P i x i e -x- BOMB
I'm posting this with the express hope that nobody here corrects my grammar. I understand it's experimental, but it's really the least of my worries at this point:

“Sorry, sorry,” he offered in apology, “it’s ju-“

“Yeah, yeah, I know,” Dom muttered with a sigh, “You’re just nervous ‘cause of them beastly *Editors everywhere.”

‘If only that were the half of it…’ Lyle thought with a grimace. His mind surged with the dull throb of memories and a quickly-brewing headache. He tried to banish the thought of the golden pen and the book that slaughtered so many in the name of crimson-coated justice, only to see her standing as the focal point to a ring of bodies. Innocent men, women and children lay as testament to her will and ability to exercise the law. Her zeal and passion ran the city streets scarlet. Differences, Opinions, Expressions, Creativity, Paradigms – she’d glare her eyes and call them an infection and she’d cut, hack and prune the mistakes of society until red spilled from the throat, stained the ground below and covered the world in the sweet oblivion of white pallor and black shrouds.

‘She’ll be there today...’

* The Editors are literally a police force. I know it's a bit sappy, but I couldn't think of a better name for them, and the name's kind of grown on me.

I know y'all asked for a line, but umm...that bit just jumped at me...Aaaand rambling ends now.

I -like- the title of Editors for the police. Gives a very 1984 dark world feel. Don't second guess yourself there! Good luck on NaNo! I'm up there as AstraCrompton if anyone wants to buddy with me?

Mysterious! Makes me wonder what he wished for and what dire consequences came of it. You make me wish to know the beginning and the after! Excellent work.

I will definitely keep you updated
“She is, Tawnii.” Jun slid his hand over his face in frustration. “This is all so ******** stupid. Why hasn’t a revolution started yet? Victoire had one, and they’re only better for it!”

“If you love Victoire so much, why don’t you move there?” A young man with his hair in two low ponytails remarked, looking over at Jun as he effortlessly rolled a blunt. “I love my country, why don’t you?”

“Shut up, Salvador. No one loves you, or your opinions.”

Salvador licked the blunt and sealed it shut. “Terrorist.”

“Maybe she will actually be a good ruler?” The cook said, wiping his hands on his apron and coming to rest his chin on his husband Jun’s shoulder. A thin, wispy woman with long hair scoffed from her place next to Salvador.

“Dream the ******** on, August. Do the math. It was like, what, fifteen years ago some chick came claiming Victor was her ‘baby daddy’, wasn’t it? And she was from Chartreuse. This is definitely the same kid.” She paused to take a puff from the blunt Salvador had lit. “This b***h is a wangsty teenager. This is going to go all bad unless she gets sniped at her coronation.”

Not in front of the baby,” A man with an infant in a sling against his chest whispered, looking scandalized as he pressed his hands over his daughter’s tiny ears. “I don’t want her to know about death yet.”

“Dude, she’s like a day old—”

Three months.”

Setsuna merely stared at him.

“Setsuna’s right, though,” Tawnii said, setting her tray down. “Only thing is, I don’t think she has to die. I think the girl’s a puppet for the church to gain control.”

It was a non-sense celebration that we all can live without. But the old people would definitely burn me alive if they found out about this thought of mine. It is a law to celebrate it annually. Stupid, law. It was one more reason why I hated this place; too much restriction for a very wide planet. There was no need for such a law. Everyone enjoys those celebrations even without that law. Well, maybe not everyone. I don’t like that law.

Julia was always sleeping in the middle and had trouble deciding which of her sisters to lay closer to. She loved them both dearly but unfortunately she loved them so much that at night she didn't know which could provide more sleeping comfort without the other getting jealous. She would often cry when she thought the other sister would hate her for her choice.

This is an amusing thread. I'll post my favorite line when I find it.

"Let this be a lesson to you then; you don't dump water on sleeping Humans." She said with a smile.

OR this entire conversation:
Quote:

"Oh, so you made us stop at the markets to buy fruit and now you are going to just eat it all before we even get to the rainforest?" Livia shot back, with a smile of her own.

"Now, now I was only going to eat this one!" He took a large bite out of the apple. "Plus, you don't want your escort to go hungry now. After all, what if we get attacked and I'm to hungry to fight."

"I can easily fend for my self if that's the case." She stated smugly.

"Oh really, how so?"

"I can just use you as a shield! Those scales of yours are pretty tough aren't they?" Livia burst into laughter at her own joke. "Or I can try and pick you up and use you as a weapon!" Dagda just shook his head with a smile.

"But then what if I'm too heavy for you?" He decided to play along. "After all I am taller than you as well."

"Well then... I could just use my secret Human fighting skills. It makes up for the lack of magic, you know." Livia was blatantly making all of this up as she went along, but she was amusing herself. "I wasn't originally going to say anything about it, because they are a secret, obviously."

"Oh I had no idea you humans were so good at fighting, maybe you will end up needing to save me." Dagda joked.

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone if you do need me to save you." Was the teasing response.

"Oh yes that makes me feel so much better. Now I can sleep sound tonight knowing that I will be safe and no one will know of my embarrassing human girl savior." He sarcastically remarked.

"Good. Because we wouldn't want you all loopy and tired all the time." Livia said.

"Oh, so I can't eat but it's okay if I sleep. That's cool." He joked. "I see how it is."

Sailing on a large boat
With you, I embark on a time travel
"As each new piece of my puzzle begins to form a greater picture, I lose track of the pieces of myself, petals being stripped one-by-one as if plucked by a hopeless romantic murmuring "she loves me, she loves me not," in repetitive, agonizing succession until coming to the tragic conclusion that no one honestly loves any girl enough to weather the stripped-bare coquette hiding behind her mangled mirror, insecure in all the wrong places."
“You’re not Naomi,” He told her, confidently. It felt like my brain was running a marathon, trying to keep up with the well-formed words the six-year-old child was saying.
“’Naomi’ is my mummy’s name. You’re not mummy.” The boy pulled a gun from his belt, the same one that he had tried to shoot at me with, to begin with. He leveled it with his mother’s head, and in that moment, my mind sped up. I knew exactly what was going to happen before it happened – he squeezed the trigger, a defiant look on his face, and the bang that sounded seemed to shake him to the core, but he kept that same face. The New-Dead – his mother – fell to the ground, perhaps the shortest-lived zombie I had ever seen, becoming real dead before even eating her first full meal. The Live One fell to his knees beside me, too, holding the smoking revolver with shaking hands. Not only his hands were shaking – all of him was. He realigned the nozzle of the gun to my head with that same, hard look – the one that meant he had grown up far, far too quickly, because we – the zombies – had forced him to.

'But optimism is easy when things are good. Maybe it's even easy when things are just beginning to fall apart. I suppose that if, no, when, things get worse than this, optimism will be necessary for survival. But at this stage, optimism has been completely and utterly forgotten. And that's the way I like it.'

I have no idea what part of my brain this came from, but...

“And what is this about me settling for bacon? It is blasphemous to suggest that one would eat bacon merely in the absence of something superior. If I ever hear the words “settle” and “bacon” leave your lips in the same sentence on any future occasion, I will cease to associate myself with you.”

Moonlight Pirate

"....pillars appeared out of nowhere in front of distracted pedestrians, quickly greeting their lowered heads with a painful “hello”."

This is a fragment of that paragraph, but I really don't want to tell too much about my story yet.
