I swear Kari called T.K a flirt, iirc it was because he offers to let Meiko call him by his first name. This was a singular instance, and it may have only been a joke. Alternatively, it may have been when she is introduced and maybe he offers to show her around. But I think that one was Tai or Mimi..of course it is possible that I imagined the whole thing. Fake memories are a thing, it is also possible that I am remembering something from the fan-abridged version, because I have seen both official channels and 'most' of it in English with a side of abridged series for the laughs. I saw most of the English version through my library card back before i moved because there was a thing..can't remember what it's called. However, I do agree that they were trying to ship Tai and Meiko hard. Mimi also encouraged them, though I don't feel like her help lead to anything. She also nudges Sora, but for whatever reason the representation of love can never admit/figure out her true feelings. Which may also be just to tease us as fans and allow the shipfest.

Takari has merit. If nothing else, we know for (mostly) a fact that Davis was jealous of their friendship. I will admit, that he was an angry teenage boy who appeared to believe that males and females cannot be friends. I headcannoned that Takeru was merely speaking up for Kari when they would fight, because he believes Hikari is a strong independent woman. It is also possible that the writers simply had them fighting all the time because they wanted a parallel to Matt V.S Tai, the majority of the actual conflict having nothing to do with Kari but being driven by deeper psychological feelings using Kari as a scapegoat. I like to think there was, and is still something there. However, the biggest issue with anything from 02, especially involving Takeru, is that the whole thing is strongly implied-if not outright stated- to have been told by T.K. So it is entirely plausible that their fights were not even that serious, he could have just imagined many things. Whenever a first-third person combo perspective story is told, there are many things we do not see or are told in such a way that it makes each person look either more extreme or more tame depending on what they believe about people and believe about themselves.

cat_sweatdrop . I'm actually partial to WillisxKari. Somehow, he was cuter than T.K. Later, I also head-cannoned that his two matching digimon could fuse into something far above Omegamon/Lucemon+ mode that ascended anything we have ever seen, but that's just a random thing I imagined.

P.S. I am totally going to try to respond to one of your posts if you decide to WG a digimon character again. Whether it's Mimi, Kari, or you ever repeat Yolei, I want to steal at least one interaction.
Not going to stalk the posts, but I will eat one if I get the chance. =p

Np! I think I would remember a conversation about digimon, though, a year down the line I might have randomly posted on your wall to ask who you are or why we had this convo, forgetting I started it. So, thank you for being appreciative. xD..I was okayish with Meiko existing, but the connections they tried to make were forced. I think Kairi insinuates T.K. was hitting on Meiko at one point as a joke?...Which, makes you wonder why they didn't work out or if they ever actually tried to date. @_@ Memory is fuzzy as to whether they had an actual relationship or if that was only my head cannon because Davis was a smug bitter jelly guy. Though I could totally see why Davis and Kairi would not have worked out. The only pro for Meiko I can think of is that her relationship with Mimi made perfect sense. Not that it helped make anyone care for Meiko as a character when we all know Mimi would have done that with anybody anyways, like, that part could have been replaced by an unimportant side character.

-And np about the "assuming gender" thing, I don't understand why that triggers people in the way that calling Ed from FMA short triggers him. I kind of understand the people who get mad when they have signs or siggies telling people specifically of pronouns, because at least they specify and can be mad about someone not reading as opposed to the principle/concept. For me, the thing that triggers me is the age concept. "You are too young to know about___" ...because a large number of times, if someone doesn't know about something it is actually because it is not within the reign of their interests, rather than the number representing how long they have lived.

crying I was so angsty over the fact Digimon tri overfocuses on the 1st series characters. Yolei was probably my 2nd favorite girl..did it bother you any? Er. Have you seen any of them yet? I don't wanna spoil anything but the absence of them is a large complaint for many, I think.I do like what they did with Izzy and Joe.. xD Though I do have a lot of mixed feelings about most things.

Many thanks! "Steel sharpens steel" as they say and your telling me this inspires me, as well. Truth be told, my folks don't support me on this either, but if I can find a viable alternative to my current career and get it off the ground, then I stand a much better chance of my life not being wrecked and miserable.

Also, one thing a colleague told me was: "People go on and on about saving lives, but it's okay if you save only one, and it's okay if that life is your own." I wish you the very best in your endeavor and hope the results make your life that much better!
