「Do they remember?」━ No
Reina was born to a couple, who at the time, could not afford to take care of their late night mistake. Her biological parents may have loved their blonde hair daughter but the cost of raising a child scared them. They looked around for a while until they managed to find the 'perfect mother'. She was an older woman who promised that they could come visit whenever they wanted so Reina was adopted by this 'perfect mother'. Her biological parents were excited with that agreement. Their daughter's life would be perfect while they worked on themselves. She was immediately whisked away to a whole new life.
Her mother made her feel loved and wanted and Reina never wanted to leave her mother's side. They would do things together like cook, bake, and create masterpieces. At the age of six, she developed her love of baking and art. Her adoptive mother taught her how to make her favorite soup; hazelnut. Reina was home schooled a majority of her life, her mother telling her that she was 'too smart and that she would be constantly bored' if she joined the other kids on the street at the local school. She longed for the days of being in school but respected her mother's wishes and agreed it was for the best.
She had her friends but her mother would keep an eye on her at all times. One day at the age of twelve, she decided that she wanted a pet. Her mother refused but Reina persisted every day, volunteering to take on an additional chore. Eventually, her mother relented and gave Reina a turtle that she named Violet. Reina took the best care of Violet and when Violet died, she cried for days. She never did know why Violet had died. She always fed her and played with her. Once she reached the important age of eighteen, she found herself questioning a lot. For example, why did she look different than her mother?
She began asking her mother questions and was always brushed aside. Eventually, she reached her breaking point and left the only home that she knew. This was her life and her adventure and she wanted to study the culinary arts. It blended both her loves; baking and art into one amazing passion. Graduating at the top of her class, she found herself looking for a place to start over. She ran across this old baking shop and agreed to take on the challenge. Naming the bakery, Gleam and Glow Bakery, Reina found herself in an environment that she loved.
