Nope. Since X and Y use the 3DS friends codes and the Pal Pad doesn't exist anymore.

I actually don't know anyone who got both X and Y, but maybe you can do a quick Google search to see if anyone has posted about that anywhere?

I'd imagine that it won't matter, and you'll still have the same friend code for each, since it's a 3DS friend code, not a game specific friend code.

Yeah, you guys wouldn't be able to trade Pokemon because you'd both have to be online or at least near each other at the same time.

You could always get a 2DS, or look for a used 3DS. It'd be cheaper that way.

well in animal crossing when someone is sharing a town with like their brother or sister, it shows like, the other person's name when you try to visit the town

for example for me it would usually say Anny - Quackton but if i had someone else it would say Name - Quackton

but you share the same friend code

I guess for x/y it would be the same, but you would be able to differentiate by the character's name or their pokemon ID thing

to your other post: the FC thing would be a problem, but if you cant get another 3ds or 2ds you could get like another friend to trade pokemon to and then switch games and trade it to your brother lol

my friend helped me do that with some pokemon when i wanted to trade some from diamond to white

Just change the time on your DS back to Halloween if you can't really be on that day.

Yeah, I definitely think a 2DS was a smart buy for anyone who didn't already have a 3DS.
It seemed so stupid to me at first, but honestly if I hadn't gotten a 3DS last year, I would've looked into a 2DS.
