There actually are "giant" and "king" bettas, but they're kinda controversial to the breeding world.

And yeah, template is huge xD As for the scales in the hidden layer, they are there only for reference for dragon scaled bettas or marbles or whoever. I was originally going to make them part of the lineart and try to tie them in with the shading, but it looked too cluttered and would have taken away from any markings.
