Most of the people on my ignore list are from 2005, and they were porn spammers. I do have one guy on there, because his signature is a bee in someones eye, and I have a really bad fear of bees. I can't look at that picture without freaking out. I don't know if I'm on someones ignore list, but I'm sure I am.

- Why do you hit the ignore button?

I hit the ignore button for various almost reasonable purposes, first and foremost are spammers on Towns. The second are cyberers. The last group of people I ignore are the users I've had problems with, whether it's something they've done or how ignorant/conceited they acted. I also added their close friends onto the list, so to avoid further conflict. Oh, and did I mention that my aim isn't too good? So if I miss my target and hit someone else- I just leave them there on the list.

- Do you think people ignore people for petty reasons?

Surely, some do. Who? Well, who knows?

- Have you ever ignored someone for something you think might have been a little silly?

Yes- Someone came up to me and asked, "Have we spoken to each other before? I think your username was something else..." and I replied with, "I'm sure you're mistaken. My username has always been Elektel- For a few years now." Then some random guy comes up and blatantly intrudes into our conversation- Said, "lolol, no your not the only elektel." I ignored him. I hate it when people intrude into my proper conversations.

- Have you ever been ignored?

I'm pretty sure I have. Just don't know who.

- What do you think about the concept of white/black lists?

Those lists retain some order in the thread, but of course, it does not prevent it from causing any further disruptions. It is also, somewhat petty to me. To put someone's username there for all to see, just because of a little scuffle. I thought that namedropping was frowned upon on Gaia, so why should those black/white lists be any different from namedropping? But since, black and white lists do exist and thrive, I would understand if it was something terrible like posting explicit photos or- Something along those lines. In that case, it needs to be reported.

I tried ignoring my a** one day... But it didn't work out so well... But I did manage to sit on it for quite some time. You should see the indention it made on the chair i was sitting on!!! Its hard to ignore it especially when...well you know...
When duty calls it calls LOUD AND CLEAR!

The only time I ever use the ignore button is when I see image trolls. Or if someone harasses me (for example, if they continue to contact me excessively, after I've tried multiple times to get them to stop).

Other than that, I don't use the ignore button all that often. I guess it's because I'm pretty tolerable of people (even on the internet).

I've been here 8 years, and only have 3 people and one mod on there.

And I am 99.95 % sure I am on someone's ignore list. Easy way to tell is to look up a thread they've made. Take their profile number, got to the "My Threads" link, open it, then put the profile number at the end of the url. if you can post in the thread, then you aren't blocked.

And one thing that might be handy, is if they added an option, to where if you are on someone's ignore list, you cannot see their threads either.

In the four years I've been on Gaia I have never once used the ignore button. If I see inappropriate content, I report the user rather then block them. In my case, I don't see something as trivial as a font color as a good enough reason to warrant adding somebody to my ignore list. The only time I'd seriously consider resorting to the ignore button is if a user was continuously harassing me. Hopefully, it'll never come to that~
