gonk There is nothing wrong with being quiet but I personally HATE being around quiet people.

It is so exhausting to keep a conversation going...
I prefer being around extroverted, loud and confident people, it makes things easier. xd

People are judgmental about it, which is completely stupid. It's "that" stereotype about quiet people being stuck up or rude, which is not true at all.
I'm actually the most talkative around quiet people because they don't exhaust you when you're talking to them.

Well, why do you think they talk to each other?

1. They think the others are interesting people whom they want to get to know better
2. They think the things that they're talking about are interesting
3. They don't have anything more important to do
4. They want to ingratiate themselves to each other

If you're around other people a lot and don't particularly want to talk to them, it implies that you think they're boring people who have boring conversations, and that you would rather think about something more important than talk to them because you have absolutely no desire to cultivate a connection with them.

Now, you probably don't mean that in a bad way, but you can see why people might take offense.

I don't think there's anything wrong with being quiet. I was very quiet myself and even today I would still be considered somewhat of an introvert, especially around people I've only just met or in large groups of people. It's about being happy and being able to do the things you like.
