Book of Shadows-Part Three: Magical Creatures G-L
NOTE: A Book of Shadows is a book that witch's and wizards make that tells all about different magical creatures and demons, and has spells in it. It is passed on from generation to generation, and this is what Trip has written in his so far. This is a list of the many creatures that Trip has seen, or heard about.

NOTE: Here is a list of what the colors mean:
Green is for the civil and intelligent, Human-Like beings
Red is for the Beasts
Blue is for the Normal Creatures and/or the shapeshifters.

Gargoyle: Gargoyles are statues that are places in front of temples or churches to ward off evil spirits. This only works during the day though. You see, when it turns night, the Gargoyles come to life. Yes, they could gaurd the place they were supposed to, but usually, they either wreak havic, or just explores the land. They have to be sure to be back to their post before sun up, because they will turn to stone.

Garuda: A Garuda is a giant bird like creature that has a white face, a golden body, red wings and an eagle's beak. Garuda have the rest of thier features of a man, and are sometimes considered Gods.

Ghost: A Ghost is a spirit of a person that has died, and have stayed on Earth because they have something left to complete before they go to the afterlife. Some Ghosts look like they did when they died, and others take various forms. They are usually transparant.

Ghoul: A Ghoul is a monster that lives in graveyards, and haunts those who come near it. They are also seen in deserts, and can even shapeshift into different forms.

Gnome: A Gnome is a small creature that resembles human beings. They are able to move through the dirt of the Earth as fast as a human could walk on top of it. They will turn to stone if they are hit by the sun's rays, but sometimes, they speand their time in the sun as toads insteadm so they won't turn to stone.

Goblin: A Goblin is a groteaque little creature that enjoys nothing more than bothering people and causing mischief. There are many different kinds of Goblin. Some look like animals, and some appear to be very small, even invisible to the human eye.

Griffin: A Griffin is a Greek creature that has the front legs and head of a giant eagle, and the body and hinds legs of a lion. They can fly with their eagle wings, and can be flown on, and are used to gaurd treasure.

Gorgon: A Gorgon looks like a woman, except for the fact that they are green, scaley, and have a venemous snakes for hair. Gorgons are very mean, and don't care who they harm, and they harm someone every time they look into someone's eyes. You see, if you see a Gorgon's eyes, you will be permanantly turned to stone.

Grindylow: A Grindylow is a small greenish water-demon that is said to hide in the seaweed, and coral until they saw a person swimming above. Then they would swim up, and grab them by there legs and pull them down into the depths of the ocean, and devour them.

Hag: A Hag is a person who practices evil witchcraft, and specializes in potions. They are usually very ugly, and appear as what the steriotypical Witch. They are usually mean, and only care for themselves while practicing the dark arts.

Hamadryad: A Hamadryad is a species of Dryad that live in trees are their spirit gaurdians. They can leave the tree, but not go too far. If their respective tree were to say get chopped down, then the Hamadryad would die in the same manor of speaking.

Harpy: A Harpy is a Greek creature that appears as a beautiful woman with wings for arms, and the legs of a bird. They swoop down, and steal food before it can be eaten, or do something even worse, and poison or defile the food so it will sicken or kill the eaters.

Hellhound: A Hellhound is a three-headed dog that roams the world, and originate in Hell. They come up, and sometimes breed on Earth, leaving their babies to wreak havoc. They can be tamed like a real dog, but they are very large at full-grown size, and are always dangerous, even if it is to the slightest bit.

Hippocampus: A Hippocampus is another Greek creature that head and forequarters of a Horse, and the Tail and hindquarters of a giant fish. They are undewater creatures, and Merepeople sometimes capture them, and domesticate them for riding.

Hippogriff: A Hippogriff is a flying creature that has the wings and head of a giant Eagle, and the body of a Horse. They are very agressive, and will only allow you to approach if you can get them to belive in trusting you.

Hobgoblin: These wild and vicious creatures roam woods, in their brown clothes and hairy bodies. They are almost exactly like a normal Goblin, only a deffinate species. They are usually small, and ugly.

Human: Humans are the basic creature of worlds. They are the mid point of all magic. They do not possess any powers or abilities that they are born with, but can perform crafts of basic magic. Humans can perform witchcraft and and wizardry, but only the basic hexes, curses, traces, and potions. They can we turned into demons or angels after death.

Hydra: A Hydra is a water-dwealling creature that has many heads. They are born with one head, but their heads get chopped off or fall off throughout life, and every time one comes off, two more come in its place. They have poisonous breath, and razor sharp claws and teeth.

Ifrit: An Ifrit is a spirit creature that embodies fire. This race believes that they are superior to all other races because they believe that they "Came First". Because people have learned to control them with summons and spells, they resent them. They don't think that they should be on command for "Simple Humans".

Imp: An Imp is another large-raced creature. You see, Imps look like many things, and usually work for an evil source, even the Devil, in doing their dirty work like minions. Some can shapeshift, but they are usually just short and very mischiouvous.

Incubus: An Incubus is a male Demon who sings for women to come to him. Then, he tricks them into falling in love with them with the song, and when they love him, he sucks out their souls, and leaves them for dead.

Kappa: A Kappa is a Japanese Water Demon that stays in shallow pools of water, and apears like a scaley monkey. They have a hollow hole in the top of their head that has water in it. The water is the source of its strength, and if you get it to bow, the water will leak out, and it will weaken tremendously.

Kraken: A Kappa is a Sea Monster that attacks ships and pulls them under into the depths of the ocean. They almost appear to be giant Octapi and are not to be messed with. These are vicious, and are hard to defeat.

Leprechaun: A Leprechaun is a short Irish creature that looks human, all except for its size. They go around with pots of gold, and distribute luck, good or bad, to people who deserve it. They travel on rainbows that they say are always in the sky, but the rain allows us to see them.
