Yeah...I WAS into that married s**t but then I thought about it and was like hell no! I'd rather just leave then have to deal with divorce (divorce is expensive) No thank you! My bf already calls me wife and that's fine with me as long as I don't have to sign anything! He proposed to me 2 years ago and want's to get married after the baby but I'm like nah I'm good smile

and eh, people get married quickly and boom, surprise surprise they get married to someone they don't really know. And there's always the issue of well, people change. Although I'm not gonna lie if she was puling the we'll always be together crap I would have hauled a** to the attorney's anyway to get one. I'm not saying that marriage/relationships can't last, but with the divorce rate around 50%, you need to be realistic.

Hey, I'm not saying I don't wish marriages would work.
But let's hope that the whole indecisive, hypergamous, emotional incoherence of women in our generation will die down with age.
Otherwise we're gonna have alot of desperate, single middle aged women with regrets 20 years from now. lol

I think we all have that hope, dude.
It's just that some of us are sick of being expendable to the opposite sex.
Even the way laws are set up, it doesn't seem to support a union as much as an individual. emotion_donotwant

Marriage sucks because it's so expected of you now.

Like you hit a certain age and people keep asking you if you're married yet. Social norms bully people into settling with someone, getting hitched, and popping out kids, even if they're not ready.

Then the relationship declines, the woman wins everything because of custody and the maternal social stereotype, and men get taken to the cleaners.

There is such a thing as people who are good on being married. There are just too many others who just do it because it's expected.

Other than an old world family, I can't see anyone expecting other people to get married.
They may pull that old Jewish mother spiel, "When're you gonna give a grandson?"
But it's nothing more than ball busting.
Actually, kids are getting married today because they think they're always going to feel warm and fuzzy.
They don't think of how much work a marriage is.
