I was just wondering, are addicted to gambling?
It's funny because today I lost 20mil from gambling.
All thanks to the new RIG.

I got a Sandman Dreams in the first bundle and got too excited. =))

Discuss:

- Do you ever get addicted to gambling til you lost more than you earned?
- Do you get satisfaction / fun from taking the risks?
Note: Not just RIGs, but Gaia gambling itself (casino, bets, etc)

I just did and I actually had fun even though I had to burn ALL of September's profit. =))
Definitely my last time playing a RIG. ;p

On Gaia? No. I did get addicted to gambling on TinierMe which feels to me a LOT more severe of a case when it comes to gambling since everything you get there is from gambling. But, I digress and like I said on Gaia I never gamble. In fact I do not condone gambling in the least bit [yeah I know I got caught up on TM, but damn it I wanted one item that I never got! classified_fu ], and while I do not judge those who do gamble, I just find it to be one huge scam to get people to pay money just to end up never getting what they want.

Do you get satisfaction / fun from taking the risks?

No, I do not find taking risks fun. Taking risks is yes part of life, but to find them fun is not something I do. When I take a risk I become a nervous wreck because I know I will probably fail at taking said risk. I like to know what it is I am dealing with and that I will be able to obtain the said task without having a chance at failing. I guess that is my problem, I do not like failing so it makes me jaded on taking risks.

Thats a bummer Easley, I honestly don't play the rigs anymore because I've only lost with them. Now I browse through the convenient item lists and see if there's even any items I would want then just buy them off the MP with gold.

Once you win in RIGs you kind of get the urge to keep playing, there is that little voice inside your head saying "It could happen again y'know? Play again!" - At least that's what's going on in my head lol If I got lucky once, I can get lucky twice!
Of course, it's an expensive hobby and you gotta weigh the chances and the value of the actual items... But you never know... Once won a MIlk the Cat in a RIG long after Milk was released.. And suddenly... All my expenses had been covered.. And even more emotion_dealwithit

This. I don't play the RIGs anymore and I've lost interest in Slots and these games.

For the most part, no. I don't have too big of a problem gambling on Gaia.
When RIGs first came out, I think I might have overdone playing them for about a week.
I learned my lesson & swore never to do that again! xD
(Luck on Gaia is scarce for me, heh.)

But. There have been times when my Mom (who also is on Gaia) & I have fun with RIG bundles.
She'll buy a ton & we'll open them all together. She has such amazing luck & is very generous.
I'll occasionally get some gold or pretty items when this happens.
Basically, I'm only a gambler if she enables me in some way with RIGs. Hahaha.

I do get addicted to the RIG's because I always assume I'm going to win big, This month it payed off as I got the RIG pet, but then I got over excited and wasted another 7-8mil trying to get other nice items D;

I just need to learn when to stop xp

I get a little bit of that RIG thing, when the fortune egg came out I won chickie slippers and you better believe I was excited lol Ever since I play the rig every month but I prefer the months where i can sell the rig in it's various stages, I hate when it's locked to you >< that's when you lose all your gold in my opinion. Now I like to just get all my rigs, hope for one of the ultimate prize forms to happen and sell it for 1-2mil, made 4 mil on that last month.

I can't say that I've ever been hooked to gambling on Gaia (or anywhere else). Most months I'll buy a RIG single to play, but that's just an indulgence for me to look at the art. I don't actually expect to get anything nice from it. This month, my single yielded me Rat King, and while I never expect Gaia to turn out anything nice from my single, I thought they were pushing it a bit far this time xd . Seriously- that item is just creepy.

Best item I've won would be a Kunoichi Chaos. Other than that, I've only ever got fails or mid-level items, worth under 100k. I played a full AC Bundle of Digital Rainbow & got total rubbish, then went out and spent another 1.5 mil on the items I actually wanted xd

I do hope that the people who play know when to stop, and that the odds are stacked seriously against you when it comes to getting a nice item. I just hope that next month's fail items are cuter than Rat King.

I'm addicted to RIG's. I love buying them and seeing what I get, so I will admit I have a bit of an addiction. sweatdrop I however, am not a big fan of slots. In real life I can spend hours playing slots, but the Gaia slots are super boring in my opinion.

Gaia eats my hard earned money so I can fuel my RIG addiction.
