This whole time Kara's eyes had been scanning every inch of the demon before her, noting all the different changes brought to him from age, and just how disheveled and weak he appeared. Despite the powerful aura radiating from him, that didn't hide his slightly sunken cheeks, or the bones starting to stick out more noticeably under his skin. Being trapped all these years, it was no surprise he had lost weight - it wasn't like he could eat anything to gain any nutrients here.
A small pang of sadness went through her heart at the sight of her old friend that was before her...she should have gotten here sooner.
When Seon spoke finally, Kara was almost startled, she had been so deep in thought. His words echoed her thoughts almost exactly, but unlike her more negative, depressing thoughts, Seon wore that same fanged grin he had when they were young, and despite the tone of his voice being almost unfamiliar - thanks to a lower voice and the hoarseness of it from being unused - she could easily hear that same playful, joking tone he used back then. At first, she was unable to speak. But soon, the only things she felt were pure joy and relief...
Before he had time to react, Seon felt lithe arms and soft silk wrap around his neck. Crimson eyes widening at the contact, his grin faded into a look of pure shock at what was transpiring. Kara was...holding him? Eyes locking onto the top of her head, Seon let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. He had been completely taken by surprise, never expecting the demoness before him to hold him as she was - not only was she trying to comfort him, but he could tell Kara had done this for her too. After so many decades, they were finally able to see each other again...
"...Idiot. I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner..." As Kara spoke, her words were shaky, and Seon could probably easily smell the scent of her tears. For the first time since her father had passed away, she was crying...but this time, it was out of relief.
As she tightened her grip around his neck and out of control black hair, she felt him hesitantly return the gesture, wrapping his arms under her own and around her upper back. Once in place, she felt him relax, as though glad she wasn't pushing him away, and his grip tightened. Kara felt as though he never wanted to let go...and for now, that was just fine. A bit of weight then rested against her right shoulder, and Kara realized that Seon had bowed his head forward to rest on her, his grip around her firm.
Kara didn't need to have a keen nose to realize he was just as relieved to see her as she was to see him...their equally firm, comforting holds on each other were enough to show that. Closing her eyes and resting her head on his, Kara stroked his mussy hair lightly, trying to make him feel safe. After so many years in this dark hell, alone...she could only imagine what it had done to him psychologically. So for now, she would do what she could to make him feel safe, and dispel his loneliness and worries.
While the two Inuyokai embraced each other, their gold and indigo youki swirled around them gently, while slowly fading away as the two relaxed. Once the two auras faded back into themselves, Seon spoke up softly, "...You know, back when we were just children, I never saw you doing something like this...it just seemed so out of character for you. You, who had been raised to be this well-groomed Daiyokai in the future, who were supposed to be cold to all..." He then let out a hoarse chuckle, "I guess I was wrong though...and to be honest, I'm glad...or this would have been a lot harder, I feel like..." Seon trailed off quietly as he felt Kara let out a small sigh, and give a small push on his chest, signalling him to move his head off her shoulder to move back some. A bit reluctant to, he complied slowly, shifting back to peer at the demoness' face curiously.
Once he had moved back slightly to look her face to face, Kara's features softened, and she placed her right hand on his cheek lightly - everything she did, she did to try to comfort him. "For your first time talking in a while, you certainly talk a lot...you haven't changed a bit though. I'm glad for that." A small, kind smile gracing her rouged lips, and Kara stroked his cheek once, noting how his gaze narrowed slightly in approval. It'll be alright, Seon. Let's go home now...okay?" After a moment, Seon nodded slowly. Her golden eyes softening, Kara nodded back, before stepping out of their embrace.
Noticing what she intended to do, Seon stepped forward and placed a hand on her shoulder firmly, pulling her attention back to him. "Don't worry about finding the way you came from. I can control the Shadow Realm, remember? Stand back and I'll create a portal out for us."
Kara's look of concern didn't go unnoticed, and when she went to protest Seon playfully placed a clawed finger in front of her lips. As she blinked at the gesture, he gave her a wide, fanged grin. "You underestimate me, Kara. I can handle this...now let me do this for us, alright?" Still not 100% satisfied, but understanding, Kara folded her arms into her sleeves, nodding quietly.
Satisfied, he gave her a genuine smile, before turning away to get to work. Raising his right hand, a small spiral of dark energy began to swirl in front of his open palm, slowly growing larger in size. A light wind began to swirl about the two Inuyokai then as the swirl of energy began to form into a portal, similar to the one she had exited earlier upon arriving in the Shadow Realm. Once fully formed, Seon let out a soft, albeit somewhat shaky, breath. 'It seems Akane-sama's gift is starting to run out...I probably will pass out soon if I don't be careful...' However, just as he thought this, he felt his knees start to buckle suddenly. Eyes wide, Seon couldn't believe how fast he was running out of steam.
Just then, he felt something catch him, halting him from landing on his knees on the 'ground'. Looking over, Kara must have noticed the weakening of his youki and had managed to get his right arm over her shoulders, so that she would be able to catch him and help hold him upright. Shaking her head, Kara gave him a stern look of concern, as if to say 'I tried to warn you~', to which Seon responded with a quiet huff through his nose and a smirk as he turned his head forward. "Heh...well, the portal's open, isn't it?" he turned his crimson gaze to meet her golden one, a calm smile on his face as he spoke in a softer tone, "Let's go home, Kara..."
A small smile graced her lips then at his words. "Yes...let's go home." With her support, the two Inuyokai stepped forward, entering the portal that would lead them back to the very room Kara had entered from back in her castle...
