How the hell is she ruining her own life and her parents?

Lets see, parents get jail time and a fine. Kid gets taken away from them. Probably gets put in a foster home, or becomes a ward of the sate. In which case the parents probably wont see her again. Oh, parents probably get a felony record now as well.

Not to mention she could get put in a abusive foster home.

These days it seems likely. Not sure, but I think foster homes get money from the state for how many kids they have to care for, same as welfare moms get extra cash for how many kids they have. Some people care more about the extra cash than the kids.

Yes, they do get paid quite well for fostering. I know a woman who wishes to be a foster parent for just that reason. Never mind that she doesn't like her own kids, wishes she never had them, and has only managed to care for them via welfare for their entire lives, she cannot understand why they will not give her money for kids to foster.

So a little girl would conjure a story about her parent's selling pot? Does that sound anywhere logical to you...? The parent's didn't even retaliate to the accusations that they were using, selling and giving pot to the dog. And yes, it's in the article... Fine. They gave the bloody dog pot. Happy? it sounds to me, the girl was lead to do this by an older relative. when I was 8, I had no idea what pot was, but my mom had been using it to treat her chronic back pain. hell, I even found a pipe once in her room and had no idea what it was, until like, 5 or 6 years later when I met a stoner.

The kid was definitely not raised by those parents. Otherwise, normal every day operation wouldn't bug her, also the child being well taken care of, kind of leads to this conclusion. I do beleive that a child CAN be well taken care of in such circumstances, BUT the fact that she was upset about it, means that she is NOT used to being around such things. BEAR IN MIND THIS IS SPECULATION. So, if said speculation is true, those are some shitty parents. She was not being a little turd in any way, she was doing what she thought was right, which was NOT taught by her parents.

Kids however, should NOT be raised around ILLEGAL activities. And so I applaud her, and hope she has a bright future.
