I love the retro feel architecture of Durem. And I also love many characters there, like Moira and Vanessa.

How about Halloween Town? It's in the map too.

I personally like Durem. It has the most realistic look to it also; although it looks too dull.
Barton is also really nice, it was the first one which makes it somewhat special seeming.

I was torn between Barton and Gambino, so I couldn't make a decision.

I would probably choose Barton if I had to make a choice though - after all it resembles a typical fantasy town and is the center of the Gaian world. Though I haven't been following the story, Ian, Rina and Leon are some of my more favorite characters anyway.

Gambino, while I don't care much for the town itself, does have the marketplace and is probably the most expensive city in the world. I thought Gino was pretty cool back during the whole thing where Sasha liked him, and in turn that made me like Sasha as a character somewhat, but I felt bad because Ian was constantly getting treated like crap. And also, who can deny Johnny K. Gambino's power as one of the most intimidating characters in the game world?

The other towns I really didnt like any of the characters who reside there. Edmund makes a good well-to-do gentleman and accomplice to Gambino, but other than that I don't care about anyone else really. Durem is a very nice-looking city, it reminds me a lot of Europe, but the people there are meh, too 'hip' for me I guess. Aekea looks like a dump and is too futuristic for me, and the guy that runs crate and apparel is too much of a jock, though I do shop there sometimes.
