I actually was just working on Marzin (guy to the left ) base color and shading. I had to go back to the way i /was/ shading via how I do it now which is much less time consuming!

Which I totally just realized I left this file on my work computer. DANG =w=

I would have loved to watch more eyes than anything else cat_3nodding

It told me to study eyes, noses and mouths so I took it literally just in case. <.< >.> The eyes were a quick test to see how i liked drawing them on the iPad vs traditionally. Turns out, I'd still rather do that with real colored pencil. It's faster. XD; I was surprised. I also likely just haven't found the right brush yet. (Sooo I didn't finish those eyes.)

Theme: Spirit Challenge: Part 2 (Tutorials)

Comments: Thank you, everyone, for the opportunity to butcher all of your tutorials! XD; I'll need to spend more time on each on some other days to play a little more with them.
I started out following the head shot that Karma explained. I used a rounded brush instead of a tapered so that's one of the many reasons why it differs so much. I then used Chii's method to locate the location for the (very simple) horn, line it and duplicate it. Next up was Quadropopilous's method of coloring but XD; I couldn't get that initial gradient I laid down to play well with the shading I was adding... along with just needing more practice with that method. Next up was Mr Hitsuji's method of coloring eyes, buuuut my eyes were pretty wide so it's all stretched out. XD; Then enter wingzofdarkness's method of editing dull images to try to save it a little. ;D The blur realllly changed the skin tones that I used so I had to make that layer pretty darn transparent.



Also; I've had a busy few days and it still continues! > o< I hope to reply to posts tomorrow. We'll see. x -x;;; But now, I've gotta get a bit of sleep. OTL

Ooh, I've actually never used this editing effect for bust drawings but this looks interesting!
The gradient effect you used is a nice touch to the coloring and drawing : D

Yeah XD; it did help save it, so thanks. ;D I like to play with blur and focus on drawings too... but also usually not on bust drawings. <.<;;; This one was definitely too simple for it, but the rest of the tricks helped. XD;;
