we do a similar trip here with my family....
we usually visit my dad's family first
and then we go to my mom's and sometime we go back....
lol, I think every year is different...
but thats basically the idea...
we visit both grandmas the same night lol
oh! and this is Christmas eve....
we visit more relatives on Christmas morning xD

Most of my family lives in the same town, so we usually meet up at my grandparent's place, then we all go over to the home where my great-grandma stays.
It's kinda sad that she's one of the only people there who gets visitors at all.
I mean, I feel lucky to even have a great-grandparent that's still living. It bothers me a bit that the other people there don't have family that regularly visits them.

Anyway... Gabe's grandparent's (his mom's parents) divorced a while ago, so they live in different places.
So when it comes to his family, we have to go all over the place.
Which wouldn't be so bad if it didn't cost so much to do that.

For Thanksgiving, and maybe Christmas too, Chris's parents just invite a few family members over who all live nearby and have a little dinner or lunch.
Last year for Christmas we had lasagna. xD;; But it was really good.
And since we were living with them at the time, there was absolutely no trouble for us and it was great.
This year we'll have to drive 2 hours to them, then 2 hours back because we are pretty against spending the night.
But it should be alright. They just sit around drinking and socializing.

That's hilarious because my grandma made lasagna for Easter this year, and we normally have ham.
It was really weird, but awesome.
I love lasagna.

I went to a party and got plastered even though I had school the next day. I had to beg someone to take me and I got dropped off only to find out that my class was frigg'n canceled.

Lol it's funny my parents said the same thing but he was there and you could tell he really had bronchitis. As someone that's got it so many times I knew he was really suffering. He had a doctor's appointment that would happen before class was over so that's why there was no class. I did tell him 'You mean I came here this hung over for nothing? Of course!' XD

Holiday food I like is pretty simple: A homemade apple pie, a spiraled glazed ham, stuffing with craisens, and lots of egg nog. Very traditional. Though this year with my culinary experience I'm high in demand for making desserts and I'm like 'uhm...no. This is my vacation from culinary school i dun wanna see the inside of a kitchen unless I'm getting some hard cider'. XD
