So, I have come to realize that my ideals about life, the universe, and all existence are. Perhaps way to optimistic; but, in realizing that, I've also come to realize something else. Its these overly optimistic views on everything, and my endless hope in humanity, and the innocent, that make me who I am. I can not bring myself to believe that good and evil are born; they are made. They are made by the hearts of man, and can build, and can destroy. They are made by hundreds upon thousands choices that you and I make every single moment. I believe, that we are here for more then just sex, drugs, and rock and roll. I know, that no matter what, our existence means something, to some one, some where.
And I'm not talking religion. I'm speaking about us. As people. I mean something to some one, and they mean something to some one else. Some where, out there, I'm more than just another face. As are you. We more than just carbon based life forms, doomed to destroy ourselves systematically. We are more, just so long as we make ourselves more.

You could argue my beliefs with any point, but I won't believe any thing else. It's as simple as that.

A very good friend pointed out change can not be made with out sacrifice. And after stumbling over words, trying to make an argument for his words, I realized I needed to listen a little more. I was getting way to ahead of myself, and fired up >.>

Any who, the fact of the matter is, I agree with him. No great change has been made with out sacrifice.

But. I don't think that sacrifice with no meaning, will not bring about a damned thing. Senseless murder will do nothing but shatter lives, and destroy hearts. Pointless hate, and lust will bring nothing but your own destruction. Blood spilled, simply because of anger, or greed, or whatever the reasons are, will do nothing. Only spread fear. And in all reality, its not fear that changes anything for the better. Fear is what imprisons us, and cripples us, allowing others to take control.

Instead its those that break through that fear, and grasp only courage that change this world. Gandhi was brave enough to stand up for his belief in peace, love, and simple harmony. John Lennon was brave enough to write his lyrics that preached brotherhood, and courage. Martin Luther King Jr had enough courage to simply speak his mind, and lead a revolution. The prophet, Jesus Christ let courage take his heart, and in turn gave a countless number of people hope, and reason to live. And the list goes on, never to end.

Of course, that was all change for the better, no? Change for the better can be fueled by several things; Self-sacrifice being the most common I've seen. Each of those great men I mentioned above. What happened to them? They gave their heart, and soul to their message, their need for change. They sacrificed time, and precious moments of life. The gave away their breath, to set our hearts afire and give us the courage we needed to make change. And in turn, each of them wound up dead, assassinated by those who feared, and hated them, ultimately making their words, message, and courage immortal.

However change for the worse is fueled not by self sacrifice, but rather, blood. Hitler. He brought about change, did he not? He did so by spilling the blood of innocent people. He wanted change; he wanted to see a world of proud, Aryan Germans, and nothing more. He wanted to see Germany rise to complete, and total power under his guidance. Rather then bringing about any of that, he brought about the deaths of countless men, women, and children. He brought about another chapter in this world's bloody history. Hitler did indeed change the world, but not in the way he had intended. Instead, he was stopped by those who refused to stand down, and rather than ultimate power at his finger tips, he received a bullet to his head, from a gun he himself held.

Before him are countless others. The British ruled the world at one point, and would see no way but their own. Before the British, were the Spanish. Before the Spanish were the Romans. And that list goes on.... These empires became corrupt, and in turn, would see their own empire give way to a new one. And this takes place because of what? That bravery. An example of this would be our own nation's beginnings. The American Revolution began only because of the courage of a handful of men, that spoke of a beautiful thing called freedom...

Though! I will not argue that these empires, that killed, and slaughtered countless people, brought about a good change. Modern civilization. Though, I could argue, that modern civilization isn't exactly good, nor is it bad. Its simply... Civilization. It's the people who live in this modern day world, that are good, and bad. It's the things we do with our tools, that are good. And bad. Its as simple as that.

Now, back to the words of those men I keep speaking about. If those words were accepted by more and more people, there would be less blood shed. If more people would simply choose to open their eyes and see that we are all human, that we all bleed. That we all live, and die. They would see each of us has a soul. That we all laugh, we all cry, and sing, and dance, and dream. If they would simply listen to those words, and see that we all believe in, generally, the same things. Then this world would be a much, much better place.

. . .

I know, there will never be a Utopian Society, where every one holds hands and sings songs about love, and peace. I know that hate, greed, and war, will never cease to exist. I know that blood will always be spilled. And I also am completely aware, that sometimes that blood spilled is for the better.

But, that does not mean that doing what Hitler did will ever be justified. Killing a person simply to bring change that is desired, or only to make a point is... Meaningless. Cold blooded murder is. . . . . . . . It's more than a sin. It's more than wrong. Its more than inhuman. It's... It's... I can't even put it into words. And it doesn't matter if you shot a guy because he infuriated you, or killed countless people because they were different. If you murdered a person because you could, or you were angry, or you hated them, it doesn't matter. You made no real change. You only spilled needless blood. You only ripped apart an unknown amount of hearts. You only inflicted bitter tears upon those you don't know. Yea, you changed something. But not for the better. Not in the long run.

The same can be said for the destruction of a person's mind, and heart. It is true for those who see only greed, and ruin lives to get to the top. It is the same for those who feel only lust, and take what is not theirs.

And the simple truth of the matter is, these people will likely never change. As I said, good and evil are not born. They are made. Good and evil are created by different circumstances, different wants, different choices. These people. Don't want to be different. They don't want to be anything but what they perceive to be powerful.

The same can be said for me. However, I don't want to be powerful in any shape or form. I don't want to rise to the top. I want very little. I want to help others. I want to be happy. And I want those I love, and care for to be happy, and smiling. And that, will never change. No matter what you did to me. That wouldn't change. Because I would never choose anything else. I don't have it in me to kill, or ruin any one. I don't even have it in me to look out only for number one. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

I think, I'll go back to my beliefs now. I believe, that this world, is a truly beautiful place. You just have to look for its beauty, past the dismal gray, and to the vivid colors that shine endlessly. I believe that though the vast majority of today's people are sending this beautiful world to hell in a hand basket, life still matters. Its still important to live on. Because, they does happen to be a few people, who are sacrificing countless heart beats, and an unknown amount of their life, to make a change. And in the end, these people will succeed, with some kind of help. Be it the earth's natural course, or something to shock our world into realization. And until then, I will some how do my part to make some kind of change.

I believe that though this world is filled with hate, murder, stupidity, pointless wars, and needless death, that its everyone that is truly good that makes it so much better. That through the gray of everything destructive, the vivid colors that the innocent, and truly good people make this world, worth living in, and fighting for. Even if in your world, there is one, or two people that give it color. They make life worth living, and loving. This world, is full of beautiful people. You simply have to look past those who are gray.

If I believed in a god, I would say "Dear sweet Jesus, I love you."

I have never met anyone in my entire life who could put my own beliefs in such detailed and gripping words, who shared my beliefs like this. I'm really wigging out on how you can see the world like this and put it here. Primarily I'm speechless and all that I can say besides what is here is...this is beautiful.
