I get jealous of one of the girls I go to school with all the time.
She got pregnant at 16 and did A LOT of crazy stupid things you should never ever ever ever do while pregnant and the only thing wrong with that baby was that she was a month early.
Anyway, she got married to the daddy, he joined the Army and he got to freaking come home early from BT when the baby was born.
AND he got stationed in Colorado.
AND he won't be deploying until at least the end of next year.
AND his field duties are for two weeks tops.
And she complains about how horrible it is to be an Army wife while she lives next door to her father, never takes care of her gorgeous daughter, and parties every weekend with no worries whatsoever.

Everyone knows that Chris would divorce her if he wouldn't lose the baby.
She's CRAZY.
Who the hell does xtc while knowing you're pregnant and drinks alcohol all the time??

Sorry 'bout the rant.
I get worked up over things like that.
Especially when I did everything right in my pregnancy and lost my baby.
That kills me the most; how some women can easily take so much for granted.

No child deserves to be in the situation that she's in.
I used to be really close to the girl until she started getting all dramatic and whiny.
Some people should never open their legs to reproduce.
I'd sorta understand if the baby was an accident, but she did it to make Chris stay.

The court system is unfairly harsh on that.
They'll see it as Chris being active military, and the father of the baby.
Which, for some reason, is frowned on by courts.
IMO Single dads can be just as good.
But whatever.
Courts don't like to take babies away from their mothers.
It would be one hell of a fight to try to gain custody of the baby.
And there's no one doing a damn thing about any of the children in this town who should be protected.
Grace isn't the only baby who needs help and it sickens me.
Everyone says that foster care is so damn horrible, people are afraid to step in to get these children into better homes.
I've called soo many people to get help for her baby and no one has done anything.
Not even looked into it.

Her dad is an okay man sometimes.
He's high 90% of the time.
I have issues with that.
But when her and I were close, he was always pretty cool.
Maybe not the "dad" type for a baby though.
And her mom is where the crazy comes from.

It's Chris's parents and sister who take care of the baby.
Which, is alright.
I know his family well.
But the baby still goes home with the girl at the end of the day.
Breaks my heart.
