Situated in the Chinatown of Durem is a business that operates as three different cash fronts. Its public front is a bar, the night club where people can come to relax, drink, and talk with other night dwellers. A bartender is always available, offering some of the most exquisite drinks one can find. However, this part of the club is not the most active one. Normally, this public front is hardly crowded. There is usually just one or two people hanging out here who might want to be kept alone as they drown themselves into a drink. The fun happens just behind another set of doors.

On the other side of these doors lies a much larger venue which is a lot more active. This is the casino. Roulette, blackjack, slot machines, mahjong, you name it, it's probably here. Waitresses serve happily to participating customers, even giving free drinks to those still throwing money to the games, an incentive to keep them playing. The winning ratio is just enough not to have everyone win, but to give them enough taste to keep them spinning the chips. For those looking for socialization rather than gambling, there is another room attached to the casino. Here, the more talk-savvy customers can freely talk among each other while enjoying drinks and possibly the company of hostesses who are employed to offer conversation. Even if a customer is not here for women, they will likely find some one to talk.

Employee-Only Areas

The second floor is where only employees are allowed to go. Here rest the more office-looking areas of the business, from a lounge to the big office of the owner himself. Visitors wishing to speak with the owner are usually allowed up here, but their area of access is still restricted. A small gym lies up here, as well, used by the more physical-orientated people of this establishment. Even businessmen need to keep their punches sharp and body in shape.

Security

While business goes on, suited men stand about. These normal-looking hosts are actually members of the Renshu Triads, and make sure no trouble goes on behind these doors. Before letting anyone in, weapons are confiscated at the door. These men are armed at all times, but keep their weapons mostly concealed to preserve the peaceful atmosphere. Any who choose to disobey the protocols will have to face the wrath of these men, and they are not your typical thugs, well trained in both martial arts and handguns. This business is well aware of more "supernatural" capable people, as well, so there are safeguards in place to counter such things. For instance, possession of anti-magic grenades that generate temporary null fields and the building's structure being more resilient to explosive damage.

Owner - Ko Yuen

Resting on the second floor of this establishment is the office of the owner of this business, Ko Yuen. Considered a top dog in the Renshu Triads, he has gained enough prestige and money to run such a business. He handles all administrative decisions over his business and group.

[Ko's Office]

Ko sat in his leather chair as the televisions over on the wall surveyed the current activity of the club. So far, everything was going smoothly. Income was keeping steady and all troublemakers were swiftly dealt with. He had a glass of brandy in his hand, taking sips from it now and again as he relaxed in his seat. He was currently in one of his five hundred dollar suits, a blue-colored one with a striped blue and black tie to compliment it. Two guys walked in, Triads working for Ko.

"Sir," one of them said to him in his chinese accent. "Your team members are scheduled to arrive soon."

Resting his glass down onto his desk, he stood to his feet.

"Excellent," he replied. "Make sure they get up here with no trouble. I'll be back. I need to go refill my drink."

The two men bowed to their leader as he walked past them, exiting his room and soon descending some back stairs into the hostess part of the building. Recognizing him right ahead, a bartender came up to take his glass and pour away a new refresh of the apple juice-like liquor.

After having received a letter regarding a possible job the woman found herself yet again wandering the streets of her home town, why was she looking for work? Well long story short Jay was nearly broke. Having spent all of the money she had as well as her friends/ boss's cash, all to get a mass amount of weaponry and to re-vamp the bar where she was already a manager.
But she was hardly ever there anyway, since the place pretty much ran itself.

So here she was, wandering the streets of Durem, the city lights beautiful and alluring, each street leading to another district where the lights continued to be just as dazzling. The young woman glanced about in awe, never had she managed to travel to this particular district before. Finding the oriental style fascinating to say the least, it also gave her a whole lot of ideas for a new outfit.

Yes she was a fashion freak, obsessed with looking her best and having an outfit for every occasion.

So as she continued down the road she came across the building that had been mentioned in the letter, stopping to smile softly while quickly tidying her hair and straightening out her shirt. Walking through the doors into the bar, looking about briefly before making her way to the counter, giving the bartender a friendly smile before waiting a few moments until she decided to order a drink.

Nothing strong, just a gin & tonic with a slice of lime, something refreshing and slightly tart to keep her alert.

So there she stood, wearing a tidy long sleeve black top, of course it was tight enough to show off her tidy curves, this was matched to rather tight black and purple pants with a decorative purple belt hanging loose over her hips, drawing attention to her well muscled legs. Finishing the outfit were a pair of black and purple high heeled boots.

Looking rather good like normal.

As usual, the guards didn't mind having their eyes wander to women who occasionally walked through. However, this woman seemed to be the first unique one to enter their doors. Her outfit was far from someone who was out for a stroll on the town. Maybe she came from a different culture, but she looked more fit for someone going on a diamond heist than a woman looking to get drunk and find men. Or maybe she had just come from an operation and was using this place as her rest point. It could happen. But it wasn't their place to judge.

Walking out into the bar with his glass in tow, Ko noticed a woman sitting there enjoying a drink. Just like the guards, he, too, had a similar opinion of what she may be. He walked over to her, though he chose to remain standing rather than take a seat. Ko had a couple of scars on his face, with one over his left eye and another along his left jaw. Despite this, his glasses made him look intelligent, and yet gruff at the same time. No facial hair, however. He had quite the look down for a middle-aged man.

"What is a woman like yourself doing in this part of town at this time? Just finished a big job, I assume?"

It would not take long for the woman to pick up she was being watched, well observed to be more specific, perhaps they had not seen someone like herself before? Or maybe it was her epic outfit, which was really just because she liked how it matched.
Then while she continued to sip on her drink a rather well presented man approached her, now she was in a calm state of mind at the moment, having made sure to of consumed her recommended daily amount of liquor before setting out for this place.
So instead of eyeing him up warily he would be met with a rather soft smile and a friendly expression to match.

"Well truth be told, I was looking for a job."

There was no point being coy when she had no idea who she was actually talking to, she just assumed he was another middle aged business man out for a quiet night on the town, or maybe one of the employees.

"A job, huh?"

Well, that's how it went these days. A woman walks into a place like this, sees some easy womanly work, and asks for a job. He couldn't argue with such initiative, so he gave a nod as he shrugged toward the doorway that led into the other parts of the building.

"I think I can help you with that. Follow me. I'll explain along the way."

He turned and walked over to the door, opening it for her. This was going to lead to the hostess room, where women and men mingled socially. It was the "true" bar of this business, and was perhaps the most popular for customers, especially men just getting off from a long day of work needing the company of a woman to soothe their needs.

Well that was quick, eagerly following the man into the adjoining room to see a completely different set up. Woman walking around with kind smiles serving drinks, a few men sitting around having a good time, others enjoying the company of some lovely ladies. Jay was liking the place more and more as she continued to walk two steps behind the man, glancing from left to right, wondering if she would be given one of the cute outfits to wear.

"This is a nice place."

A simple statement, still taking in the variety of games that were available, something she had never really spent a lot of time doing before was gambling.

"It should be. I put a lot of money into it. My name's Ko Yuen. If you want to be a hostess, you need to be able to cater to any customer that comes in. His likes, his dislikes, his taste in clothing, his taste in women. The more details you have on a customer, the more money you will get from him."

He spoke as they walked slowly through the room, some of the guards giving a simple nod to their employer.

"So this isn't an easy job where looks will you get you pretty far. You need to know how to manipulate yourself into a man's wallet, too. Fortunately, women have a natural talent for that."

He didn't care if she took his comment about women offensively. He was a very conservative guy, the type of man who felt that men were superior and the women meant to cater to their every mean. He didn't care if she hated him at this point, either. That was the way the world worked, and he rather have a woman with a realistic view rather than a feminist.

"Think you can do it?"

Jay tilted her head to the side and simply stared at Ko Yuen, she was not offended at all, but still a little taken aback by his bluntness. Sure she could find her way into men's wallets, and easily flow with a conversation which would have the man giving her all the information she needed.
Didn't hurt she was fit and curvy, as well a former dancer.

"Ain't that the truth, but I think I will do just fine. When can I start?"

Despite having a slight reservation about actually manipulating men, she needed the cash if she was going to fund her next big venture. So while keeping her soft smile in place she would await his answer, hopefully she would be given a bit of time to find something to wear, considering if she was going to be keeping people company, she should try for a more classy appearance.

Ko snapped his fingers. The nearest hostess walked over to them. She was a woman with blond hair and a red dress. She was also one of the supervisors over the other hostesses, having earned her position through doing this for years.

"Get her through the proper sign ups."

He looked back to the woman.

"How about starting now? By the way, what should I call you?"

Another thing that came with Ko was his accent. He was a Chinese speaker, so whenever he spoke English, he had that accent that showed through often. It was still feasible to make out, but his syllables were more stressed.

Jay enjoyed the accent, in fact it was more the human aspect she was finding rather nice, considering she happened to be unfortunate enough to work for a demon. The woman he had called over was rather beautiful, especially in the wonderful eye catching red dress that her slim body adorned.
Nodding politely at the woman before turning her attention back to Ko Yuen.

"I would love to start now, do I need to supply my own outfit?"

Pausing for a moment as she suddenly envisioned herself wearing a lovely black rhinestone encrusted bustier styled dress she had in her apartment, why she had not thought to bring it was beyond her.
Also thinking of whether it was a good idea to use her real details or not, then again what could possibly happen if she went by her real name.

"You may call me Jay, Jay. s. Borne."

Smiling briefly afterwards before looking to the woman once more, awaiting to be lead away to do the required paperwork and anything else that would be needed.

"No, Jay. That won't be necessary. We have more than enough outfits in the dressing room for you to choose from. Congratulations. You're now a hostess at Yuen Enterprises."

The woman guided Jay to the back room where most hostess employees got dressed and lingo'd with one another. With her gone now, Ko turned and walked himself back out of the room, deciding to return to his office on the second floor. Jay would find that she didn't really need to do any paper work. All employees were paid out directly, anyway, allowing them to bypass public regulations on businesses and the labor union.

"Do you have any questions," the supervisor asked.

"Thank you."

Following the woman through to another room, where there were make up tables and racks of some of the finest clothes she had ever seen. Wondering if she would be given one or would be allowed to choose one out for herself. Jay always looked good in darker colours, although something light could also look nice with her pale skin.

Any questions? Turning to face the woman in red once more Jay spoke softly, "Not really, I was just wondering what dress I can wear."

Looking around the room, she glanced a few other girls, each one beautiful in their own right, but neither had any real appeal to her. The silver streaked black hair she sported went well with her smooth pale skin, and curvaceous figure. The girls she saw were slim, and had one tone hair, bother fairly light in colour.

"So we get paid each night before we leave right? Also what happens when a gentleman want's to say...Book a girl out for the night and take them off the premises?"

"You can choose whatever clothing you like. As for your question on going outside the building, you are free to be taken on a date by your customer. However, you have every right to refuse anything beyond it being a social date. You're not obligated to do any more than that. If you have any trouble with a customer trying to force you into anything, let us know, okay?"

The supervisor directed her hand toward the clothing rack.

"Go ahead and choose your wear. I'll be outside if you need me."

She walked away, exiting the room.
