I'm not very far in the game (only CL 6.1) but from my experience, Mantis has a faster cooldown but does less damage.

As for actual topics: I'm playing the hard way having only gotten one 8.0 ring to stay under the TL limit in the higher areas. As far as the guide's concerned, you might want to talk about crewing etiquette and developing a specialty (as I seem to keep ending up in dysfunctional crews; and I've fond it difficult in Gold Beach by myself).
