Fingers at 80%
Last month my fingers had a date with an electric hedge trimmer and it did not end well. Luckily after a few stitches and some time to heal, my fingers are mostly healed. Thank you for all your kind wishes throughout the month. I appreciate it.

Seeing my fingers heal really shows how fast time flies. It felt like yesterday where I had to wrap my hand in a plastic bag when I took showers, and I had to replace the dressing on my fingers every night. Before you know it, the stitches are off and I only need a bandage to cover up the wound every day. I made a mistake where I put too much antibiotic ointment on every day, and that caused my wound to react (who knew?), but other than that, the wounds had completely sealed up and I can go about my daily lives. I still can't put pressure on the wounds, and I can't stretch my fingers completely straight just yet, but I hope that as the scabs get pushed out, I can gain some flexibility on my fingers again. I miss not being able to do archery and shooting sports.

Last month at Gaia it was business as usual with the mobile app development. We are adding runway on mobile so that everyone can share avatars, favorite, vote, and earn platinum along the way, as well as adding messaging features so that we can better talk to each other while on the go.

Though development will be slower this month as I will be out of the country most of the time. My brother in law is getting married in Singapore and Malaysia. The bride and groom lives on neighboring countries so they decided ot held two weddings. I'm very much looking forward to eating some authentic Malaysian food. 2 days after I return from Malaysia, my younger brother is getting married in Vancouver, Canada so I'll be back home for the rest of the month. I'm bringing my laptop along with the hopes that I can slip in a few hours of work here and there, but as these things go, it's going to be a challenge to find the uninterrupted free time during a trip.

So, apologies in advance for being less responsive. We started working on the summer event and we will wrap it up as soon as I return on July 1st.

PS - I saw Dark Phoenix yesterday night. It's not as bad as the last movie but let's just say that I'm glad Disney/Marvel took back the franchise. smile If you're planning on a movie night, check out Book Smart, I highly recommend it.

Yikes! I hope that your fingers heal pretty soon, having to miss out on your favorite hobbies can't be fun.
I just downloaded the Gaia app, and it seems more smoother then the last one, as in it's less stressful to use. But that's just my opinion. I was also wondering if the app will allow us to purchase in the marketplace, I don't see it, but it would be something to look forward to. heart will Gaia be at Anime-expo this year? whee

Runway and messaging are the two features I look forward to most on the mobile app so I’m glad you’re tackling those next.

Happy to hear your hand is healing and happy travels! ✈️

Whoop! I'm always excited when I hear about people coming over to Malaysia! Be prepared for the heat and generally crazy weather though - the heat comes in waves, but it's the rain that you've got to look out for! It's been insane lately.

The best way you'll be able to gain some real Malaysian food experience is by checking out hawker centres (which are like food courts) and night markets! They are always vibrant and full of life, so you'll definitely be able to get the whole Malaysian package of food and fun! A few must-tries, though, are: satay (marinated meat on a stick and barbecued), nasi lemak (traditionally coconut rice with either fried chicken or chicken with spices and eggs and chilli), cendol (ice with dessert on top), ais kacang (red bean on shaved ice, also a dessert). There are loads more but I would be stretching the page too much!

Most importantly, do have a great time in Malaysia and enjoy yourself! emotion_yatta
