Height: 5'11"
Wingspan: 13'1"
Weight: Takes on the weight of one's burdens // Varies

History:
Not much is known about the Lord Devil's past.
But all of the stories say that he used to be a lot scarier.

Personality:
Despite being the "Devil," Vivian is not the embodiment of evil. Evil, good, right, and wrong are perceived differently by all beings, and therefore, Vivian and the supposed "God" that exists in his world do not represent any particular ethics/morals. Vivian's role in his world is to be "That Who Questions." All souls are sent to Vivian after death, and to each soul, he asks for their regrets. After identifying what each soul regrets from their life, Vivian asks "Are you sure?" If he senses uncertainly within the soul he is speaking to, the soul stays with him until they may sort out their past and come to a final decision. If he senses conviction, he sends that soul to the "God" of his world, or "That Who Judges," to have their final fate determined. Those that are unable to find confidence in themselves and spend their eternity wandering stay with Vivian forever and are called the "Damned." The souls of the Damned cannot be judged and put to peace because one cannot judge a heart that has not even judged itself.

"The Devil" was the name bestowed upon him for his nature of asking questions, interpreted by some as inquiries to cause one to second-guess themselves and perhaps end up making the "wrong" choice. In authoritative interpretations, some have even taken That Who Questions' premise as intentionally trying to mislead others instead of merely testing convictions to make sure a soul is certain of themselves before being sent onto the next stage of death. Unfortunately, with the meaning of "The Devil" changing over time and becoming a part of pop culture, the preconceived notions that come with what Vivianus's true purpose is has been muddled. He lives with it though; eventually, they all must meet him and see the truth in the end.

Outside of his role as the "Devil," Vivian is generally quiet. That being said, when Vivian does speak, he's quick to get to the point, but usually not without spending a long time to think about every possible consequence first. Because of this, sometimes, his responses are delayed. He is just as capable of falling in love, hating, feeling wary of, and liking any person he interacts with. His emotions and mental state are intact; he just has many issues expressing them. Because of this, sometimes he appears rather lost or detached from reality.

Detests: The sun (his eyes are sensitive to brightness), cold food (unless it's cake), introductions, modern day technology (he doesn't understand it), mongoose, dubstep music

Likes: Listening (over talking), familiar company, the sea, playing the piano, Satan, Dad, storybooks

Facts

- Vivianus's form, though able to be touched, moved, picked up, harmed, etc.. is only a mirage and a piece of himself. The remainder of his body can only exist in at the Gateway of Death. He may project a piece of himself in the land of the Living or some other location while still remaining and performing his duty at the Gateway of Death.

- Vivianus does not physically speak. His voice is merely heard by those who he wishes to hear it, be it all around him or just a few individuals. He may lip-sync his words to give the illusion of normalcy.

-Very few individuals are born with a pre-ordained purpose in Vivian's world; they were only born if they are necessary.

- The red on Vivianus's horn is not natural, but rather, a bloodstain that never went away. The other horn was lost to history he doesn't care to recount on.

- The wings he uses to fly are not true wings, but rather, instruments to help him glide along. They are only capable of lift when he uses his smaller forms outside of his true body. Otherwise, they're useless.

In Combat

Vivian's purpose is not to fight others, and though he can easily slap someone or literally "fight" someone, his main mode of defending himself is through weight.

- Physical Capabilities -
His weight, as outlined, changes based on the regrets of of each adversary he encounters. Those with more regrets or uncertainties would find Vivian incredibly heavily, allowing Vivian to easily place a hand on them and stop them completely. Those, however, with lack of a conscience or who truly feel have never made a mistake would not be affected by Vivian at all, and easily shove him out of the way -- albeit those who truly have no regrets are hard to find. Most are unable to move Vivian by default.

The more burdens a soul carries, the more powerful Vivian becomes. Someone with an especially heavy past may be thrown completely off balance or injured if Vivian so much as flicks them.

- Magical Capabilities -
Whether or not Vivian carries any magical properties in him is unknown; if he does, he has never shown it.
