts returned. So that left the healers den. Seeing that one of the warriors was out of commission, Revan chose to go there and help them. But before Revan could take a step in that direction, a dark shadow walked passed him and he felt a hard slap to the muzzle. For a split second, Revan had the image of Granite alive and well right in front of him. But he sneezed into the dirt and saw that it was Onyx, Granite's dark coated sister. He heard her pretty voice say that the warriors were digging the healers den and to go there. He heard what she had implied. That he was a warrior and his place to dig was at the healers den. She smiled at him and tapped him under the chin with her tail. It left Revan a little stunned but he quickly gathered himself and followed after her. "Sorry I'm not a warrior. But I will come help since Russia is injured and Raife is still recovering too," Revan rebuked. He walked a little ways behind Onyx, keeping his head low to the ground. Of course he watched her prance in front of him. She was a proud wolf and Revan definitely admired that about her.

xxxxxThey eventually made it and began digging. Revan tore into the dirt beside Onyx and dug at a good speed, matching Onyx beside him. It was fun actually and stress relieving. The whole ordeal they had all been through had stressed Revan to no end. But the idea of digging a new home for them all was refreshing. The new beginning was a bit scary but really exciting. Revan made up his mind at that moment that he would try and put the past behind him and accept his responsibilities to the pack. Revan smiled into the dirt in front of him. Granite would want that of him. He was sure of it. Besides, being a warrior again would feel good and it might give him more chances at those abominable coyotes. Revan paused a moment to take a breath and kinda glanced over at Onyx. He noticed her quickly looking away and going back to digging. Revan turned his head slightly in curiosity wondering what she was looking at.

xxxxxBefore he could think too much into it, Revan heard someone pad over to Russia and began talking with her. It was Faux. Revan wanted to go talk to him and let him know what he had decided about the Alpha's proposal to him but Revan let him talk to Russia and waited for him to finish. However, just when he finished, something caught his attention and Faux padded away, disappearing into the woods after something white. Was that Venus? Revan pondered about that before shrugging and going back to digging beside Onyx, wondering if he would ever get a chance to talk to the ever-busy Alpha.

Lily eyed the rest of the pack. Apparently they didn't respect Eros like they should. He was a smart wolf and wasn't saying stuff to hurt his pack...was he. She looked around a bit confused before looking up at Eros. He seemed a little put off by what the other wolf was saying. She didn't like seeing him so upset. She licked his leg before looking over at Faux. He was so smart and regal. Everyone seemed to hush as he spoke. Lily's tail wagged slightly as she tried to figure out what he was saying. While, yes, she was a literate pup now and could speak her mind it was still hard to comprehend what one was saying. Especially, when you were picking up on the speech of an alpha. The way he worded things had her tilting her head trying to figured out what was going on. She figured out it had to do with digging. Which she was all up for. She loved digging. What pup didn't enjoy digging. She looked around watching everyone, as they got up and went their separate ways. Some heading off into the forest, some heading to different areas of their new den site digging in the soil. She smiled slightly as she felt Eros lick the top of her head before walking off. "I can dig just fine!" She exclaimed excited before running after Eros. Faux led the way showing where he wanted dens placed. She looked around as the different groups began to dig.

She walked behind Eros watching the other pack members. They all seemed very focused on their jobs. Standing close to Eros, she didn't notice he started digging till she got a face full of dirt. She squinted her eyes and turned away. Her already dirty white coat getting a light coating of dark brown earth. She huffed and jumped out of the way, before sneezing. "I need a bath" she pouted before looking towards Eros. He was really focused on digging and she didn't want to really get in the way. Looking around she thought it best for her to find something to entertain herself. Spotting some sticks she wagged her tail and ran over to them. Digging holes gone form her mind she proceeded to pounce and chew at the stick she had claimed her prey. When the pack was done and Eros and Taski said it was time to go to bed she'd come back and sleep. For now, it was best for her to sit aside and entertain herself.

ᴍᴏᴏᴅannoyed and worried ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴsomewhere in the forest ᴡɪᴛʜmost of the band ᴛʜɪɴᴋɪɴɢ"who the hell are you rouge?."

Standing over his alpha fae, Cortes had watched her slip into sleep and then he began his watch stand guard over her as the other band members did their own things. All that filled his mind was worry for Fierce. If this wound killed her, the band would be left to him alone, and he did not want that. He wanted to be by her side no matter what. Looking up from his alphess, he watched the other band members, as gamma he needed to do that at least, as Fierce was not able to watch her kin. From where he sat on his rump next to his alphaess, Cortes kept his golden eyes on the band around him, seeing Brisbane and Shiriki return from what he later learned to be trying to convinced Sayen to return to the band. But apparently the young coyote had had enough of this life and decided to leave her family and band. THis had come to no surprise to the red coyote brute. The young fae had been weak and was not the sort to follow their alpha. Cortes had never liked her and was sure one day he would have snapped at her or run her from Fierce's band. Nervously, the gamma male sat by his alpha for what seemed like an eternity. He hoped she would awaken soon, he would try to be a leader in her absence, but Fierce was far better at instructing the band members as he was only a large brute at threatened their lives on a daily basis. But the brute did not show his emotions as she stood guard over the sleeping alphaess. His gold eyes filtered over the other coyotes as they rested, spoke with one another or left the area temporarily. When Fierce finally opened her eyes, her tongue lashing around along her lips to wet her nose and mouth, Cortes held back a sigh of relief.

Cortes lowered his head in respect as she painfully tried to stand. He would have offered help, but he know better than to offer help to Fierce. She would snap her jaws at him and snarl. So he kept his maw shut as he stood as well. The wounds on his back stung lightly as he moved to stand just behind the alpha fae. Movement stretched and pulled the torn skin on his hackles. But he paid the pain no mind as he kept his golden eyes on Fierce. She was in a lot of pain, this close to her he could tell, but she would not show this weakness to her band, he knew that well enough. She she limped out of the make shift den, the beat male kept close to her side, though slightly behind to show his lower rank. His ears were pinned back as he held back an absurd desire to aid her. She was a capable fae, and he knew better than to try and step in on her pride. Though Cortes also knew that Fierce would never ask for help. Even as he dragged from from the burning forest she had snarl and bit at him, not wanting his help, though knowing she needed it to stay alive. He could still feel her teeth deep in his fur and skin. That was probably the closest they has ever been physically. Shaking the thought from his mind, the large brute stood just to the side of his alphaess as she addressed their band. She started off with her normal sassy and nearly cruel self as she spoke to the others. But that was something Cortes liked about Fierce. Licking his black nose he listened as she recited the horrific events of the past, telling them all where and how she was hurt. When she mentioned that with out him, she would be dead, Cortes blinked slowly, but gave no other sign that he registered her comment.

The red-ish coyote brute looked to his alpha as she said that they would need to lay low. He agreed after the day before, but his pride was still bruised and he wanted to kill this black brute that had maimed and practically crippled his alphaess. That cowardly brute would die by Cortes' jaws, even if it was the last thing the gamma did. He would avenge Fierce's pain and her leg if she lost it, or her life if Skiriki failed. Cortes wanted to snarl as his eyes darted around the band, landing on his cousin, the char male. The pale coyote brute had better keep their alphaess alive and try his best to keep her leg in tact. A three legged coyote would die just the same as if the wound itself would do. But a few faces caught the brutes eyes as he turned away from his cousin. Psosos seemed to have returned. Interesting. Cortes eyed the other male, wondering where he had gone and why he was back now. Then a new face [Lain] pulled the gamma male away. Who was this and why was this male here. Cortes wanted to challege this new comer, and by instinct he stood and a paw stepped forward, but he held himself in check as Fierce spoke again. She voiced the same thoughts that had been in his mind, but her words held higher respect in this band than he. But Fierce was soon distracted by her sister, had she not noted the fae before when she had come to the band? His alphaess seemed to be more concerned with her sister now than this new brute among them, but Cortes was not. He had already tossed back and forth insults with the new fae, but this male here was fresh and new to Cortes' eyes and nose. He kept his keen gold eyes on this new coyote, his tail high in a dominate fashion. When his alphaess looked away from her b*tchy sister to him, Cortes spared her a glance. She ordered for him to see to the rouge. Good.

Lowing his head in respect and agreement, the gamma male looked past her to the others that were asking to go on and potrol their new lands until Fierce could come in and make her marks on it. This was her job, dealing with these wordy rats. Cortes wrinkled his nose and turned away from his alpha and leveled his gold eyes on this new comer. "You, rouge, where do you come from?" His words were harsh, and made harsher by his raw throat that had been burned by fire and smoke.Tail high and his hackles raised, the gamma male lifted a lip in a threat if a snarl. He stalked forward, his over sized coyote body standing tall over all the others in the band. He noted the other brute's eyes raking over Fierce and that was another step in the direction of his hatred this brute had taken. Stepping between the sitting brute and his sight of the alpha fae, Cortes gave a silent snarl. Fangs showing and an anger bubbling in his gut, the gamma male stepped forward and snapped his jaws that the rouge. "I'll say it once more before I rip your throat out, you runt. WHO. ARE. YOU." The large coyote finished his sentence with a growl, his fangs centimeters from the rouge's nose. With all the aggravation and weariness he felt, he begged for this brute to do just one thing, one thing wrong so Cortes could pounce on him and dig his teeth into the other's neck.

RAWRBane stood quietly through the exchange, too tired from the day's trials to even want to try and speak to their alpha. Sure she had rested a bit, but she had preferred to rest just a bit longer than that. However, Kane had the right idea. They did need to scout the area to get a feel for their new home. She waited patiently as the Fierce told them she expected a full report when we came back. Her mind went blank as she stared ahead. Her eyes gained a far away look and the world got slightly blurry as she stared at Fierce, just spacing out completely. Kane brought her mind back to earth by licking her nose and walking off into the forest. She didn't spare a glance back towards the band as she loped after the male coyote. Brisbane easily caught up with the male and was quick to fall in step as he lead the way.

RAWRThe blonde coyote noted that her band member seemed to relax a bit more and slip out of his stiff self. So, she wasn't the the only one that turned almost to more professional like stance around the rest of the members. Bane hadn't really put much thought into the other members but she supposed that surely if she did it than perhaps others did it too. Seeing Kane let loose a little made her relax a bit too. She found that spark of energy that she'd had when Kane asked her to go with him. She took the extra energy to speed ahead a bit to go off the course the her fellow band mate seemed to have just so she could speed up and jump over things and generally feel the feeling of being alive and not burned to a crisp. She'd fallen in step with him once more when he spoke to her. Her ears perked up as he spoke of a place she might like. Instantly her curious took hold of her and she stopped her playful prancing and stuck by his side, eager to see what he wished to show her.

RAWRBrisbane entered the area just as he'd asked her what she thought about the area. Her body stopped as her front half emerged from the tangle of leaves and branches. She let her yellow eyes go from one side of the pond to the other side until they finally landed on Kane"It's amazing!" She in a quite voice, as if she didn't want to disturb the area. The fae walked forward, nose to the air as she started sniffing. The air was clean, something she had been taking for granted all her life until she, like the others, were trapped in the fire. When Bane reached the edge of the pond she took a deep breath, held it for a few seconds, and then released it. She turned to look over her shoulder to kane with a grin as her tail took up a wag. "Well, I don't know about you, but I'm ready to try and rid myself of the smokey scent. I've had just about enough of that. I hope none of us ever has to smell it again." She said, a little louder yet still quite. The coyote turned back to the water and began to wade out into it until it was just barely touching her belly. Leaning forward she lapped at the water until she'd made her stomach complain about the amount of water she'd just put in it. Ignoring it, she began to leap in the water until she was swimming in it.

RAWRShe didn't go out to far, just swam a few paces and turned back around and swam until she was walking and then stopped when it was at her knees. She shook out her fur and found she was much more refreshed. "I feel tons better now!" She said with a sigh. She leaped towards Kane and, fur still dripping wet, reared up on her back legs so that she could lay her font legs limp on his upper back and shoulders. Bane leaned her head forward in a way to nuzzle her head against his neck, nearly against the back of his head. It was more of a small shove with her snout into his fur. Feeling playful she tugged the fur their playfully before she slid off and ran into the water again, just enough for her paws to splash. She lowered her front half into the water and her tail curled in the air as she yipped at him. "Come on! No one else is around, come play in the water! I won't tell so long as you won't." She grinned in an almost daring way.

[coolor=white]RAWR Cricket listened to the sitter, though her eyes were darting everywhere. She was loosing her attention span again. Her sluggish mind was returning. After all, a young coyote needed lots of sleep and it happened that her prime napping hours were interrupted by a fire. However, hearing the compliments she straightened herself up. She did not mind being called small, because she knew that in a coyote's world it paid off for being small. The smaller she was the easier it would be to scurry off somewhere quickly and dart away from from an enemy. She listened as he stumbled over his words and she found herself on a new mission to make this strange and awkward coyote to be more brave. After that the conversation turned to a more boring subject, at least to her. Er well, it had an ongoing conversation, she just happened to be interrupting them. She settled back against her father's leg and yawned widely. She didn't bother listening, though certain words did jump out. She turned her eyes to the band. From this distance she wasn't able to see much and hear even less, but she manage to see two shapes disappearing into the forest. Hearing Aspen's name, she turned back to the adults.

RAWRHowever before she could say a word she heard some yipping from the band, like some coyotes were irritated. She didn't exactly hear what, but it made her uncomfortable. Cricket didn't want to show she was afraid, so she tried not to become too attached to her father's leg....but it just kind of happened. If she could she might have just merged into it. She wondered briefly what would happen if Fierce wouldn't let Aspen stay. And then she it finally hit her that Fierce may not let her stay. Having been oblivious to most of the conversation, Kit looked up to her father with a worried look. "Akkero....what if she doesn't let us stay?" She didn't say more, but her fears were all over her face. Cricket didn't want to leave! She would never admit it, but she was afraid of the world. Before recently, she'd never even left her den! Her first memories of leaving the den and it was a raging forest fire. She wasn't sure if Aspen would stay with her and take care of her. As much as she wanted that comfort, she was also reluctant for reasons she couldn't quite explain. All she wanted was her father. Despite that fact she'd just met him, he was her blood and seemed to being looking out for what was best for her. And now she had another blood relative, someone who could teach her about her mother, to help her remember the fae.

RAWR Aspen's body stance was lazy and relaxed, but she had fixed a death glare on her sister that definitely spoke louder than words. While she would never actually seriously injure her sister to the point of death, she liked to thinks she was that tough. Penny was not capable of killing her own flesh and blood, no matter how hateful her thoughts might be or how vengeful she may feel. Her ears fell and she let out a yip of irritation. "Of course I'm alive! You still think that lowly of me? I'm not a runt anymore! I didn't come back because I had a band that needed me. They wanted me." She growled, her lips crinkling but yet only showing the tips of her fangs. Only Fierce could ever rile her up this quickly. The band around them was forgotten in her mind, she only saw her sister. Even Cortes' loud words didn't distract her. Her snarling continued as she spoke. "I had a mate." She may have been angry at Fierce but it could also be that she was so angry at the recent events of loosing her kits and having old emotions coming to the surface that really had her so angry and mean. She'd been too exhausted and really grieve for her kits. Exhaustion and just too many things at once happening. She hadn't had time to think about it and when she didn't think about it, it had seemed that they weren't dead at all. But now that she was saying it aloud, it was like a confirmation that she'd never see them again. Never have them cuddle up to her.

That only made her heart ache. Not the thought of loosing the band, after all she could have gone back to them. She could have grieved about her kits with them. But Aspen could not bring herself to show up without her kits. To go to the only mate she'd ever had and confirm what he'd already told her had happened. And really she hadn't intended to run into the Tolinka band. Aspen had been fighting with the instinct to run and the instinct of protecting her kits. A mother's bond is strong and she just couldn't accept that. By the time the instinct to run came to her it was too late and that's when she fell in a heap in front of Akkero and the lovely kit that was oh so close to her litter's age. With those thoughts swarming her head she steeled herself and said, "I did not want to come back. I did not plan on it.The only reason I did was --" Her rush of emotions came to a halt as two coyotes came by stating that they were going out. Aspen took a breather, trying to calm herself down. She closed her eyes as she breathed in deeply. When she exhaled she opened her eyes just in time to meet Fierce's as she spoke of things really had changed. She wasn't sure how she felt about Fierce killing them all. It unsettled her but also made her have a rush of pleasure that disturbed her even more. She wanted to think that those awful coyotes deserved it, but that death reminded her of her recent deaths around her and made Aspen wonder if they really did deserve such a thing.

Her anger switched to sadness as her sister realized she'd been an aunt. The sudden mood change in her sister reflected in Aspen as well. She was by no means done being angry with the world and everyone in it, she now had no one spitting out rough words to her. Words that didn't exactly intend to cause harm or trigger anger, but did anyways. Aspen hard look melted a little as her depression set in once more. Her eyes were trained on her sister even as she sat. Aspen hadn't wanted to go into any details, as the images of leaving her band and the sight of the kits in the den were still very fresh in her mind, but luckily it would only take two words to hopefully satisfy the alpha."The fire." Aspen quietly said, so much emotions were in those words that it would be unclear exactly which ones but those of pain. "It's taken everything from us, hasn't it sister?" Aspen wasn't stupid, they had to have lost a member or two from it. She knew for a fact they had lost their home. And she knew somewhere nearby there was a kit without a mother because of it.
