somewhat, but with a huge amount of G'hi still left on Gaia, you suggest absorbing into our own biospheres, which doesn't help much when we are dead and the pool is burst and the saved G'hi runs amok.

Unless we are going to send all this extra G'hi back into the biosphere by controlling "the current" (referring to your river analogy). How would we be able to tell if we're send the animated and extra G'hi back and not innocent Gaians' G'hi.

And why even have the Legends when we could just alter the G'hi to increase whichever stats we like.

When we die, our G'hi and the pool would return to the Biosphere as per normal.

Also, in terms of the river analogy, Animated and Gaians are rocks, not water. You'd not be able to send them on. >.<

That's a possible later addition to the system, say in Chapter 3, specialised G'hi buffs. The legends are merely an introduction to the idea.

Why would it go with you. Imagine if you popped Gaia's Biosphere. The G'hi would run wild in the galaxy, causing life on distant planets with little or none G'hi. I would take into consideration that the same would of happened with your biosphere and that your G'hi core (original G'hi) is taken in. If we were to make the biospheres into our own G'hi, then couldn't someone just keep killing Gaians and absorb their pools and become God like figures, and maybe even control the flow of the G'hi in the Biosphere? (PvP :D)

And why would people and animated be rocks? Rocks takes many years to erode into smaller rocks and float into the stream, but if we are rocks, then wouldn't our presences be permanent or long lasting?

And wouldn't the Legends be restrictions to the way we want to increase our stats?

The pool wouldn't necessarily be a miniature Biosphere. Don't get too hooked on my anaologies xd

They're rocks that dissolve very suddenly >_>;;

I wasn't thinking of Increasing so much as customising. Arguably, the penalties, yes, restrict the raising of stats. However, you could make it so that the legends only are accessible in one area. They don't exist outside of Chapter 2. Qixter's already said each area will be unique.

Tipsy Elder

Well I can't tell if your using analogies, examples, or ideas for G'hi. And say we were a rock forming a pool, when it would dissolve "suddenly", the current would drag the pool into the stream.

That's a lame rock ._.

So if they're only going to be in one chapter, why have them really? There could be more than 10 chapters added to zOMG, but why would only one have Legends? Personally, the addition to stats with G'hi would be better altogether instead of the Legends restricting you and lowering some of your stats.

To use an analogy, it's a spring on top of a rock. When the rock dissolves, then the spring rejoins the river, naturally. And yes, it's a lame rock. Humans are weak, we die easily. xd

Because they add to Gameplay in that Chapter? Do you truly believe that you'll be able to use these rings in later chapters?

Tipsy Elder

you keep skipping to different analogies or keep adding to them so that you can keep your idea.
First you started with us floating in the river and now we're rocks made of paper. I'm only seeing uncertainty that this feature should be added to the game.

Plus, when the spring on top of the rock join the river, the river would have an extra amount or overflow with water (G'hi).

Actually, I don't but the ring idea is zOMG's way of making everyone individual so they'll probably like to keep them.

Am I skipping them, or adding to them, or just explaining them better? Also, think back to the Golden Rule, you can twist the plot to accept your mechanics. It doesn't matter if I'm changing them, part of the development process. =P

Also, -other- Gaians are like rocks. You are sentient and aware of yourself. But it's best not to pursue this path, it's mind-blowing, and rather pointless.

Yes, there may be a small surge in Animated when someone with a G'hi pool dies... of course, begs the question if Gaian's can die now. We tend to just return to the Null Chamber.

The ring -system- might stay, but the rings themselves might be different, that's what I meant.

Tipsy Elder

Meant to say "and", not "or". My bad. ._. And this is about something completely different from game developing >_>;

Your analogy makes no sense to me anymore. x___X

This is developing an idea for a game? ._.

The analogy isn't important. It's merely a method for me to try and explain how G'hi works as per the current storyline, and to try and explain that G'hi legends aren't a huge step away from that.

Tipsy Elder

but this is best when you stick to a strict story so then your idea is firm and unquestionable so that people will agree.

When writing, it's poetic when you go back to analogy for a firm image in people's mind. If you keep changing it and the analogies your trying to explain turn the reader confused and left with random ideas trying to form what you want that isn't absorbed into the reader's mind.

Tell you what, I'll write you a special poetic analogy that makes the whole thing clear... tomorrow. It's too late for analogies.

@Other regulars to the thread: New idea coming. Might bump my ideas down a post. I think I have room..

Tipsy Elder

O, I see.... It's 5am here! XD and no, I didn't sleep. What's my future? :3
