I feel the need to point out to you that if we didn't, you could just as easily claim that we have no Idea what we are talking about because we haven't read the books or seen the movies.
It's sort of like how many Atheists research the bible and general religions, so that if anyone tries to debunk them for their lack of religion, they already have the info on hand, and aren't just pulling things out of their a**.
Do you realize how badly your statement contradicts itself?
Also, another point I'd like to make.
Just because we don't enjoy something doesn't mean it's not interesting to talk about.
Example:
Many people don't like War.
Yet we talk about it all the time.
This, is the only valid argument that I have seen so far.
Except for the contradicting part, explain please.
Didn't I just do that?
Although 'contradictory' might not have been the right word.
Quote:
Because, you people spend SO much time talking about Twilight, reading about Twilight, and watching the movies.
If you guys REALLY hated Twilight as much as you scream you do, wouldn't you stay AWAY from all things Twilight?
You're statement is a fallacy. Basically "an improper argumentation in reasoning resulting in a misconception or presumption."
This wasn't on purpose, I'm guessing. That's alright.
My previous statements help to show that you're presumption wasn't exactly right.
Another thing.
It is not impossible to enjoy select things.
Example:
I HATE Roland Emmerich, and most of his movies. (2012, The Day After Tomorrow, Godzilla)
I have a deep love of Independence Day (A Roland Emmerich film), despite how bad it can be.
The examples I stated (Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Harry Potter, Country Music, and cheese.) I hate with a passion, I do not enjoy one thing that pertains to those examples. Especially cheese, I'm lactose intolerant, a Vegan and it's just plain nasty.
But in all other cases I see eye to eye with you for the most part.
That's alright. It's perfectly understandable. You don't like these things, and you'd rather not associate with them.
I find Twilight interesting to talk about, and not just because of a few...'questionable Idea's' it has. Even if I don't care for it as a series, I can still talk and learn more about it, and try to understand why other people like it.
Both of these Idea's are alright and understandable.
I'm glad we could find an agreeable ground. A lot of fans who think things like your OP tend to think I'm attacking them, when I really try not to. I'm really glad I was able to find someone who understood what I was saying, and not think I was insulting them.
