The sound of thunder rumbled across the sky and the storm clouds overheard finally began to rain upon them. "Wake me up!" Frayda cried at Bentley, tears running down her face. The dream began to fade away until it abruptly ended and she awoke on the beach as herself, back at the Manor. She heard the end of Mohan's sentence as she came to, realizing she'd left her clothes somewhere far away..

"Yes I do. ******** you! You don't know anything about what's proper or not!" Bentley yelled at Mohan as he stood to his feet, the instinct for survival overriding the pain and giving him a burst of adrenaline to attack. He'd slipped his hold on the dream and was ready to lunge for Mohan's throat with his fangs when Fray cried out his name, Mohan's name--and Bentley turned to her with rage and hurt in his expression as he intended to yell at her to shut up, but his eyes widened when he saw her standing there naked. She hardly seemed to care about her lack of clothing, she had her arms wrapped around her body, shivering from the chill of the rain and ocean wind. She looked kind of pathetic and rather miserable, her tail and ears dripping wet, but ravishing still. "Please. Please don't hurt him.." She was pleading, hoping that Mohan would end his pain because it was bleeding into her, making her feel sick to her stomach with guilt.
Mohan really didn't expect Bentley to apologize. As he yelled out '******** you', Mohan shot his arrow, but Bentley stood to his feet with a burst of adrenaline. Mohan stepped back, unable to reload fast enough as Bentley aimed for his throat.

"Mohan!" Fray's words caught his ears, and apparently Bentley's too, as the vampire turned his bared fangs away. This was Mohan's opportunity. He reached into his pocket, withdrawing one of the several stakes he had in his possession.

With one hand he grabbed onto Bentley's shirt collar, jerking him down, and with the other hand he shoved the white oak stake upward, his strength easily piercing through flesh and ribs to pierce into Bentley's heart.

Blood exploded outward, drenching down the stake and down Mohan's arm. He held Bentley there, twisting the stake to make sure it was securely in. Blood splattered onto Mohan's glasses, which were cracked from all the fighting. His eyes were merciless and cold - although Bentley's gaze was fixed on Fray, so he didn't see the ruthlessness in Mohan's expression.

Moments ticked by. It seemed like minutes of sudden silence, extinguished only by the distant rumble of thunder and the drops of rain against the waters of the ocean. There was a pulse of energy, like a soundwave, that echoed out from the stake and from Bentley. As the pulse echoed outward, the trees and grass would ruffle as though a wind blew past. Inside the manor, the vampires ensnared in the devil's trap would suddenly cease any movements, disintegrating like dust in the wind.

Suddenly Mohan would feel a burning in his hand. He would let go of the stake, watching as Bentley slumped over towards Fray. He looked at his hand which was now red from burning. He was human, and thus killing Bentley did not kill him, but perhaps he was just mutant enough that it at least hurt when he did it. He shook his hand in a meager attempt to cool his flesh from the burn.

Thieving Rogue

Saria's eyes widened as Bentley attacked, but he was too close to Mohan for her to make a shot. But she blinked - or so it seemed - and suddenly everyone's movements had stopped. Bentley was looking at Fray.. Fray was naked (????).. and Mohan was covered in blood. She lowered her bow, looking off towards the trio on the beach.

He did it. He did it!

She felt the energy pulse blow past her, blue strands of hair blowing backwards as it did. She turned her head, looking towards the manor, following the blast. She could feel through the plantlife in the manor - through Kira's devil's snare - and she could feel the bodies turn to ash.

She turned her eyes again, looking towards the beach. There was an eerie silence now.

Fray gasped loudly when Mohan stabbed the stake directly into Bentley's heart, the burning pain searing through her body followed by an uncomfortable hollow feeling. The pulse of his life energy passed through her, blowing sand against her bare skin. She watched the light disappear from his blue eyes as his body fell to the ground and his skin began to fade to a dull, lifeless gray.. The kitsune stared at him in shock, wind blowing hair in her face as tears rolled down her cheeks. She was speechless, cold, and in pain.. Victory made her feeling more broken than she thought it would, the deaths of the hybrids sending less intense ripples of energy through her as they passed on.

Lightning would flash across the sky and rain would begin to pour harder as the storm moved in. Miles down the beach, the death of Jayke had triggered a spell and done exactly what Mohan had doubted him on.. The coffins that were stored underwater had been pulled ashore, a lid opening slowly as a young blonde woman climbed out of the plush chamber. Her body felt stiff and achy from being asleep for centuries.. She stretched her arms as blue eyes glanced around the area, seeing another coffin nearby. It was storming and thankfully the clouds were blocking the sun.. She didn't have to worry about being burned alive. She instinctively reached for her daylight necklace but it was missing. Wait.. where WAS her necklace?! She needed to find shelter before the storm passed over, but she had some time so she attempted to open the other coffin but it was locked. She growled, trying to break it open but there was a spell on it preventing it from being opened. "Think, Rebekah, think.." She told herself aloud in a strong british accent. The first memory she could recall was Jayke, sticking a dagger into her heart, which made her grit her teeth with anger. Once she found shelter, she'd track him down and figure out how to get her brother out of the damn coffin.
Unaware of the scene unfolding down the beach, Mohan turned his attention from his burning hand to Fray. He suddenly realized that she was completely exposed. He had been focusing on Jayke so he didn't even notice. Immediately he pulled off his tattered lab coat, which was torn and frayed from the battle. He approached Fray, pulling the coat around her shoulders and covering her.

Mohan's clothes were a mess, too. He suddenly felt the weight of exhaustion upon him, and pain seared through his body from every conceivable place. His muscles were in pain, he felt the impact from rolling off the roof. He was certain several of his ribs were cracked, if not broken. And his chest was sliced open, still bleeding slowly although not in a life threatening way. He was breathing heavily, his body finally allowing him to process all of the pain that the adrenaline had blocked.

"Remind me to make some clothes for you." Mohan said, his voice pained but he cracked a smile as he did so. He had special clothing that morphed with him, which was why every time he transformed he didn't end up naked like she currently was.

But he frowned, seeing that Fray wasn't in a mood to even process his joke. He looked down at Bentley, seeing the cold corpse staring up at the two of them. He calmly reached down, pushing his eyelids shut.

He winced as he stood back up, pulling his arms across his torso. It was apparent that he was in a lot of pain. But good ol' Mohan, he only had one thing on his mind.

"is.. is everyone okay? Are you okay?"

Fray didn't know how to process her own pain that was weighing on her like the storm clouds above. When Mohan draped the coat around her, she pulled it closely around her.. they were both drenched now though. She still didn't know what to say, so she just hugged him, resting her head against his chest and feeling his warmth. She was crying, shivering, and practically an all-around mess. She'd only had her humanity turned on for a few hours and feeling Bentley's painful death wasn't exactly a joyride. She didn't know what Bentley had told Mohan in the heat of their battle and who had heard, making her want to bury her face and hide. It was over, and Mohan looked torn to hell. She felt sore and bruised herself with a few scraps from the explosion that went off. She just wanted to embrace him and appreciate that he was alive for a few moments.

Rebekah realized there was nothing she could do to get the coffin open, so she began to walk through the woods when she saw a white fox watching her curiously. When she get near to the white fox, it ran off through the trees and she chased after it. She had some idea where they were headed. The beach was familiar.. She used to come and play with Nik and Jayke there when they were kids, but she wasn't sure how far it was to the Heartless Manor. Assuming it was still there.. who knows what had happened during the time that passed while she was locked in a dark coffin? She sighed, annoyed that she didn't even know what year it was and her dress was getting wet. She was wearing a cream embellished dress, a feather headband and long pearls around her neck. White gloves on her hands, heels on her feet, she looked formally dressed for a party in the 1930s, which was exactly when she'd been alive last.

Thieving Rogue

Saria clicked the button on her bow and it retracted, turning again into a slim brown bar that she slipped back into her pouch. Everyone was getting drenched, but no one seemed to care. A great weight was lifted from Saria, although her look remained stern as usual. She considered Jayke's last words, a threat about next of kin.

As Mohan and Fray embraced, she approached, keeping her eyes on Jayke. A cursory nod to Ralic would indicate her intentions, although their bond communicated clearly without her body language.

"We need to burn his body." She responded. Ralic trotted up to him, chomping down on his shoulder and beginning to drag him away. She looked to Mohan and Fray. Their combined exhaustion and pain reminded her that she too had injuries. She glanced to her shoulder where she had been knifed and frowned. Her numb-all ring was still in effect, and she certainly had other injuries as well that she didn't notice due to its magic, and she shuddered inwardly as she considered what pain would sear through her body once she removed the ring.

She turned, heading back towards the manor with Ralic in tow. They were not going to wait another second. Last time they waited merely an hour to dispose of the body the Bentley managed to wake up. Although he was certainly dead - the destruction of his hybrids being the proof of that - she couldn't be too sure. He threatened her home, her family, her child.. and neither she nor Ralic were going to let him out of their sight until there was nothing left of him to return.

It was pouring down rain, but that wouldn't stop them from burning the body. She knew Yuni's flames would fight the water droplets. As she walked back towards the manor, Ralic easily pulling Bentley's corpse in tow, twigs and branches began to sprout from the ground, forming a pyre much like the one she put Frayda on not too long ago. As they got closer, Ralic pulled Bentley onto the pyre, happy that he had the chance to finally sink his teeth into him, even if it was just a corpse.

Mohan wrapped his arms around Fray, resting his cheek on top of her head. He exhaled loudly, stroking her back in a comforting manner as she cried into him.

"Its over." He whispered to her, and also to himself. "Its over. Its over."

But his exhaustion was too much. He felt his knees shake and give out. He held on to Fray so they sort of slumped over together; her an emotional wreck, he a torn up mess. As Ralic and Saria came to take away Bentley's body, he wished they would take away him and Fray too. He didn't have the strength to stand up. He didn't have to strength to repair any injuries, despite his desire to put everyone else first. With his cheek still against Fray's head, he felt his eyelids shutting, his physical and emotional fatigue washing over him.

"Its over..."

And the poor doctor passed out, still holding on to Fray.

Fray felt Mohan start to shake and held onto him tightly, supporting him before he passed out so he wouldn't fall over. "Mohan..?" She checked to make sure he had just passed out, her heart skipping a beat when she thought maybe the stake had hurt him more than she'd anticipated. But he was only unconscious, and she breathed a sigh of relief, although a worried look was on her face as she half carried/dragged him towards the Manor. Saria and Ralic took Bentley's body but she didn't wish to see it burn, only concerned with taking Mohan inside and making sure he was okay when he woke up. Once she'd gone through the back door, Fray took one glance at the stairs and decided it would be too hard to drag him up, so she took him to the lab instead. It would be easier to treat his wounds there anyway

Once he was on the bed, Fray carefully took off his wet clothes. He was covered in blood but it was hard to tell whether it was his blood or Bentley's, so she washed it off and cleaned any cuts he had. For now, he needed rest so she covered him with a warm blanket. She was wet and half-naked herself so she went to change out of her clothes. As she walked back up the stairs, she could hear the sound of rain leaking through the ceiling somewhere in the Manor.. probably the bar where the explosions had gone off earlier. When she got to the attic, she walked over to the window that Bentley and Mohan had smashed into, cold wind and rain blowing in through the opening. The papers on her desk had blown most of the candles out and papers across the floor. A drawing of her that Bentley had done lay in front of her and she reached down to pick it up the wet picture, looking at it and sighing The papers scattered everywhere were notes about him.. some of them had blown out the window. She fell to her knees, overwhelmed with sadness and grief. She should be relieved he was gone but she only felt guilty for causing so much pain and death.

Rebekah had made her way through the woods following the fox when they came to the beach, the Manor standing far in the distance. She smiled with relief when she saw lights on, assuming someone had to be home. She didn't want to walk in the sand in heels, so she took them off and began to walk up towards a pathway that would lead her there faster. When she got to the Manor, she didn't see anyone around. She walked through the yard, seeing papers scattered across the lawn and quirked her brow. The faint smell of blood was in the air, she could smell it distinctly because she was starving.

After the hybrid disappeared in Yuni's darkness, the Nekojin regrouped back on the roof with Kai as the angel watched the happenings from her perch. Yuni was panting from both mental and physical fatigue. Makes sense when you have to keep your mind in check, while being blown up. Kai let her Charge have her minute of stooped over panting, clicking the safety back on her gun and beginning to stand. She left a satchel of ammo on the roof with the deadly machine, now unable to even pick either of them up. Yuni thought she was speaking to a ghost instead of a moving statue.

"You... you said he'd 'ave... Fray..." Yuni managed, violet and icy eyes glaring at the angel.

The translucent thing merely shrugged, looking up and slightly to the left when referring to their Writer. "A minor miscalculation."

The rain started about then, and Yuni groaned in exasperation. She hated being wet. But the water droplets seemed to merely pass through Kai as she ghosted on off the roof, landing by the entrance. The dangers past, those Spriggans carried out with them a limp dove into the ballroom. The devil's snare had nothing else to hold with the hybrids turning to ash, and no energy source as it withered to hard sticks and twigs. Kira was absolutely spent, and would probably be out for a while. Kai let those nature protectors hold onto their feathered mistress, bottomless eyes watching Saria and Ralic return with the body and the start of a pyre. The sound of Yuni making a sloppy landing nearby could be heard with a loud and wet 'thwump', followed by groans. Kai felt everyone was here, safe and alive and well enough not to fret over them.

Plus one. Ghostly eyes averted from Saria and the pyre parade to look towards the building, feeling a female presence similar to Bentley. Kai's sigh sounded like a tired wind. From Kira's now unguarded mind, Kira knew of those siblings. The ghostly thing made gestures for Yuni to go help Saria with the burning, and the kitten teen whined and still got up to scuttle towards the building pile of twigs.

Kai continued to stare towards the front of the property, through the building. The rain around her began to freeze as they passed through her corporeal form.

After Fray had changed into dry clothes, she went back downstairs to check on Mohan. He was stil asleep in the lab so she went to the bar to see how much damage had been done. It was still raining and the floor had several inches of water in it. "s**t.." She murmured, leaning against the doorway. The whole bar ceiling had collasped--chunks of the rafters, pieces of glass from bottles and other mangled debris littered the area.

As Rebekah walked up the path to the front door, she picked up a piece of paper that was laying in on the steps. Her eyes widened as she read over the words scrawled on it. It had names listed in a diagram, her name along with Jayke, Niklaus, Elijah, Mikael, and Ester--a family tree. She glanced upward, scanning the area for any sign of people around. She could hear voices coming from out back, somewhere on the roof..and the smell of smoke. A confused expression was spread across her face as she walked up the stairs with the paper in hand and slowly opened the front door. It had been her house after all. She saw the water leaking into the hall and someone was standing in the doorway.

Fray heard the front door creak open and expected to see Ralic or Saria coming in but it was a stranger. A blonde woman that looked incredibly familiar. Fray' almost gasped when she realized where she recognized her from--Bentley's memories. It was Rebekah, his sister. The girl glared at her with surprise. "What happened here?" Rebekah asked, and Fray stumbled over her words. "I know you," She said quietly, her green eyes studying her face. She'd seen her in memories, but to see her in the flesh was startling. "You're.. Rebekah."

Rebekah held up the paper she'd found of the diagram. "I presume this is yours, then? What happened?" She asked, peering in the doorway to see the damage in the bar. "What do you know about my family? Do you know Jayke?" She looked at Fray suspiciously, then noticed something glimmer in the light. "And where did you get that?! That's my necklace!" She said, seeing the bracelet on Fray's wrist and tearing it off.

Frayda furrowed her eyebrows, unsure of what Rebekah was talking about when she snatched the bracelet right off her arm. "Um.. yes, I know your brother," She said, "There must be some misunderstanding.. that is my bracelet." Rebekah grabbed Fray by the throat, slamming her against the wall and baring her fangs at her. She seemed to share something in common with Bentley--his temper. "Where the hell is my brother?" She asked, using compulsion on Fray. Except Fray was on vervain so it wouldn't work. She was struggling to breath and Rebekah loosened her grip on her throat. Fray leaned against the wall, tring to catch her breath after being choked. "He's gone," She said, knowing Rebekah would want her to elaborate. She didn't know if telling her that they'd killed him was a bad idea or not.

Thieving Rogue

As Yuni moped over to the pyre, Saria glanced at the groaning neko with a brow quirked. "You alright?" She asked, although by Yuni's mannerisms she could tell she was fine, if not tired. Also, cats and water don't mix too well.

"Could you incinerate this a**?" Saria asked bluntly, returning her gaze to the pyre with Jayke on it. She didn't even care if Yuni made a nice bonfire or if she could just *poof* and leave nothing but ashes. "Get it over with, please. I can't stand another second of this."

She seemed pretty irritated for someone who just won a battle -- but the reason was because she could feel something was off. She felt footprints on the grass, cautiously making their way towards the manor and up the front porch steps. And Jayke's threat lingered in her ears. She glanced to Ralic, silently requesting him to stay back and watch the body burn to ensure that Jayke wasn't going to surprise them later.

She turned, making her way back towards the manor. Her elven ears picked up a thud coming from the bar room which sounded suspiciously like fighting and she needed to go investigate. She pulled open the back door, immediately noticing the water pouring into the manor from the severely damaged hallway. There were female voices, and Saria picked up her pace as she rounded the corner into the bar.

Catching the last bit of Rebekah's violent questions, Saria paused at the entryway to the bar, leaning her hip against what was left of the wooden frame.

"Rebekah," She said, as though she had been expecting company. "Good to see you. I bet it feels good to finally be awake."

Saria was bullshitting a story on spot, of course, but she did it so expertly that you wouldn't even be able to tell. She glanced to Fray and then again to Rebekah calmly, as though all of this was going according to some secret plan.

"Its true. Jayke's gone. When we heard what he had done to you, we knew the right thing to do would be to try and rescue you. So, here you are. Welcome to 2014."

String x Theory

Rebekah heard the foot steps of someone coming in. For a moment, she thought it might be Jayke--but it was another stranger. And she was spouting off about rescuing her..? "Who are you?" She asked the two of them, "What is your relationship with my brother?" She was shocked to hear that it was 2014.. so many years had passed since she'd been alive. Her blue eyes looked trouble with worry as she repeated the year in her britist accent, as though it would make more sense if she said it aloud. "Where's he gone too, then?" There were so many questions. First off.. the fashion they were wearing was very different from what they wore in the 1930s.

Surprisingly, Saria managed to bullshit a story and Fray looked impressed. When she asked about their relationship, Fray took the wheel. She knew more about Rebekah from Bentley's memories.. "My name is Frayda. Your brother did to me what he did to you. He manipulated and used me for his own gain. I.. I know how you felt. I saw his memories of you," She said, her expression softening. "He destroyed the Manor in an angry rage and then left for good. I don't know where to." She hoped that they'd burned Bentley's body now before so there wouldn't be any unfortunate discoveries.

That did sound like Jayke.. Rebekah's mind was racing with questions that she didn't have answers to and she had to take a deep breath, running her hand through her hair as she wondered how Fray and the elf knew Jayke. The cold didn't bother her, but she was in her bare feet and the floor was covered in water and sharp objects she could step on. If he was really gone, she'd have to track him down.. But she had a feeling he'd be back to settle the score eventually. In time she'd be able to find out how to get Nik out of the coffin. She also was furious that Fray had her bracelet. "How'd you get this?" She asked, holding the pendant up.
"It was given to by my mother," Fray said it as though it were fact, but Rebekah looked confused. "No, this is /mine/. My mother gave it to me when I become a vampire." Fray didn't understand, but she was beginning to suspect Bentley had something to do with it. "Well, I don't need it anymore now that I'm cured. It's spelled to protect you from the sun." Rebekah chuckled, of course it did because her mother had spelled it to 1000 years ago. Jayke must have taken it and given it to this poor girl, and also muddled with her mind quite a bit... he must've really liked her if he had turned her into a vampire. But he had done something horrible to damage her, it seemed. She shook her head with a sigh, recalling how controlling and abusive Jayke can be.

"Aye, I'll live..." Yuni grumped, slate hair sticking to her face and curtaining her eyes in spite of her annoyance. She straightened up, pushed the sopping hair from her face, and glared multicolored eyes to the pile of a*****e and wet wood. Saria wanted it and him burned, and Yuni was on the same page.

"With pleasure." The Nekojin growled, nudging her fire with a gusto to get its flickering a** moving. It didn't like the rain. The rain's too wet, too icky, it'd say. Yuni forced it, and soon there were inky spouts of it cackling and hissing against the rain that struck the pyre. It'd burn if it killed her. It wouldn't, but it was a moving sentiment in Yuni's mind.

The pyre bonfire raged on, low in height, but raging. Yuni yowled quietly in utter hatred, feeling in the pit of her belly how she wished she could have gotten a solid hit on Bentley. But at least she gets to burn his body, eat him up and everything. The pyre wouldn't take long to burn down, her fire even going on to eat his very bones.

"S'whatcha get for talkin' like ya know Kurosu, punk..."

Kai turned her attention to her Charge after Saria left to intercept the sibling with Fray. The kid's manic anger was almost tangible to the ghostly angel. Kai couldn't delay any longer, though. She had waited long enough for her hunt and Kira wasn't going to turn back on her own. The translucent thing silently left the Manor to go to those hunting grounds, far from the woods that Saria was in tune with and the town full of delicious people...
Ralic nodded in agreement, his eyes watching Saria as she walked towards the manor. His leg's ache was turning into a searing pain as the silver continued to poison the flesh that surrounded it. With the adrenaline beginning to die, the sensation became more prevalent and he knew that his wound needed to be tended to and soon or it would only cause more issues. The wound made him irritable and wild, his wolf refusing to show weakness though the silver was slowly draining him as his body tried to heal itself but couldn't. He had a more heightened reaction to silver and it would soon be obvious.

He stared intently at the pyre, sitting like a statue though he felt restless. He knew nothing of Jayke's siblings and he did not like that his wife was in her presence, especially if she were as invulnerable as her brother. He let out a sigh, glancing at Yuni to attempt to give her a tired wolf smile though it was difficult to smile with a muzzle

(I finally get time and I miss everything. Saria did a fine job filling in for me though.)
