"Hey, did anybody hear that?" Chava questioned, descending from a tree and spooking her two comrades by accident the moment her feet touched the ground.

"WAH!" A startled Clovis bumped into the flank of Ivory's steed. "Jeez! Are you TRYING to make us give up our ghosts before we return to civilization?!"

"Chava, explain!" demanded Ivory.

"H-Howling, ma'am. Not sure if it's a titan or some other beast. I-I couldn't tell from my vantage point," Chava added, pointing south. "It came from that direction."

Ivory immediately climbed aboard the dark horse and sped ahead of the two without another word. From that point onward, it was a race across terrain and signs of Wall Maria.

Sara could taste it. Victory! Wall Maria was close now knowing that it was only a matter of time before the gold flare was gonna be fired to where people in Sina and Rose would see it. The gold flare showing redemption.

She looked ahead to where Nicholai was than behimd her hearing thuds. Red eyes were glowing. She held on to the reigns tighter. "HE'S BACK!" She shouted out to the wolf pack and Nicholai but he was coming fast. Sara looked over to her right to see a crawler which made the horse recoil and Sara fall off. She gasped seeing the Helleon Titan staring at her and opened his big mouth and get her as well as the ground and part of a tree in one gulp.

The trio of Garrison members were still on the move, seeking for signs of surveying groups along the way to Wall Maria. "Wonder if there's any salvageable ammunition or other tools of fortification left behind that would be of much use when we arrive at the ruined wall," Ivory said to herself.

Her train of thought was suddenly interrupted by the sound of a tree crashing to the ground and splintering wood. Not a good sign! She alighted from her horse and fired a cable into the brush. Her two comrades changed direction and dived into the foliage, weapons drawn.

Nicholai had knocked down several trees as he was escorting remnants of the corp and anyone that had joined them along the way since he had garrison and military police with them. He was kept looking for Sara wondering where she had went. She saw the horse tracks and a hug titans prints as well. He couldnt risk it, in his weakened state and headed for the wall after taking care of a few titans and climbed up the wall as he looked over Shinganshina. He stood there his cape flapping in the wind after he had transformed back to human and stood there looking out over that district and then the wall seeing how much of a path he carved. He just stood there and rubbed his head hoping everything was ok. He sighed a bit and just wondered to himself could he pull this off and reclaim the land and districts within Wall Maria for them and humanity.

Chantecler and her team had encountered a titan, their first since departure from Wall Rose. Whether it was fifty meters or much taller no one could say. To the east of the giant was the remnants of an upturned wagon, and the two or so horses that were pulling it earlier had either fled or met a tragic end at the titan's clawed hands. The next time Ivory spotted her two friends, Clovis was frantically tying a bandage to his bleeding head, only to give it up and try to come up with a way to rescue Chava, now in the clenched fist of the titan.

It was hard to tell if the Garrison medic was awake, but there may not be much time to perform a rescue. The fifty-meter behemoth was getting away fast!

"Onward, Chanty! We're gonna lose her at this rate!" Clovis warned in a shaky tone. He didn't have much natural gas left in the tanks, but that was beside the point. The twosome hopped from tree branch to tree branch, about fourscore, stopping upon a limb with the thickness of a wooden ship's main mast. Here, around seventy yards ahead of their target, he and Ivory caught their breath.

"Any other ideas, Kul?" she panted

Clovis opened his mouth to answer the squad leader, only to be interrupted by a loud snap from below.

The branch they were on gave way, causing both Ivory and Clovis to fall down screaming.
