Scripted or staged is the right term. If wrestling was fake then it wouldn't exist and people only say it exists.
No, fake is the right term...just as movies, tv, etc. are fake. Fake doesn't mean "doesn't exist"...that would be nonexistent. Fake means the storylines, competition aspect, outcomes, etc. are not legit... i.e. it's not real. Fans trying to squirm their way out of saying that it's fake gives the rest of us a bad name.
Though the pro wrestling itself can't be fake. It would be fake if UFC claimed that they're pro wrestlers.
No...it's still fake. Sure, there are guys in a ring doing something...but that doesn't make pro wrestling real. Quit trying to find a loophole...you make wrestling fans look bad.
And no...if UFC claimed they were in the business of pro wrestling...that wouldn't be fake...that'd be a lie.
The word fake is associated with words fraud and impostor. The storylines and other things you said can be called fake, but the acrobatics and acting part is real. You can't say mankind getting thrown down by taker down the cell was fake. It was staged, but real.
Oh good, you can use a thesaurus...thing is, your argument is still s**t. When there is discussion on whether pro wrestling is real or not, no one's contemplating whether there are actual people in the ring. And injuries sustained during moves which try to limit injuries don't suddenly make wrestling real either. What the discussion is about is whether there is a legit competition going on...and there isn't. Wrestling is fake...get the ******** over it.
