Surrounding Area/Grounds

Following the long dirt road you decided to happen upon, you sight the Tavern in the clearing fog . There are no nearby buildings, save a very old tower, approximately 100 feet tall near the old forest. The forest is quite close to the now growing compound, a rock's throw's distance. The forest is enchanted, not necessarily evil, but mysterious. Known by the locals as the Ithnu. About 15 miles through the forest is an old town; though I will not get into it as it is unimportant. The Tavern is very large, it has stone walls on the outside, wooden walls on the inside. The wooden portion of the Tavern is very sturdy as the owner took into consideration that fighting would most definitely be taking place both inside and out. Several large Oak trees were spread out among the grassy plain separating the Tavern and the forest. Those trees had been there for hundreds of years, tall as any tower and sturdy as a tank.

Entry Room/Main Bar Area

Upon stepping inside, 6 tables with 2-4 chairs each litter the wooden floor. There are three couches on different sides of the room. If one looked directly to their right after entering the room, they'd find a small cozy condition. Three chairs and a large white fur rug and a fireplace against the wall. Directly in front of newcomers the bar. The main attraction is huge, with 15 stools lined up across it. Behind the Bar are several shelves filled to the edge with hundreds of bottles of liquor, next to those shelves are another set of shelves and a gun rack with a padlock on it. Next to the Bar is a swinging door. Going past the swinging door you will find two sets of stairs, one of the stairs is leading down, one leading up. The stairs leading up are the guestrooms. There are roughly 15 guestrooms, each with the essentials of every hotel or inn. There is either a Queen or Twin sized bed, two nightstands, a small closet, and an armoire. The stairs leading down is Chance's private room, where he sleeps (The contents of my room will be kept private as, it is my room. Going back into the main bar area you will find two pool tables. There are two fire extinguishers behind the bar and several others around the room.

Guest Rooms

After going up the stairs one would find a long hallway with doors on either side. Each door is made of Redwood. At the end of the hallway is a window with a lamp above it. This window overlooks the grounds of the Moonlight Sonata. It is by far the best view found within the entire bar. Within each guest room is a small armoire a closet, either a twin or queen sized bed a desk beside a window and two lamps mounted on the wall on either side of the room. The floors are all wooden. There is also a sliding door on the right side of each room containing a small bathroom with a shower stall, sink, and toilet.

Defenses

The walls that make the Moonlight Sonata are composed of the following:
Stone
Wood (Mostly Oak, some Mahogany)
Steel (Mostly Brackets & Braces)
Concrete (Filling)

The exterior walls of the Moonlight Sonata are set in stone, excavated nearby from the various rock quarries. The interior is befitted with mahogany planks and with thick oaken doors. Beneath one's feet lay deep granite bedrock, cushioned by a neat and pleasant pine slotted floor. Structural beams are few and far between, with the resilient walls supporting the brunt of weight. Those few that are present are made to be easy on the eyes, either covered with faux stone or wood, hiding the sturdy concrete within.

Job Information/Descriptions
If you want a job, pm me about what you want to do, I'll think about it, and you could have a job that very same day. There are several requirements in order to work here.

- You must abide by the ToC provided by Gaiaonline.
- You must understand and abide by all of the rules.
- You must be literate! If you say you are and I find that you are not, you will be fired!
-Remember, everyone is a bouncer by default. I expect everyone who works for me to defend the bar at all costs whether you are a Cook or the Head of Security.
- Show up often! If you are one of those people who come on gaia like once a month, don't apply...I don't like having to wonder where my employees are....

Job Descriptions
Owner- Fairly self explanatary. If someone is listed under this category, they are either a co-owner, or the Owner themself.

Head of Security (HoS)- Again quite simple. The Head of Security could be compared to a general in the Army. He tells the Guardians what to do if there is an attack. Usually one of the better rpers employed.

Assistant Head of Security (AHoS)- Second in command to the HoS.

Guardian- Usually just one man or women who looks after the bar. He or she has no control over other employees but may join in for defense at any time. They follow a seperate ranking system and connot be compared to the HoS or AHoS. Normally extremely skilled. Guardian's are unlike other postions as it is not so much a job, as an obligation.

Advanced Security (AS)- High end Security Position. Creme of the crop. This is where everyone who has proven themselves as an excellent Roleplayer are placed. These men and women can throw down with the best of them. This position includes a variety of difference skill levels as it is the highest position offered to the general public.

General Security (GS)- Entry level Security position. This is where new employees are put who want to work security. They take orders from everyone, and give orders to none. If you are a good rper, you should rise from this position quite quickly.

Bartender- A bartender sits behind the bar counter and makes drinks. Bartenders may tell Waiters and Waitresses what they need to do.

Waiter/Waitress- Entry level position for catering.

Chef- Gourmet Kitchen postion. Top of the food chain in the kitechen.

Cook- Entry level Kitchen position.

Dancer- A mid-range position for Entertainers. Dancers are required to listen only to mid-range and higher personnel. They provide entertainment for the Moonlight Sonata and raise moral. Usually very friendly. Applicants must be literate but are not required to be skilled at fighting.

Singer- A mid-range position for Entertainers. Singers are required to listen only to mid-range and higher personnel. They provide entertainment for the Moonlight Sonata and raise moral. Usually very friendly. Applicants must be literate but are not required to be skilled at fighting.

Manager- Managers watch over the bar when neither Owners are present.

RULES & REGULATIONS


The following are the Rules & Reg's of the Moonlight Sonata. We do not use the three strike rule. You get one warning. If you continue to break the rules, your posts are subject to deletion. In more extreme cases, you may be banned from the thread.

Rules
Roleplaying Creed
1. Do not quote anything on the first page.

2. Literacy please. This means no chat or leetspeak, and at least an attempt at proper spelling and grammar. This includes the following:
a) Few/No emoticons during IC Roleplaying.
b) Properly spelled words(Remembar, noting screems imbecil faster than mispeeled wirds xd )
- One, two, and three line posts are allowed, so long as it provides adequate detail.

3. Cut your towers (Quotes).

5. No Godmoding, Godmodding, or anything of the sort. This will not be tolerated.

6. Do not advertise anything in this thread without my explicit permission first.

7. Don't drag someone into a storyline they don't want to be a part of.

8. No fighting upstairs unless I say different.

9. I have a tendency to kill bumpers.

10. We expect attacks now and then. But please, don't attack without first PMing [Chance] and giving us a fair amount of time to prepare. Besides, what's the point if there isn't any resistance?

11. Regarding Out Of Character chatting (OOC):
a) OOC chat is permitted, but keep it to a minimum. Offenders recieve one warning.
b) I understand your need to speak Out of Character just to vent and get away from Role Playing but please limit yourself to three OOC posts per one IC post.
c) The only people who are excluded from the above Rule 11b is [Chance] or, if your Role Playing Character (RPC) is somehow incapacitated or you are currently tied up in another Role Play.
d) No leetspeak.

12. These rules are subject to change without notification. It is your job to check them regularly, not mine.


Tournament Rules (Applicable Only During Tournaments)

1. Any and all rules previously stated in IC & OOC Sections unless stated otherwise.

2. You may not kill your opponent.

3. The ways to achieve victory are as follows:
A) Knockout
B) Near Death
C) Surrender

4. You may not suck an opponant into a void, vortex, blackhole, aether realm etc...Unless you have some way of bringing them back.

5. One weapon only. You are allowed only one weapon per match. If guns are used, you may bring only one magazine (Not one extra, just one)

6. Abide by A.M.P.

7. Matches can be stopped only by the following;

8. There is no set time limit. However, if a match lasts too long ( Say, three or four hours), it will be ended. The Victor will be determined by [Chance], Sassy Silante, or Fasumbra.

9. During a match, outside intervention must be ignored. If someone attempts to interfere (Other than those listed above), ignore them. I don't care if Jesus wants the fight stopped, if they are not on the list, the fight continues.

10. Multiple fights are likely to take place at the exact same time so as to accomadate the large amount of contestants within a reasonable amount of time. As said previously. If you are fighting in the same room as someone else, you ignore them. You cannot see them, you cannot hear them, they are not there. So, if someone turns the floor into spides for Fighters A & B, the floor is still normal for Fighters C & D.

11. 45 minute rule. If you do not post within 45 minutes of your opponents last (IC) post, you forfeit the match. (There are special circumstances, warn us if you have to leave)

12. No God-like charactors or anything of the sort.

13. One liner posts are not accepted.

Tournament Regulations

1. You must post a profile for the character you are fighting with at the beginning of each match. This profile must include the following criteria:

Weight:

Gear & items:

Short Bio:

2. Font Size must be size 9 and either uncolored, or an easily readable color (No hot pink or yellow)

3. Roll one six sided Di (Dice) before a match. The player who rolls the highest number may choose who goes first.

4. There is no need for an entrance. When the fight begins you are automatically inside of the Arena (Layout in first post) approximately 250 feet apart.


LODGING
- You may stay overnight via the guest bedrooms upstairs.
- As said before, no fighting upstairs, it will not be tolerated.
- Lodging will cost 120 gil per night (No I'm not going to actually charge you).
