I was thinking about this once. d: Which do most people prefer? Paleness or tan? Most of the time it seems like I hear tan but I have also heard people say they prefer paler skin.

I can like both, but personally I generally prefer pale. I kind of wish I was more pale myself.

I am very white, I absolutely do not tan. I might get like one shade darker in the summer, but I am still whiter than everyone I know. So, I have a vested interest in pale.

On another note, whenever I hear these sort of conversations at school, people always seem to be discussing the two extremes, tan or pale. I don't hear about a nice medium very often. That surprises me because now that I think about it, it does seem like most people would prefer something in the middle. Too much tan can look fake and too much pale makes one look like a ghost.

I still like pale a bit better though even though it's sickly looking at times. d:

I don't have a preferance, as long as it's natural.

There's nothing in this world that makes a person more artificial-looking than fake tan, you can always tell it's not real, and it looks horrible.
