Mt. Nebo is really just a hill
but silly southerners who have no idea what mountains are,
call it a mountain.
Mt. Nebo greets me in the mornings
with shades of purple and blue
a soft mist accompanying it.
and then it welcomes my return in the afternoons
once again brown and dull in the distance
looking over farmland
houses few and far between
Mt Nebo is not the only one,
it has friends of the same size around it,
yet Mt. Nebo is the only one with a name
why is it special?
Are the other
Mountains
jealous?
Does Mt. Nebo feel guilty,
proud?
What is it to have a name?
