This is the New Reality of Professional Sports. Glad you are learning it now instead of later in your life.
Look at me, I havent been to A Chicago Bears game in over 20 Years and a Cubs game in over 10 Years. These are two of the Worst teams in the history of their respective sports yet every season their tickets skyrocket to the point where even Bill Gates cant even afford them.
I say let the owners play with their money, they wont get any from me unless they actually try and win. But since they never will F*** them.
Yes. Let's all bend down and kiss the asses of the people at the top, instead of lobbying to try and change what's wrong with American sports right now. stare Similar opinions in the masses will generate a constructive outcome.
Hahahahaha......Oh Wait... you were being serious...
Trust Me, things are NEVER, I repeat, NEVER going to change. As long as teams make money through Television Contracts, Sponsorship Deals and Luxury Suite Seating, they are going to keep doing it until they find a new way to generate even more revenue.
Look at the BCS, theres allot of talk and pressure to change the system from what it is to a playoff system. Its all talk, its not going to change, its never going to change. You have to understand that professional sports are no longer Sports. Its a BUSINESS and the point of a business is to Make Money. if you cant afford the tickets to your favorite team, there will always be someone else ready and willing to make the purchase. So in reality, the true, blue collar fan is soooo 19th Century.
And I find it hard to believe that people who call themselves true fans will sit back and accept this radical change, without any complaints...
