(As I copy-paste this here from my word-processor, I noticed I lost most of my spacing, font and italicized text. Also, this is a first-draft, with many changes still needing to be made. I place it her for Alucin's benefit, so he can use it as a launching point for his story.)

Chapter 1: Witch Hunt
Kain's notes: Whilst I originally planned to have this open on Kain's journey to the village near Ba'al's temple, I lost that original draft, and have yet to rewrite it. In the meantime, I was flooded with inspiration, and decided to press on, adding that portion in later. This is the last third of the first chapter, and the start of the second. I place it here simply for feedback. Note, this is of a fairly adult nature, and, needless to say, NSFW.

"Damn."
Kain lowered his blade, the b*****d sword coated with black orcish ichor, and his own red blood, with flecks of blue showing where his blood had degraded back into base protoplasm. Blood poured from his chest, cut nearly to the bone. A slash had been opened above his left eye, ironically directly over the scar he recieved from his brother, years ago during a sparring session.
As the remaining orcs advanced, Kain took a unstable step back, remembering back to his youth, his "mother" enthusiastically singing the praises of the advanced technology she had poured into the "elegant" H.E.D. system. It was currently elegantly displaying how screwed he was.
Warning: Genetic stability dangerously low.
Protoplasm stability at 35% and dropping.
Blood pressure low. Vital signs are dropping.
Emergency! Organ failure emminent!
"Great."
After discovering the "witch" he was supposed to hunt was a badly hurt young girl, Kain couldn't bring himself to kill her, nor could he leave her in the Temple of Ba'al where he had found her. Bringing her along had seemed a fine idea at the time, until the orcs had found his trail. Having killed one of their high chieftains a few seasons back, it seemed that they held a bit of a grudge.
"Kain?" Sachi voice called from behind him, her voice a nearly inaudible whisper. Wrapped in his cloak, she seemed even smaller than her emaciated frame would have normally. "Just leave me."
The orcs drew closer, drawing the metaphorical noose tighter. Surrounded, with their backs literally to a cliff. "Not likely," Kain stated, glancing back at the titan-haired girl huddled behind him. "Besides, where am I supposed to run to? Off the cliff? That's a good thirty, forty foot fall."
"Please... I'm not worth it."
Kain raised his sword in time to parry a heavy axe blow from above, then, pivoting on his heel, shoved his shoulder into the orc's badly cured leather curiass, raising his blade over his shoulders to block a blow from behind that would've seperated his head from his shoulders.
"Honestly, I think they're more interested in me," Kain said, panting from the short skirmish, the block he had performed also further opening the wound on his chest. The four orcs, normally not a threat, advanced cautiously, a feint here, and stab there, trying to get past the young Terraderm's defenses.

Kain only blamed himself. The orcs had found them while they had been following the path. Instead of leaving Sachi behind, hoping the orcs would follow him, he had ran with her until, exhausted, she hadn't been able to run any further. Forced to make a stand here, near the Winged-Elven city of Winlang, the cliffs below ended in jagged rocks, and white-foamed surf, then palace of the Winged Elves across the dark bay waters.
Sachi knew how Kain felt; she had always been able to pick up emotions fairly easily, and actual surface thoughts with time. A "gift" from her mother, she had assumed, along with her elongated ears, brilliant red hair, and the strange circuit pattern on her skin. She knew he blamed himself for this situation, while she knew if it weren't for her, he could've easily outrun the strange animalistic monsters.

As the orcs grew more bold, and started closing in closer, Kain raised his left hand, projecting a gout of flames in a semi-circle, pressing the orcs back, only to have the move closer again as the flames extinguished.

Warning: Genetic Stability at 32%.
Yes, thank you, Kain thought irritably. Gotta end this now.
Taking a quick three steps forward, Kain raised his sword, knocking aside the orc's readied axe. As the orc stumbled back, Kain pressed his advantage, shoving his sword through the leather covering the orc's chest. The orc squeeled as Kain pressed a boot to it's chest, kicking the dying creature from the Forn'lyth cold-forged steel. Spinning to his left, he slipped into a crouch, the wind from a barely dodged stone sword ruffling his hair as he brought his blade across the unarmored belly of the sword-wielding orc. Dropping it's blade, steaming intestines spilled into the chill evening air.
Growling, Kain twisted, avoiding a crossbow bolt, before returning fire with a firebolt. Igniting instantly, the creature screamed, then, insane with pain, leapt from the cliff. Pivoting, Kain parried the final dual-wielding orc's blade, then brought his sword down to-
The orc grinned, and Kain heard Sachi scream as he saw, more than felt, the orc's blade slip under his guard, and into his chest. Despite trying to bring down his sword to finish the orc, his blade fell from numb fingers as the orc cruelly twisted it's roughly forged iron blade, causing agony to explode within the weakened Terraderm's chest as he sunk to his knees.
I failed.
---
Warmth, and someone softly humming a soothing, although wordless melody drifted through the fog of darkness. Kain opened his eyes to see brilliant emerald eyes staring down at him. Smiling, she continued humming the soft melody, pausing in her ministrations to his chest. Kain raised his head from her lap, and she gently placed her hands firmly on his chest.
"Not yet. You're still badly injured."
Kain glanced around, a small fire burning to his right, the orange light playing off the stone walls. "W-where...?" he started, before coughing, causing pain to rip through his chest. Sachi reached down, placing a small tin cup to his lips. Sipping slowly, he tried again. "Where are we?"
"A small cave off the coast. I managed to find it after your dispatched the orcs."
"I dispatched? I thought there was one left."
Sachi nodded. "After he... stabbed you, I thought you were dead. Apparently, so did he, since he took his eyes off you and started to turn toward me. Then, you pulled your dagger and stabbed him in the chest."
"Seems you've gotten over your fear of me," Kain said, laying his head back against her lap. Blushing a deep crimson, she glanced at the walls, but didn't shift from beneath his head. "We should try to get to Winlang," he continued, glancing to his left, seeing a small cave entrance.
"It's drizzling out, and you're still very weak and injured," Sachi interjected. "You need rest."
Kain sat up, then started to stand, before falling to his knees, coughing heavily, blue protoplasm flaking the floor. "Kain!" Sachi rose, rushing to his side, as he fell onto his side, still coughing.
Danger. Genetic stablity at 30%, vital signs critical.
His body was able to recover from nearly any injury, but with his protoplasm not even able to maintain his physical form, it was unlikely he would survive the night. "I'm sorry," he began, rolling over onto his back, looking up at her. "I thought I could save you... I thought...." He reached up, caressing her cheek as tears began to fall from her eyes. "...thought that I could show you that not everyone... is as bad as they seem."
She could feel his emotions, nearly sense his thoughts. Despite what everything everyone she had ever met had inflicted on her, she knew this was the one person who would never hurt her; never degrade her. Never force her into a compromising position, never use her then throw her away without so much as a second thought. Compulsion mixed with emotion flooded her, and without a single hesitation, she lowered her lips to his, wordlessly attempting to console this, her shattered hero; her broken prince.
Chapter 2: Cataclysm
Kain closed his eyes, her lips warm and supple, her kiss soft, yet urgent. The taste was strange, sweet with a hint of... roses? Reaching up, he brushed her hair, causing her to stiffen, but she didn't pull back until a few moments later. Opening his eyes, she stared back, uncertainty mixed with embarassment dancing in her dazzling green eyes.
"That was... unexpected. I mean, people usually try to find ways to shut me up, but I have to admit, that was a first."
"Kain," she began, her gaze never wavering from his own. "Let me know what it's like to love someone, giving myself freely to whomever I choose."
Kain stared blankly back for a moment. "Uh, I don't think I'm in much condition to do that right now."
Her gaze dropped, and she bit her lower lip. "I'm sorry; I wasn't thinking... I didn't...." Kain rolled onto his side, lifting the hem of her tattered robes. "What are you-" she began, before his head dipped beneath her robes, and began his ministrations. "What... oh...."
She grasped his head with her hands, a bead of crimson appearing on her lip as she bit down hard, a soft whimper escaping as she felt him lap at her burning core. With each lick, he could feel her softly tremble, a gasp escaping, her fingers curling into his hair. Suckling at her, she grasped his head tighter, pulling him as deep as should could, her gasps slowly becoming louder, turning to cries of pleasure.
Taking a long lick along her cleft, he brought up a finger, slipping it inside her, causing her to thrust her hips against him, matching the tempo he set with his finger. "Kain... Kain... what... something is happening...."
Crying out, she stiffened against him, Kain trying to lap up every drop of her as she laid back, gasping for breath.

"Oh Gods, what the heck did you just do?" Her voice was incredulous, her eyes wide as she stared at him. "Why were you licking my...?"
Kain slid back, proping himself up on an elbow. "I take it no one has ever worried about how you feel when making love?"
"No; I don't think so, I mean. It's usually painful."
Kain shook his head. "It doesn't have to be. In fact, it usually pleasurable, if one's partner takes the time to adminster to their partner's needs."
She sat up slowly, realization slowly entering her expression. "W-ait..." she began, drawing out the word. "Is... that was it actually feels like?"
"Well, yes."
Sachi paused, glancing at the fire. "Is... that what it feels like when a girl does it to you?"
"Sort of. Well, I can't really say, but I'd think the sensation's similar." Nodding, she crawled towards him, reaching for his belt. "No."
"But-" she began, but Kain placed a finger to her lips.
"No," he repeated, more firmly. "I'm much to weak; I was hoping doing that would satiate you for the time being, until I've had a chance to recover." Leaning back against the cave wall, he pulled her close, removing his cloak and placing it over them both. Sighing softly, she laid her head against his chest and shoulder, the soft, off-canter, steady beat of his strange, three-chambered heart lulling her to sleep.

Kain opened his eyes to see Sachi crouching, staring up at him. "That's... actually a little creepy." She smiled, lifting a steaming cup of tea. "Oh gods bless you," he murmered, accepting the battered cup, and taking a sip.
"I've been up for a few hours, since dawn, but I figured you needed the sleep. Did you want something to eat?"
"No; my... kind don't need to eat that often."
She glanced in askance at him; he had slipped before that he was something called a "Terraderm", but she had never heard of a race or tribe even remotely close to that name. Nor had she ever seen anyone bleed glowing blue blood. But then again, he bled red most other times.
Pausing, she turned towards the fire, stirring the leaves in the bot while mulling over the details of their short relationship. He had been sent to kill her, then healed her, fed her, helped her restore her strength, and fought off monsters. Then pleasured her by the fire. But then again, she knew next to nothing about who he really was.
"What's a Terraderm," she asked, trying to sound casual. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see him stiffen, the cup poised halfway to his lips.
Warning: Do not reveal Forn'lyth technology or remnants to natives.
Kain ignored the HED's prompt. She deserves that much. "Terraderms are my race. We're... grown."
She turned, facing him. "What do you mean?"
He sipped his tea, then placed the cup on the smooth stone floor. "We're made, using...." How could he explain a complex computer system, when their civilization had yet to discover electricity? "...alchemy."
"So... are you human, or elven, or-"
"A bit of all of the above, actually." Kain said thoughtfully after a moment. "They mixed bits of all the races, and a few animals, to make my race hardy, fast, strong, and able to take a lot of damage, and heal quickly."
Sachi considered that. He almost sounded like a monster, but he was the kindest person she had ever met. He had revealed his strange heartbeat before, and had saved her when many others would've left her to die.
"There are only three of us, however. Myself, and my two brothers. We were raised underground, in an ancient cave system. Upon our father's death, we split up, going to different areas, to try to find a life in this new world. However, due to my special traits, I became a hunter, killing monsters and bandits to make a bit of coin. Then, I came upon you."
"Are you brothers as strong as you are?"
"Gods no. They're much stronger. I'm the runt of the litter, so to speak."
She ladled tea into a cup for herself, then sat next to him, tucking her legs beneath herself. "You're not that short."
Kain laughed. "No, no, not like that. I mean, I'm genetically inferior. I'm the oldest, using an old... formula, and I have more problems as a result. My younger brothers are more refined, and better designed."
She leaned in, kissing his cheek. "I'm perfectly fine with how you turned out."
Gently running his hand down her shoulder to her arm, he placed his hand over hers, kissing her gently.
"Mm..." she purred, her circuitry beginning to glow, a brilliance flowing from her chest outwards along the strange pattern.
Genetic stablity at 49%
Huh. It seems that her DNA is at least partially compatible to mine. That would explain why I slightly stablized after our encounter last night. He thought, deeping the kiss, and watching the circuitry on the surface of her skin pulse in time to her heartbeat.
Kain slowly pulled back, then kissed the tip of her nose, causing her to giggle. Smiling, he finished the last of his tea, then stood, stretching. Watching the clean white bandages on his chest, he noticed no blood seeped through. Looks as if the wound has closed, at least for the time being. He also noticed that she must have replaced the bandages while he was sleeping, the simple act touching him deeply, although he wasn't sure why.
Striding to the cave entrance, he stared out at the rain, the pine forest outside enrobed with a thick mist, the fresh scent of both pine and fresh rain clearing his senses, seemingly reinvigorating him.
"I wonder how Alucin is holding up."

Kain's Notes: At this point, I'll turn over the story to Alu. I figured that, while the Pen and Paper version has us together as a party, this would be more condusive to our seperate stories that we're both writing. For posterity's sake, I'll list Kain's current inventory for Alu to know what point we're at in the story.

Kain's current inventory:

Alu, if memory serves, your guns were:
Alpha and Omega (still a pimp name)
.45 Caliber ACP
Factory-default rifling
polymer frame
Blued steel finish
single-stack 7 round magazine

And your sword was:
Name escapes me at the moment
Dragon claw hilt, elemental water orb
Tsuba-rectangular hand guard
"Dai-katana" blade (longer than a standard katana, shorter than a no-dachi)

And for fu... freakin' ... damnit, stop making slash fan-fics of my characters! I know there are complaints that I never include actual sex scenes, so I decided to include a few just to silence those freaks.
And if I find out whoever made that abomination slash fic of Kain and Alu.... ugh. Seriously, they're not gay. And even if they were, they're not just brothers. They're nearly genetically identical. I think that's worse.
Not sure. Not exactly something that comes up often.
Anyway.
Stop making slash fics. If you want to see Kain and Alu together, or Sachi and Mayve, or Taelyn and Evelyn and Kaelyn together, you might want to come up with your own universe.
Or hell, change the names, and name if Fifty Shades of Grey. Make a lot of money that way, or so I hear.

My series is high-fantasy sci fi, with a bit of romance thrown in, similar to my favorite authors, like Sherlyn Kenyan, and Elizabeth Haydon. It's a Role-Playing Game, converted to story. Please, as a fairly new author, it may seem I'm pulling this out of my a**, but I've actually been working on this for years, having devised the first version about 15 years ago, when I was 13.

The characters change and adapt with the world, as I try to flesh it out more. Kain was designed to be fairly powerful, in a world with either many weaker creatures, or a single creatures just as strong, if not stronger, than he is. Balance has always been an issue, and I will be addressing that shortly.

Bear with me as I iron out these issues. This isn't exactly ready to publish, to say the least.

So to quote Cave Johnson from Portal 2 " We're not releasing this into the wild until it's damn good and ready."

Since all your stuff is in the testing stages right now, maybe you should look around for one of those writing websites where you can run some of this by other aspiring writers for help. With the understanding of course, that if they steal your ideas you'll F*ing kill them. ^_^

Just sayin'.
