Oh, but you may not have your Pal Pad yet, depending on where you are in the game.
You get it after beating the Striaton City gym, then you have to get an item and give it to a certain person before they give you the Pal Pad.
At least I believe that's how it goes for Black and White...
Besides, I think that's the first gym, anyway.
