*The angel looked over, and noticed Kaname standing on the other end of the hut, she called out to her to get her attention.* Kaname-san! It's so good to see you again! *She handed Yoshi to his uncle, who reluctantly took him, and made her way over to the young woman* You're looking well! *It was at this point she heard more commotion off in the distance...* I hope occurrences like this weren't too common in Junkie-kun and my absence sweatdrop ... Who was that other youkai InuYasha-san was chasing anyway? And was that other girl Kagome-san?

                                    [Ryo's expression is one that is rarely readable, but to the trained eye of a warrior, it may had been noted that the eyes had changed from a dull state to something akin to bright and demonic. A half demon baring his fangs and calling Ryo's hands filthy? In the place Ryo was from, traditionally that hanyou would had not been able to even finish the sentence. This area that Daiyoukai Yasou and Hikari have been spending their time is strange and confusing. Hierarchy of what you are held no meaning here, demons were protecting a human village that held a priestess meant to destroy demons. The miko in his arms may even have affectionate feelings toward himself based on what the half breed is saying. None of this made sense and it was starting to bother him intensely. Before Ryo could make a response he heard a familiar sound of feet running to them and only to be more confirmed when she came into view. The girl he traveled with here, the one that plaguing his mind against his own will, Yume. ]

                                    Ryo put her down!

                                    [Ryo felt himself flinch at Yume's voice and he automatically released Kagome in the process. Yume now stood in front of Inuyasha and it baffled Ryo more. Why was she defending the half demon? Why was she telling Ryo to stop protecting the priestess? He didn't understand and it was setting his mind into a blurred frenzy. Ryo felt his own hands flex instinctively and he was starting to feel a strong focus toward Inuyasha building. Is this anger? He hadn't felt this way sense....he ignored the brimming memory of the blooded Yasou holding Hikari...he was off balance. Suddenly all he could think of was how much he wanted to drive a wedge between Yume and Inuyasha, push her far from the half demon. The filthy half breed's hands were too near the girl and it was that he bared the fangs first at Ryo. If there was one clear thing Ryo could still act on was response to fangs and in a instant things changed.

                                    For one moment Ryo had been standing with no expression showing and Kagome was out of his grasp, the very next moment, Yume would had only felt a gust of air as Ryo had swiftly jumped by her in an all out attack at Inuyasha. ]

[Before she could really scold ryo for dropping her instead of placing her down the young imp lunged toward inuyasha attempting to punch the half demon in the face.]

[picking herself up and dusting off the dirt she made her way towards yume who had been moved out of the way from the two that were now at each others throats.]

*watching the two it reminded her of a similar situation of kouga and inu how they used to be at each others necks whenever kouga showed up flirting. She needed to stop this, if it were just inu and kouga shed just tell inu to sit but she didnt know this demon ryo. What if her stopping inuyasha but him in more risk of seriously getting hurt. Perhaps she can figure out some way of getting yume to put the enchanted beads on ryo! Then they could both stop the two idiots before they kill each other.*

[seeing ryo lung towards him he moved yume out of the way just in time to block ryo's attack sending the two flying backwards into the clearing. As the dust settle you could see the two neck and neck swinging blows at one another but neither looking to be doing any serious damage]

why you...... *barring his fangs at the imp it seemed that every blow he swung at the ryo that he blocked only further angered him.*

I dont know who the ******** you are but im going to kick your a**!

*going in for another swinging blow this time aimed towards ryo's face was again block by the demon imp once more.*

How the hell is this guy blocking all of my attacks. He's pissing me off!

                                    [Swing after swing, Ryo matched Inuyasha's punches with precision. Never allowing one hit to get through. Ryo was enjoying this fight much more than he ought to. It was clear that Ryo had the upper hand on speed, perhaps not by much, but any fraction is an advantage fraction. It has been a long time since he had let lose into a battle, a very long time. Hikari had grilled it, sometimes with literal head grinding force, that he had to restrain his instincts. Don't engage in attack against friends or even temporary allies. Be noble, be refined, be a courteous youkai.In truth, Ryo understood Yasou's goal to bring harmony among the imps and ability to live along side others without bloodshed, but it didn't hinder the feeling of joy and thrills he felt fighting. This hanyou was a perfect opponent. He had strength of a demon making the fight last which furthered pleased Ryo. It wasn't a boring fight where the weak enemy was destroyed in a single blow.

                                    Ryo eyes were quite bright by now and his lips curled in a small fraction that could be determined as a smirk of delight. He grew tired of the punches shortly, wanting to draw the dog demon to a more intensive battle. Suddenly, Ryo flexed his claws, a move Yume had only seen once before during the time she traveled with him. It was the same move Ryo used to pierce the wild imp they saw. Where Ryo pulled at the moisture of the ground below inuyasha and ice spears shot out and all around the hanyou. Inuyasha narrowly got out of the attack and Ryo smirked again at Inuyasha's increased anger.

                                    Now if only he'd unsheath that sword, the one that carries many mysterious powers that had became legend after the great battle with half demon called Naraku. Ryo wanted to test it's true might.]

*Not wanting to admit to his self that he was actually enjoying the fight more so then he should be he kept his angered appearance though you could see his cocky grin shinning through the pissed off facade. It had been some time since inuyasha had faced a worthy opponent since naraku had passed and hed been itching on testing his tessaigas abilities since the battle.*

*quickly drawing his sword from its sheath inuyasha made quick work of removing the ice barricade making his way towards the imp his blade beginning to shimmer into an icy diamond form as he made his way in range to let out a full on attack on ryo.*

heh lets see you try and dodge this pipsqueak!

*flexing his wrist he swung tessiaiga into the air calling out "ADAMANT BARRAGE!" before swinging his mighty sword back down sending adamant flying towards ryo*

[.Yume couldn’t even find the words for what was happening. She’d seen a terrifying glimmer in the imp’s eyes when she stepped in front of the hanyou. Though his breaths were even they were deep and broad. His deadpan expression for once scared her more than it did frustrate. Whatever she’d stumbled in on, it was quickly turning dangerous.

As soon as she’d made up her mind to approach Ryo cautiously she was shoved several feet away from InuYasha by a black and blue blur. Just a bit more force and she would have collided messily with the engawa. The imp really needed to watch his strength. She regained her balance enough to dismiss Kagome’s assistance as she approached, equally as abused by the reckless imp. Their eyes turned to the escalating battle. The punches were so fast they were mere swishes of color in the air.
Her shoulders half relaxed when both parties started smirking haughtily. The aggression had subsided in exchange for sport, it seemed. It didn’t mean they were past hurting themselves though.

To attest to this, Ryo went too far. Spears of ice shot forth from the earth and encircled InuYasha. She knew first hand how deadly the attack could be. Again she went to voice her protest, but Tetsusaiga beat her to it.]

"ADAMANT BARRAGE!"

[. The kunoichi’s expression turned beady and nervous as the attack swished past them and made mincemeat of a portion of the monk’s hilltop. Yoshihiro’s startled cry permeated the air, and Kohaku was soon rushing onto the engawa with the babe in his arms to see what had happened.]

[. Upon seeing the landscape the taijiya’s brow twitched. InuYasha and Ryo were still going at it, and his patience was already running thin with those two after they’d run him over this afternoon. However, the protective instincts he held over his sister’s brood had his blood boiling.]

"What is the matter with you two?! You want to fight than do it somewhere safer!!"
[. He shoed the twins inside, who’d been watching the event a little too closely for his taste.]

[. The boy’s anger had rattled a sense of guilt in Yume. Even if she wasn’t at fault. Or – maybe she was. She really didn’t know what had gotten into Ryo!]

"Kagome-san what exactly is going on here?"

Kaname, who had just been watching the chase this whole time with a smile was pulled from her thoughts at the sound of the angel's voice. Turning toward her, the young woman offered up a smile, "It's great to see you again too, Akari-san, it's been too long! You're looking well too, how have you been?" Hearing the bakas coming closer, Kaname sweat-dropped at the angel's words. "Well, not too often anyway...heheh. But, that new youkai is called Ryo - he's an imp just like Yasou and Hikari, they all seem to be pretty close from what I've seen. He's a bit of an odd one, but if you can get past his odd behaviors, he doesn't seem too bad." A small smile formed then as she spoke up for the last question, "And yes, that's Kagome-san. I think you two will get along really well...just don't bring up how much she looks like Kikyou, all right? It's a bit of a sore subject..." sweatdrop

It was then Yume's familiar voice was heard, and the first thing the kunoichi did was yell at Ryo to stop and put the miko down. Turning her full attention toward the four, Kaname gasped quietly when Ryo lunged at Inuyasha, and stopped leaning against the engawa to stand a bit more tensely.

The fight quickly escalated, and it was clear Ryo meant to harm Inuyasha, but why?! Taking a defensive stance in front of Kohaku and the twins, Kaname watched as Inuyasha made things even worse by drawing Tetsusaiga and using the Adamant Barrage...really, in the village?? A small frown creased the Shikigami user's lips...she wanted to use her Wind Shikigami to create her barrier, but even after all her training in her world, she knew she wouldn't be able to block Inuyasha's attacks. Her barrier wasn't as powerful as Naraku's, and the hanyou had been able to finally break through that on multiple occasions, so she unfortunately couldn't hope to try to stop the fighting.
And for some reason, she felt uneasy if she did try to intervene...Ryo was clearly still unpredictable, so it was hard to say if he would then turn on her...and she didn't want to provoke the imp any farther.

Kaname noticed Kagome check on Yume, who had been flung fairly close to her by Ryo almost into the engawa. Since she was OK Kaname said nothing, but continued to watch the fight. As she was about to say something to the shards of adamant that had come a bit too close to her for comfort, Kohaku beat her to it. Hearing the boy say exactly what she was thinking, the girl kept her defensive stance in front of the engawa, in case she needed to summon a Shikigami to protect the hut.

                                    [ah. so the hanyou went for the full offensive attack. Ryo had always been very keen about predicting moves before an opponent can fully implement one, it is part why the imp was incredibly hard to catch off guard in battle. Even now Ryo had anticipated Inuyasha to use a full swing attack when the sword was pulled out. Ryo had timed it perfectly. As Inuyasha swung the sword down and chanted the power call, Ryo had pulled at the water within the ground again and in seconds a mini whirlpool swerved under the hanyou's feet. It was quick and it effectively threw the half demon off balance causing the attack to miss its correct target point and send shards in a miss-direction. Ryo only suffered a couple minor cuts as a few shards did least manage to hit him as the attack mostly flew over his head. His only accounted error was noting he didn't think out fact changing Inuyasha's attack had almost caused severe damage to the home and bystanders. Hikari had charged Ryo with task of guarding the humans and village and if she were to return to find the injuries on her human friends were by Ryo's faulting, he'd likely end up having to face Hikari in a fight. That's a fight, he admits he couldn't win. He just could never bring himself to even consider striking at her.

                                    Ryo barely made any indication of acknowledging the male demon slayer's yell, but he did think he had to do something to keep the half demon from letting out another attack towards the bystanders. The whirlpool had frozen into a solid disc beneath Inuyasha's feet and Ryo made a mischievous smile when he noticed how Inuyasha was struggling just to stay standing. So the half demon has no balance on ice.

                                    Ryo created tall walls of ice to attach to the disc to encase inuyasha and then by simple flick of his hand, the now ice pool started to dance about causing the poor half demon to slide and bounce around within like a trapped bounce ball. On occasion he'd make the ice spin extremely fast causing Inuyasha to look like a red blur ring within the ice container. He was toying with the hanyou and enjoying the grunts and disoriented movements of the demon.]

[Everything seemed to have happened so fast before she knew it inuyasha already had his sword drawn. This needed to be stopped and now]

"You need not explain yourself to me. Just see to it that you succeed to live here, otherwise he'll suffer as I once had."

*sad eyes watched the battle, kikyou's voice ringing in her ears as she watched her beloved fight. Her hand absentmindedly went to her kimono pockets where her hands grasped the forgotten beads that lie there*

inyasha....

"Kagome-san what exactly is going on here?"

If you believe you have the ability you can begin by taming the wild demon in my place. I have already prepared the instruction that only yume and yourself can use it on the demon, it shall be up to you to complete the spell and attach the beads to Ryo. Kaede can assist you in learning the spell, now what path do you choose? "

[Looking up into yumes concerned worried eyes rattled her out of her daze reminding her hat she had a job to do. Especially if she wanted to make it here in this time she needed to proof herself worthy of staying.]

*sighing kagome pulled the beads from her pocket making them know to yume as she began her explanation to the kunochi keeping it short and to the point since they needed to make this quick. Perhaps her and yume could some how get the beads onto ryo and stop the fight by subduing both parties*

Kikyou-sama entrusted me in making these enchanted beads for ryo, they're similar to the ones that inuyasha wears. Some how in th middle of he and I trying to get them on ryo it ended up with ryo carrying me away i think in an effort to protect me from inuyasha due to he was a little to aggressive in trying to grab a hold of ryo to force the beads on. I honestly dont know why their fighting but inuyasha may think that ryo has a thing for me......that may be the reason.


*Kagomes face cringed a little at her last statement, speaking it a little unsure and quieter then the rest. She knew that ryo doesnt care for her in that way. Inuyasha was just mistaking ryo's awkward kindness as flirting i guess he was only trying to take me home or so i think thats what he was trying to do. She really didnt even remember how all of this began between the three of them to begin with. She was just ready for this to be over and done with.*

I have an idea to stop these idiots from killing each other and more importantly to stop them from destroying sango's home. You care to help me?

*extending her hand out she handed yume the prayer beads*

We have to get these on ryo and then with your command word you can subdue him with it. Then i can subdue inuyasha with his enchanted beads.

[.Yume’s eyes darted over each and every black bead, absorbing the miko’s words. She knew from the twins’ bedtime stories exactly what the subjugation beads did, and how Kagome alone held the command.
Would this give her the power to do the same?

When Kagome finished her low comment about Ryo having a ‘thing for her’ the kunoichi’s gaze suddenly darted up to read her expression. She knew it wasn’t true, but there was still an uncomfortable tightness in her throat. For whatever reason the words felt like a hot ball of lead churning inside of her.

So that’s what this was all about. Ryo mistook InuYasha’s jealousy for aggression, and carted Kagome away from the violent hanyou because of it. Likewise the dog didn’t like Ryo acting so familiar with his intended, and now sought to punish the imp for his transgressions.
It still didn’t explain why Ryo had charged InuYasha so unexpectedly, though. Unless he’d just had enough of the half breed’s impudence.

Kagome suddenly caught her attention again from the squabbling youths, and handed her the prayer beads.]

We have to get these on ryo and then with your command word you can subdue him with it. Then i can subdue inuyasha with his enchanted beads.

“M-me? You want me to do it?”

[.Her thumb fondled one of the beads as she thought. If she just ran up and told him to put them on he’d be suspicious and stay out of reach. And now was certainly not a time to present him with a ‘memento’ from her travels today.
She needed to trick him. To feed his ego and provide an excuse for InuYasha’s anger. To present him with an opportunity for the one thing he desired most …]

“That’s it!”

[.She ran towards Ryo and the spinning red box that was InuYasha. Stopping a few feet away she cupped her hands on either side of her mouth and shouted toward the hanyou.]

“InuYasha – just admit you’ve lost! Are you that petty that you can’t share your powerful talisman with Ryo? I agree with you that Ryo is still too unpredictable to wear them, but right now with the others gone you and him are the only demons here to protect us! If the beads can give you so much power as a hanyou, imagine what they’ll do for a full fledged imp like Ryo!”

[.She really hoped the hanyou wasn’t too dumb or pissed off to catch on. If they could convince Ryo that the beads were the source of InuYasha’s mighty powers, it would be a lot easier to get them on him.]

*upon looking down inuyasha noticed the grass began to freeze over causing a pool of ice under his feet. But before he could manage to jump out of the ice pool ryo began encasing him in ice*

what the...

*Before he realized it he was now like one of those washing machine things from kagomes world. Water and ice spun around the half demon sometimes faster hen slower the imp was toying with him which only furthered pissed him off.*

when get out of this m going to make this jackass wish he'd never messed with me.

*flexing is claws he was about to bust out of the icy prison when he noticed the kunochi running up to them.*

what the hell is she thinking! You idiot...shes gonna get herself hurt..

[before he could lash out at the ninja he noticed the swirling water seemed to have come to a stop. He could breathe now, still trapped int he ice block but no longer drowning in the icy water. Looking up he saw ryo still perched above him, confused he looked in front of him yume now up close and personal with his ice cage.]

heh well guess thats good that he realized her presence luckily for her he stopped...

“InuYasha – just admit you’ve lost!

*stopping mid thought he spotted the beads in yumes hand, everything the young ninja was saying was now making sense. Smirking he glanced up at ryo the focused fully on yume, giving her a slight nod that he understood and that he'd play along.*

Keh this puny runt couldnt handle them and you know it..... why he hell would i want this arrogant a** hole.

*he propped himself up against the ice wall his arrogance and smugness shinning through his every word. Wouldn't be to long now that ryo would take the bait. He was having a hard time not to smile or laugh evilly at the imps expense*

Besides he couldnt even harm me....and if he thinks this stupid little ice cage is actually holding me here hes got another thing coming.

*To proves his point further he smashed his hand through the icy wall causing it to crash and crunch under the weight of ryo being on top the imp now falling to the ground landing on his butt. Inuyasha now fee shook him self dry of the icy water that drenched his fire rat robes*

Heh see he wouldnt be able to handle them. Dont even bother trying to get him to even put them on. He probably couldnt even figure out how to use them.

After countless attempts, Seon was getting nowhere. The only thing he'd managed to do was tire himself out almost to the point of passing out. The only think keeping him going was his sheer willpower - he would figure this out and get to Kara if it killed him...

It was then that he felt a shift in the darkness around him. The Inu's tired eyes gleamed with renewed energy as they darted around, trying to find the source of this change. It didn't take but a second for his crimson eyes to fall upon a small orb of golden light; ignoring his tired limbs, Seon quickly made his way over to this small ray of hope, praying it would help him escape and get to the female demoness beyond this prison. As he neared it, he knelt down in front of the small light, his heart skipping a beat at what he saw: a small tablet, with messy notes written all over its surface. Seon immediately recognized this as the tablet from when he was just a youngster, the same one which he and Kara had used to talk to each other in secret when they weren't able to see each other...

Reaching toward the tablet, Seon was just about to grasp it when the light surrounding the object seemed to repel him, almost like a barrier. Wincing, Seon pulled his hand back slowly, as he studied the strange light before him. The male noted in the back of his head that it was warm, and had a gentle feel to it...but there was something else there too. Closing his eyes, he focused on the scent emanating from the stone slab before him, and was a bit surprised at what he discovered. This was, in fact, not the same tablet he and Kara had used as pups - this was a replica made only from youki...it wasn't even a physical slab of rock. Guess he should have expected that...how would it have gotten here in the first place?

Seon's eyes slid open slowly then as he inspected the light before him, with some slight understanding finally at what was going on here. The scent, this youki...and what got him here in the first place - it was all connected to the very person who sealed him here. Finding his voice, Seon spoke up softly, in a low whisper, ""Akane-sama...this is your doing, isn't it?"

Just then the light around the tablet flickered, before it started to grow in size and change shape. Seon watched in a mix of quiet awe and concern as the figure before him became familiar, showing that he had been right. Akane, Kara's long-deceased chichi-ue, was responsible for this. Now resembling a slightly transparent version of Kara's father, the apparition was watching the young Inu male before him closely, with some emotion Seon just couldn't place flickering within his eyes. Narrowing his eyes, Seon spoke up with a firm, demanding tone, "Back when you were dying, you asked if I would do anything to protect Kara. When I answered yes, this isn't exactly what I had in mind...there was no way for me to protect her, sealed in this damn hellhole..! Why did you do this?"

The apparition of Akane's eyes closed as his expression seemed to grow pained. When he spoke, his ethereal voice held a small hint of that pain within its tone, "Seon, I know that I have wronged you...but there was a reason. When I asked you that question, you gave the correct response...I did not seal you here to punish you. No, I sealed you here to help keep your words, and to test the bond you shared with my daughter..."

Seon could feel some anger and frustration start to well up in side him now, and as he spoke he had to try to contain the venomous words he wanted to let loose, "Help keep my word? Why couldn't I have done it out there, in the light with her? Why did you feel the need to--" And that was when it clicked. Akane had felt the only way for Seon to keep his word, was to join his fellow Yami Inu in this shadowy abyss, sealed away from the world of light. He must have been concerned that he would turn on Kara, perhaps even hurt her...

Thoughts racing, Seon mulled over what he'd just realized, before asking about that last bit the old dog had said, "Test the bond..? What do you mean by that? How is there anything to test if you just wanted to seal me here to protect Kara..?"

The older Inu surprised Seon then. A small smile had managed to form on the apparition's lips - that was a facial expression that Seon had only ever seen used for Kara.

"Back then, you protected Kara...and you tried to save my life as well. However, since I would not be there to watch over the two of you, I wanted to truly test just how far you would go to protect each other...and Kara has proven she'd go through hell just to save you...and you would be willing to wait in Hell for an eternity, believing that she would one day find you, and trusting in that thought, never once growing bitter or resenting her..."

Kneeling before Seon, Akane looked the Inu before him directly in the eye before continuing, "I'm afraid my time is now officially up. The light that made up the older Inu's apparition began to slowly fade then as he trailed off, a sad smile on his face.

Seon took in Akane's words slowly, processing everything the older Inu told him. Despite everything, he could feel all of his earlier anger and bitterness melt away at Akane's words. As the apparition before him finished speaking and began to fade, Seon met his gaze head on, complete understanding shown within the crimson depths. The older Inu seemed to sigh in relief that Seon understood, and slowly parts of himself started to break down into just light once more. No words needed, Seon closed his eyes and felt the youki from Akane-sama start to seep into his body. Almost instantly, the young Inu felt as though he had regained all of his lost strength, his youki spiking instantly upon absorbing the 'gift' Kara's father had given him.

Once he felt all of Akane's youki was absorbed, Seon's eyes opened to reveal a touch of crimson around the outer edge of the whites of them, and he spoke in a quiet, respectful tone, "Even though I hated having to deal with a 300 year's long lesson...thank you, Akane-sama. Rest well...and I promise you, I'll keep Kara safe. No matter what." Standing tall with the most energy Seon had felt in decades, dark energy swirled around Seon as the red receded from his eyes as he gained control over his new-found energy. Using his control over the Shadow Realm, Seon raised an arm before him, summoning a gateway outside of his prison back out into the part of this hellish world that Kara currently was in.

Smirking, Seon could immediately smell Kara's scent 10 times stronger then he had previously. He was almost free...he was almost back with her.

"Kara...I'll be there soon." 'And you better be damn ready to see me..!'

What sort thing could that be and when did humans acquire ability to make a demon stronger or even desire to? weren't humans and demons by nature enemies? What else in this upturned area has he not learned? Everything is different here than in the caps. In the caps the demons battled one another and slaughter any poor human that somehow found their way to the lands. And a hanyou here is also highly regarded when it is often considered they don't belong anywhere. He didn't follow any of it but he was curious about this source of power they were talking about. He just needs to take a look at it to be convinced. ]

                                    Show me this power of your's. If it truly a human gift for a youkai, I want to see why a demon would need it. You simply need a target right. Then something so simple as a water minion should be completely easy to defeat with that skill. here..

It did not resemble the water men that Yasou often creates for "convenient and non-suspicious looking traveling"...least as Yasou would think. This monster of Ryo's creation was made of solid ice with sharp edges and menacing eyes. and it wasted no time slamming it's enormous clawed hand down at Inuyasha, making the hanyou have to jump out of the way to avoid being crushed. ]

*Seeing inuyasha leap high in the air to avoid the ice demons claws gave kagome to perfect opportunity to s-i-t him. She knew hed be furious with her and part of her worried that inuyasha slamming down into the demon would seriously hurt him but this was her only chance t get ryo to believe that he need the beads. Inuyasha would forgive her right?*

*Leaping in the air avoiding the claw with ease inuyasha prepared his self to smash through the giant ice block with his fists, maybe even use Iron Reaver Soul Stealer. But before he could even land a blow the dreaded sit word rang through his ears causing him to instead slam face first down through the ice smashing it below him.*

[after the dust settled and the ice giant was no more you can see a livid hanyou spring up from the ground. He was unharmed but more then just angry he was furious, his angry gaze directed towards kagome. How could she! I could have easily defeated that! She just sat him for no reason at all or a least that's all he could focus on]

Focusing his now irritated annoying glance down at the ninja who still had her hand firmly placed over his mouth her stern gaze daring him to even try saying another word. Backing enough away from her to remove her hand from his face he resumed his usual arrogant stature the annoyance how ever still in place.]
