[coolor=white]RAWR Cricket listened to the sitter, though her eyes were darting everywhere. She was loosing her attention span again. Her sluggish mind was returning. After all, a young coyote needed lots of sleep and it happened that her prime napping hours were interrupted by a fire. However, hearing the compliments she straightened herself up. She did not mind being called small, because she knew that in a coyote's world it paid off for being small. The smaller she was the easier it would be to scurry off somewhere quickly and dart away from from an enemy. She listened as he stumbled over his words and she found herself on a new mission to make this strange and awkward coyote to be more brave. After that the conversation turned to a more boring subject, at least to her. Er well, it had an ongoing conversation, she just happened to be interrupting them. She settled back against her father's leg and yawned widely. She didn't bother listening, though certain words did jump out. She turned her eyes to the band. From this distance she wasn't able to see much and hear even less, but she manage to see two shapes disappearing into the forest. Hearing Aspen's name, she turned back to the adults.
RAWRHowever before she could say a word she heard some yipping from the band, like some coyotes were irritated. She didn't exactly hear what, but it made her uncomfortable. Cricket didn't want to show she was afraid, so she tried not to become too attached to her father's leg....but it just kind of happened. If she could she might have just merged into it. She wondered briefly what would happen if Fierce wouldn't let Aspen stay. And then she it finally hit her that Fierce may not let her stay. Having been oblivious to most of the conversation, Kit looked up to her father with a worried look. "Akkero....what if she doesn't let us stay?" She didn't say more, but her fears were all over her face. Cricket didn't want to leave! She would never admit it, but she was afraid of the world. Before recently, she'd never even left her den! Her first memories of leaving the den and it was a raging forest fire. She wasn't sure if Aspen would stay with her and take care of her. As much as she wanted that comfort, she was also reluctant for reasons she couldn't quite explain. All she wanted was her father. Despite that fact she'd just met him, he was her blood and seemed to being looking out for what was best for her. And now she had another blood relative, someone who could teach her about her mother, to help her remember the fae.
