If the new Programmers/Game Developers research the "Mannerisms" of the Existing rods' nature.. and continuity of thought in their design.. would it not seem logical to introduce the Demonic Rod at a number that is consistent with "folklore" i.e. the Triple Sixes < representing the Lords of Hellish Demeanor> ?
I was pushing around the 666,666 Total/fish/junk as the mark.

since the Angelic design is consistent with the Strength's and Performance Rods

Rare fish can be caught at any distance.

I have heard one Fisher say that He/She Auto-Hooked a Rare..

How rare is that?..Very Rare i would venture to repeat

everything in a game is a possibility .. it all depends on the intent of the developers..
I for one know that there is a reason for making moves in a game that has an indicator for it.

okay back to your question specifically..

There are so many perks in this game that to reveal all of them would put

<for example a >

1. Trader/Vendor at a disadvantage/ listing them in an open forum to competitors
2. Making a step by step Video of every catch in a lake at a specific location on a Mini Map
>would also make it a disadvantage to the leaderboard competitors.

Suggestion:

Take the time to evaluate the situation yourself..
spend a day< about 9 buckets in one location>
then switch
<make your decision either on real time or /on gaia time of day>
to another location on another day and do another 9 buckets.. all things being equal (rods+ bait) then after a week...

See what your experience is based on from gathering info of your experience and compare to
same location but not with the same rod and bait/ but ones that are different from the first testing..

See if refreshing your fishing hole page after every 4 buckets have /or /make a difference.

this is what I tell my friends ... who like to know the intimate details of this most wonderful game
but if you are just "hustling" .. then I guess you and I will only see each other now and then.

depends on the fish, but if you price em along the lines of the lowest market price usually
